Actually, the problem is not with the valve itself but its height. Your valve is doing precisely what it's supposed to. An anti-siphon valve should always be installed higher than the highest point in the system it controls. I'm guessing you have sprinklers somewhere that are higher than the head of this valve. Find the highest point in this system, then add pvc extenders to raise the height of your valve above that point and your problem should be solved. (I had this problem myself.)

Hmm... After your fix, the leaking indeed stopped. You had some minor backflow after the system.stopped running, but after it quickly stabilized, your video seems to show that the leaking stopped. No further drips occurred after the backflow trickled down and ceased. Right? Am I missing something?

This was on a zone in which we added a higher set of sprinkler risers, so it was definitely a back-flow issue for part of it. You are correct, if it was just a back-flow issue only, it would stop. But then if you kept listening, there was a little trickling sound that kept happening and Flume kept giving us a leak alert. Ultimately, we had to have it replaced along with some other work and it's better now. The backflow issue is only about 1/4 the water you see in this video, so not nearly as bad and no more trickling sound.

Brand new Genie valves I installed. I do have check valves, but they still leak.

Did you find a fix? Having the exact same issue with a 2400T Purchased a new valve and replaced all the top parts but still a steady leak

Both yes and no. One of the valves was definitely broken but then another one started to do it and we spent all this time and money getting someone to come out and finally replacing it and doing a bunch of changes but it still does it. And you know what… it was my own silly fault. I installed a raised misting system on two of the valves. just so some of the plants can get some air moisture in our extreme heat and it’s the backflow that’s coming out of the valves which is natural. So in if any of the irrigation emitters are above the level of the valve, It will do this. So let’s say your valve is 1 foot above the ground but elsewhere in your yard you have some emitters that will be 3 feet above, this is just natural and the way it is supposed to work - just a waste of water but it’s to prevent water from going back into your main pipe.

Did you ever try putting check valves on your actual line somewhere between the valve and the sprinklers? I believe check valves stop water from going backwards in the line.

I have the same problem. Water is leaking through the valve into the vacuum chamber. It has been leaking for over 48 hours and it is 6" above all sprinklers.
