Glad I subscribed as your tutorials are clear and concise, Just got AP today and already liking it, it is very much like PS in some ways, maybe in a few months or so I'll be saying goodbye to PS for good, but I do like their new tools such as 'Remove' tool and the Generative Fill and AI engine so may just keep both. We'll see. Hope you are feeling better as I heard from your other video you had a cold.

Now i just need to watch everything you have on here to learn. thanks again.
Hey! Thanks so much for the comment. I hope you find my stuff helpful! That is actually a great idea LUTS (look up tables) are like filters you put over photos to give them a certain feel/look. I've never done anything on those before. That is something I will certainly look into now! Appreciate you taking a moment to comment and subscribing - thank you!

Thank you! I am one of those out there that is on the PS jump ship bubble. I use a lot of luminosity and color range masks in PS. Am I able to do the same with AP? I would love to isolate different tonal ranges in the image for specific adjustments. I also wish AP would allow the use of 3rd party panels to make this process easier. Anyway, new subscriber and thank you for the video!
Hey Dwight! Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. If you're on a PC try right clicking on your mask button at the bottom of the layers panel (if you're on a MAC Option Click) You should see Compound mask and luminosity range masks in there. Let me know if that helps!
Hey! Instant Sub! Btw i have a question im not sure if you have a way to work around it, but is there an alternative to the smooth pencil tool in affinity designer? I switched to affinity and love it ! but this is the only thing im missing.
Thank you so much for watching and subbing, truly appreciated! As for the smooth pencil you could try the Stabilizer option in Designer. It should show up as an option in your toolbar when the pencil is selected. Let me know, I know it has helped some people doing the transition.
My brother consider turning these tips and tricks into shorts. Each short can give you a lot of views and I'm pretty sure that shorts will grow your account faster. Consider it brother.

My only concern is my dwindling eyesight and the huge array of menu icons almost all around - Does Affinity cater for those of us who needs icons a bit larger….?
Hey Matthew,
Although you can't change icon size in Affinity, you have a few options:
For your tools you can remove what you might not need by going to 'view > customise tools' and dragging them off
You can do the same for the top toolbar by going to 'view > customise toolbar'
Many users have found changing the icons to black and white helps - this can be done by going to 'settings > user interface' and checking off 'Monochromatic Icongraphy'
Under these settings you can also make your font bigger and change the background style from light to dark (i like dark personally)
Affinity Photo allows you to close panels and only bring them back when needed as well. This can free up some room.
The icons COULD be made larger by changing the settings on your computer (overall change) as well.
Let me know if I can help in any other way!
