If Tripti was a Starkid, she would have gotten appreciation, more phenomenal roles, the success she deserves, and become one of the top A-listed actresses. It's time to recognize real talent ❤️. Giving attention to overrated people needs to be stopped.
@@Atheism712 it's more about blind followers and mainly media or their PR. Star Kids are privileged even though they don't have any X-factor and that's the fact. Accept it or not.
I was not expecting something like this in the movie. lack of awareness about Mental health in 1940s and discrimination amongst male and female artists, how a female artist had to struggle to survive in the industry that's all have been portrayed well. Very simple story , no twists but extraordinary cinematography and outstanding actings , I feel like this is why I have Netflix Subscription
The scene in which Qala (Tripti Dimri) mirrors the drop of Mercury moving through her palm, is reminiscent of Lady Macbeth and her hallucination of Act II, Scene II - "All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand" Thought provoking and it's concept of extracting peace is dark and scary. Kudos to the creative team 🔥👏
She actually said in an interview that she was fearing that she might act same as she acted in bulbul , which actually suggests that she is actually an intelligent actor
Psychological/ Horror genre is something not seen alot in Bollywood. I think the last time Bollywood made something was kartik calling kartik and that was such a great work but it didn’t worked out and was declared a flop. Qala is something which stays with you for weeks. I mean the visuals, cinematography and songs are soo amazing. I hope Bollywood make more movies like this
Tripti is far better than many actresses. Hope she get big projects lile sanjay leela bhansali upcoming. She always did fantastic job laila majnu, bulbul, now qala
actually i watched qala and it was fabulous... hum kab hollywood ki movies ko stunning aur visually appealing bolenge... for me qala is a artistic, visual, musical and societal masterpiece... the way in which it portraits the dark secrets of the entertainment industry, the jealousy, mental health and society around 1960-1970s is superb ♥️🙌
Such a great film. It really breaks my heart as people are simply disguising it as slow and boring. The similar thing happened with geheraiyaan where film was so layered and well made but was widely bashed.
I watched this last night and it was absolutely brilliant. I have no words. From actors to set designs to the detailed hair and costume to the music to the subtext between the actual text (dialogues). I don't know why I waited this long to watch it but it's a worthy successor to Bullbul.
Watched it yesterday Felt just a bit slow Mom daughter relationship and struggle of female singer in that era, dark truth of music industry and qala herself doodh ka dhula nehi hai, she is also selfish So this movie lacks a bit in pointing out what exactly it wants to point out Cinematography/acting/music 💯
If you have seen the movie I know Qala is not right but she was always neglected by her mom her soul was always searching for validation and love from her mom since childhood , she doesn't have friends , she was always suffering from mental health issues because of her Mom, and if you have mental health problem its impossible to understan what is right and wrong and the guy killed himself I know she indirectly killed her but he didn't aware about consequences of her doing ,.movie is slow coz you need to feel what director want to convey to us and she succeeded , this is first time I saw dipression on screen with colours , Fog ,snow thunder what an imagination Avnita dutt as.director have she is marvelous and I must say one of the most talented director
Lekin qala ko uss hath tak kisne ghaseeta? Family aur society.
When you mentioned "maine unhe aankhon se baat karte dekha hai" I was instantly reminded of that scene from bulbul, when she meets satya, aka the chote "thakur" after he comes back after his "witchhunting session" or more so finding proof about the witch, & she is sitting there on the staircase, to "welcome" him, her eyes speaks volume in that particular scene. I honestly went back & replayed that scene, it was perfection, the aura she had, the way her eyes conveyed a 1000 different emotions, was just beautiful, the way her eyes acknowledges him, yet mocks him in a certain way that, oh you're finally here, the pain, the anger, the suffering that her eyes still hide, yet she comes off infront as such a strong personality, who won't let guards down easily, was encapsulated in that scene pefectly. To this date I cannot get over tripti dimri's acting in bulbul. And I honesly watched "QALA" just to see her act, & my oh my this movie. From the plot, to the acting, the dailouges, the cinematography, the charecter arcs, the songs, the cast, every little detail in this movie is a class apart. I just watched it a few hours back, so I'm still processing the beauty that this movie is. If not for anything watch it for the acting of not just tripti dimri, but also the other supporting cast & crew. Hands down, one of the best movie I've watched this year.
I think the parallel we can draw between mother and daughter that what price you are willing to pay for fame and both are willing to do ANYTHING. Its hautingly beautiful.
Such a great movie really I can't say how I am feeling after watching this movie. I can't get over of this movie. Story, acting, music, cinematography and direction all are excellent. I just give 5 out of 5 and I don't have any words for this movie.

Mein Qala ki mom ko kuchh kehna chahti hu🙂 Qala jab duniye chhod ke chali gyi tab uski mom bht ro rhe the, par behen jab tumhari beti puri zindagi Thora sa pyar pane ke liye tadap ta rahi to kaha tha tumhari ye pyar 🙂
Wahi. Uski maa pehle se hi depressed thi... Fir apni acchi khasi ladki ko mental patient bana diya uss era mein jab biology physical se bahar hi nahi gyi. Aur fir maar bhi diya jab uski maa ko hosh aaya... Ab uski maa poori jindagi depress rahegi. Sahi hai..... Well last mein really usne shoch de diya tha.
*Spoiler alert* I know I'm a bit late but i recently watched this movie and i couldn't stop thinking about it. Particularly the scene where she sings the chorus "Phero Na Najariya" and exactly at that moment her mother looks away and walks off doing exactly the opposite of what her daughter is asking her to do ! And at the beginning of the song Qala sings "taaro ko tohri na chedoongi ab se" implying she would never mess with his stars again ✨ right after spiking his drink with mercury (i guess). Idk if these were intentionally made or just a co-incidence but it makes the movie so much more beautiful ❤️

Did you Watched London Dreams movie of salman khan and ajay devgn ...the story of that movie is very much similar to Qala

Yes you r right .....she saw blood and qala saw mercury in her hand ✋🥺
