"when was the last time you killed so hard the next guy bombed" more like "when was the last time the 20 comics before you bombed and you still killed"
Exactly! It's a little bit weird that Burr and Queen is on every black youtubers react list. But hey, not complaining. Very enjoyable. 😊 Just maybe wish there was more Stanhope, Carlin and Hicks. 😜 and some Bowie.
@@supersimmons14 In your mind maybe. The rest of the world views it differently. The Phillies actually won 2 years after this, but the line about their uniforms is still hilarious 12 years later. He went hard. On top of that, Eagles fans had to wait like 12 years to say, "We won." He fucking killed it.
that's why i watch reactions of people watching shit i already watched before. like Lost in Vegas,Tyrone Magnus. and i also get the feeling of Unity i follow this guys called Normies and after i watch an episode of a show i watch their reaction and i feel like i'm watching with them ....yeah its wierd but i feel like i know them
Yeah, it's like you can bug your friends forever to watch a thing you already watched with you, and they just get annoyed by it, until they never want to watch it at all.
I was at this show. It was amazing to watch Burr do this. This was part of the opie and anthony's traveling virus comedy tour. The first comic was booed off the stage in front of his family.
Dude, I used to HAAAATE reaction channels. But honestly, I've seen a lot of entertaining ones over the past few months. And like you said, people show things to people to see how they react to them. You were spot on man.
In regards to your intro, I agree completely. It's why I like the LostInVegas guys so much. Them discovering metal for the first time and different bands reminded me so much of when I was as a kid. And recently, I've been watching lots of people discovering my favorite comedians. Cheers man, keep on keeping on.
I like him too. It's funny about stereo typing though. Pretty much everyone that was metal I know of, hated hip-hop, but loves Wu-Tang Clan. Have you noticed that?
me too, i also love this guy called YouYouYou!!!, he also start getting into metal and it's great see him reacting to korn, rage against the machine for the first time.
LiV is like the Siskel & Ebert of hiphop, with their depth of knowledge, open minds, and analytical breakdowns. But I like their metal reactions as well. They bring the same skills across to it (except for the knowledge part, but they're coming up quickly).
I agree, It's why i like a certain reaction channels. Lost in Vegas is a great channel to me also. Kig Guap is another guy i watch. Because he reminds me of when i was growing up and listening to Hip Hop. The rewinding and such. The same with KTF who does metal and old school hip hop like LIV .
Bill burr is hard, he destroyed the crowd and philly. Bill burr is one favorites now he just gained a fan. Great reaction im loving your channel keep it up.
Your preface was spot on. Reaction videos give many people a sense of connection and community through sharing similar feelings about a subject. We relive the emotions, experience empathy, and in small ways hope for a better world when we see people who we are told are different from us feeling similarly about a subject. If you make money from it all the better.
His emphatic "I said suck a dick" around the 10:37 mark was his most heartfelt moment of truth on that stage....best line hands down..He MEANT that shit 100%
This video is why I discovered Burr. Downloaded this in audio form on Napster years back. Never knew what his name was. Then found out his name from the Chappelle Show. His voice sounded the same. Been in love with him since.
U know what, I've always liked your channel since it's been suggested to me but that intro explanation to the young viewers just earned u a new sub. You're Classic my brotha, pure class. #Salute
I subbed to this genius two years ago, I'm from England, their isn't a performer like him anywhere, the man covers every base, his awareness of the human condition , just makes me smile and shake my head. His anger is honest and that can lead to real clarity in a man, he's not afraid to look inwardly and tell you about his shit and deep down, everybody would like to carry themselves in this way, he holds up the mirror, its up to us to see it, he's also got balls the size of a small village, peace!
Watching a reaction channel is like watching the clip together with someone. Over 95% of the reaction clips I view are clips that I have seen before - alone. Comedy is better with company. Thanks for cheering me up!
without a doubt the best reaction channel I've ever come across, and i watch a lot. He's sensible, funny, great sense of humor, and he doesn't pause the video he's reacting to like 900 times. The best.
watched almost all of your bill burr reactions and you have my subscription.....always great to see others appreciate great comedy like myself...I almost feel like I'm watching these bits for the first time again...keep it up brotha
He is from boston. He starts with talking shit about the eagles. He is a big sports fan and our cities have a history. It was hilarious! Im from philly and was there.
You need to look Into this but Bill Burr and Patrice Oneil got into a fight and didn't talk to each other for a year. Patrice was there for this concert and they talked ever since. Patrice was a beast RIP.
On point with that reaction video response. To be honest, that works for top 10 lists or anything like that; people are just looking for validation. The analogy I've always given was similar to yours. Have you ever made a joke or reference to a movie, just to find out a buddy of yours had never seen said movie? Then you finally get them to sit down and watch it, however, you don't watch at all. You constantly stare over or look out of the corner of your eyes to see their reactions. Again, all of this reaction stuff online is for validation, because it's a simple way for people to feel good. Keep up the good work.
cody mazza Half the fun of watching something is seeing the reactions of the people you are watching it with. I agree with you; it is a bummer that the concept has to be explained to some people.
love and respect my friend ,I wasn't expecting you to nail it on the head . I'm 38 married ,sons 14 and I work hard . I spend lots of time with them and that's it ( not a fan of people haha ) so I enjoy reaction videos cuz it's nice sharing things you enjoy with other people .
As far as your reactions, to me, it's like having company over and we're watching together. I enjoy the company, because I'm a 59 1/2 year old disabled guy who lives alone. Well, almost alone, I have two dogs. One is a 5 1/2 yr old Boxer/ Lab mix and the other is a 9 month(?) old that I don't know the breed of. He seems to have hair, not fur, because he doesn't shed and it's a lot softer in texture. But I digress. I have enjoyed watching your reactions so far and plan on going to your channel and checking out some of your videos. Keep them coming. Thank You.
We are one - You described the appeal of reaction videos perfectly! But it's funny that when I watch a reaction video where the person talks over the video, usually meaning that they miss some of the punch lines, I feel this primal rage swell up and I find myself actually screaming at the screen, "Shut the F*ck Up, you're missing the best parts!!!" :) It drives me nuts! I really enjoy your reactions!
Me too. I also have to pause funny reaction videos sometimes because I am rolling on the floor laughing. Especially if the reactor has an infectious laugh. Only Bill Burr could talk about hitting a baby and make it hilarious. Only Bill Burr could come up with 15 minutes of insults right off the top of his head. I love it!
Bill Burr is a mad savage! I've always loved this performance. He completely eviscerated that crowd and they *FUCKING APPLAUDED HIM* for it when he was done! *That* is what happens when you are beyond the point of fuck it, and have the talent to back it up.
Good point! They have a statue of Rocky who never fought a real fight in his life! If I was black I would be pissed off too. That was hilarious. Go Bill Burr LOL
I love your reaction videos. The whole point of creating your content is to enjoy what you're doing. I don't like every reaction channel. But you're one of the ones I love. Please keep up the good work.
Actually, fun fact... this show almost made Bill quit comedy, he talks about it on a podcast... saying he was ready to just give up and go home and I think it was Patrice O'neil who convinced him to go on stage and just not give a shit.
Frame. It kind of is, he was pissed because after this every crowd started booing him thinking he would do to them what he did in philly and was worried he became a comedian that was just going to,get booed. Patrice told him to not worry about it and how to handle his next crowd. Now bill is where he is today. He talks about it in his podcast.
Thats not true cuz bill and patrice were not talking at the time cuz of an argument they had on opie&anthony podcast and after the incedent they come back friends again... bill said that once
I just found your channel and I know that this particular video is about a year old but I totally agree with your comment about why people enjoy reaction videos. I started watching your reaction to oversimplified in the same sound that seems to tickle you, that “oh no” I think it’s the funniest thing and it tickles me that you think it’s just as hysterically funny and weird and hysterical as I do with king Louis “oh no”
What I like about reaction videos is that it somehow validates my happiness, distaste, and opinion on some matters. I'm from Asia and I'm always curious as to how the West would react to for example Anime or WW2 etc. It kinda feels good when you know you're not the only one suprised regarding this or that or when you got emotional regarding this or that. I watch your reactions and some metal bands reacting to raps and vice versa it's kind of funny to realize that we're human and all, that realization just doesn't come that much.
you get a like right away for the "talk with the children" segment at the beginning. this is almost word for word how i explain reaction channels to people who wonder why they're so popular.
Bill Burr is savage, wicked smart. One of my favorite lines is “Love is when you look at the person across the table and you want to choke them, but you don’t.”
I didn't read through all the comments that may have already been brought up. IMO, you are correct that people want to validate that something was funny, entertaining, or good in comparison to people different from them. This is especially true if something may be deemed controversial. The second thing, especially for myself, is seeing the joy or laughter at the first time that I saw this comedy show, or heard this song, etc. It's so much fun to watch someone listen to an album that I bought in 1993. When I see someone getting blown away by songs that I was blown away by 25 years ago, it brings the moment I first heard in my college days all back. And many times, newcomers bring valid critiques that I had never considered.
This was at the Opie & Anthony Traveling Virus. I was there and it was fucking epic. The wait between comics was so bad and all the crowd did was get drunk. So when he came out, we were....uhm.... unstable. Lol
Every year on the O&A Virus Tour’s date in Philly, the crowd would choose a comic that wasn’t one of the Comedy Cellar/O&A regulars to terrorize. That year it was Dom Irrera; they did it to Mike Birbiglia another year.
Well said, Devon.... Perfectly stated as far as the “reaction video” paradigm. I realize this video is a little dated and there are WAY more “reactors” videos now, however, you’re the 1st Ive seen to articulate the significance of these videos. Thanks for what you do, my friend. Cheers.
The thing you said about reaction channels are so true. I juat really enjoy seeing other peoples reactions to things i like. But of course those reactors who just sits there and don't say anything are just stupid and those reaction channels shouldnt exist but i'm talking about those reaction channels that actually gives their opinions on stuff and says something like you. I really enjoyed this reaction and definitely subscribed.
I agree with what you said in the beginning about reaction videos. I like seeing people experience a song, or something, that I've known about and enjoyed for a while. Sometimes they have a different interpretation of a song, and all of a sudden, it makes complete sense.
Glad i stumbled on your channel. You're super genuine which makes you stand out in a category that might be oversaturated. Keep doing you and being real, best of luck.
I have seen a lot of reactions to this vid but this has to be my favorite.. You had me laughing at the way you were laughing... Great vid... Bill Burr rules!
He said his only regret was he forgot the '76ers. Great reaction. He went to Bob Sagat and he was thinking he was so screwed. Bob said basically that he just became a legend
I started watching reaction channels one day after introducing my 13yo nephew to Metallica. He was so blown away that it gave me a charge. I realized that it’s fun to see people react to something for the first time. It’s particularly fun to see them appreciating something that you’ve loved for years. There’s nothing wrong with it.
nice speech early on devon. I watch reactions for that reason. I searched for your content. You didnt lie to bring me here or something. I like your positive attitude.
Reaction channels are great. I love watching the reactions to the Minneapolis Miracle . . . Not to mention, Bill Burr has an audio reaction to it from his podcast. Great stuff. 😎
A single man roasted an entire audience so hard they liked him for it.
I love it lmao
"when was the last time you killed so hard the next guy bombed" more like "when was the last time the 20 comics before you bombed and you still killed"
Are you Entertained??? Are you not entertained????? Cue Gladiator theme
Young black people reacting to Bill Burr seems to have become its own UA-cam category, at least according to what the algo chooses for me.
I know right ?
And Queen...and I'm enjoying all of it.
Exactly! It's a little bit weird that Burr and Queen is on every black youtubers react list. But hey, not complaining. Very enjoyable. 😊
Just maybe wish there was more Stanhope, Carlin and Hicks. 😜 and some Bowie.
It's like having that black friend we all wanted when we were younger.
He's bringing people together.
That man killed my city lol
R.I.P. Philly.
But our Eagles did win tho. We beat his team too
Ayethere M8 Nah, truthfully it makes us even
Philly had it coming.
He was not the comic Philadelphia needed, he was the comic that they deserved.
fuckin right
Daenerys burns down an entire city
Bill Burr: "Hold my beer."
Bill Burr is so amazing that he was able to run down Philly to a point that he brought them back around.
Legend.
Only Bill Burr can destroy an entire city in one rant and still have them cheering in the end! Brilliant
George Carlin is smiling from nowhere on him.
No, no, no. Nah, somewhere he's screamin' up at him lol.
@Azathoth somewhere screaming up is a bit if his
Why do u say that? Dose George Carlin has similar video or what?
hrishikesh dhomane George Carlin would approve..
Im sure hes smiling up at us
Bill Hader was talking the other day about how most huge stars have that one moment where you see them become that star. This is Bills moment I think.
Omf I've never seen this before this is hilarious. He is so quick. This is why he is the best.
This is the moment Bill Burr went from funny edgy comedian to iron forged legend Bill Burr
The Bill Burr Philly Incident will definitely go down in history. Thank you for reviewing it.
Duuuuude what you said in the beginning was so spot on.
Clay Hopkins
I agree, such a true statement. I like seeing other people enjoy what I already do for the first time.
Except when he said he was the original Renaissance Man. Both factually incorrect and a ridiculous statement.
that's why i watch reactions of people watching shit i already watched before. like Lost in Vegas,Tyrone Magnus. and i also get the feeling of Unity i follow this guys called Normies and after i watch an episode of a show i watch their reaction and i feel like i'm watching with them ....yeah its wierd but i feel like i know them
Yeah, it's like you can bug your friends forever to watch a thing you already watched with you, and they just get annoyed by it, until they never want to watch it at all.
It’s a symptom of modern society. We live online now. Look at all those people in South Korea who watch videos of people eating.
I love how he counts down his time....BILL BURR IS KING!!!!
I read this as bill burger king
I was at this show. It was amazing to watch Burr do this. This was part of the opie and anthony's traveling virus comedy tour. The first comic was booed off the stage in front of his family.
Who was the comic?
I like reaction videos because it makes me feel like i have friends
We are here for you :)
No shit.._..Well put
Please excuse me for laughing even if that was meant to be serious.
I'm a nerd
....
So am i
deadass when im in a shit place, it might sound sad but, its nice to feel like theres someone in the room watching the shit with you

JAYE94611 when he said you're watching history rn people. he wasn't kidding
Bill Burr Helicopter story!!
Please!!!
THIS
The animated version!
spackle9999 the animated one is good, however the live version is so much better. Half of the comedy is in his expressions

The best part is him talking about the Rocky statue lol 😂
oh my god he was awesome
His emphatic "I said suck a dick" around the 10:37 mark was his most heartfelt moment of truth on that stage....best line hands down..He MEANT that shit 100%

Historic table flip on hecklers. Love it 🤘

I used to only watch movie and game trailers on UA-cam, but I fell in love with reaction videos. I'm still waiting on that FF7 by the way.
1 minute leffft in the perrriiiiod
And I will be selling my CD after the show
Watching a reaction channel is like watching the clip together with someone. Over 95% of the reaction clips I view are clips that I have seen before - alone. Comedy is better with company. Thanks for cheering me up!
A friend of mine was at this and said although people were booing, everyone loved it. Go Philly!
That's exactly why I love reaction videos, I love being brought together when you mutually enjoy something fun
most underrated comedian ever 😂😂😂😂

You eloquently described my reasons for viewing reaction channels like no one before! You are a gentleman and a scholar sir!
He is from boston. He starts with talking shit about the eagles. He is a big sports fan and our cities have a history. It was hilarious! Im from philly and was there.
Devon......transforming reaction into art. Somebody had to do it, glad it was you, thanks.
It was recorded in the Summer of 2007. It was an Opie and Anthony event.
jcannion 2006, actually.
You need to look Into this but Bill Burr and Patrice Oneil got into a fight and didn't talk to each other for a year. Patrice was there for this concert and they talked ever since. Patrice was a beast RIP.
Best friends always have it out with problems but will still get back chillin once smoke clears... Women can't do this tho
On point with that reaction video response. To be honest, that works for top 10 lists or anything like that; people are just looking for validation. The analogy I've always given was similar to yours. Have you ever made a joke or reference to a movie, just to find out a buddy of yours had never seen said movie? Bill Burr is a complete Savage. Great video. Seen it many times and it still makes me crack up.
Hahaha!! Hilarious! Bill Burr is THE best! Love what he did! Amazing! Sure heard a lot of applause at the end! Respect him for this.
its a bummer you had to explain why reaction videos on youtube are popular..but in spite of that you explained every point too near perfection.
cody mazza react all they want, people can chose to watch it or not watch it.
cody mazza people are stupid
Rene Roux Yep.
cody mazza Half the fun of watching something is seeing the reactions of the people you are watching it with. I agree with you; it is a bummer that the concept has to be explained to some people.
Yup yup
love and respect my friend ,I wasn't expecting you to nail it on the head . I'm 38 married ,sons 14 and I work hard . I spend lots of time with them and that's it ( not a fan of people haha ) so I enjoy reaction videos cuz it's nice sharing things you enjoy with other people .
Absolutely agree Devon....history was made that night.
Thank You.

I really enjoy your reactions!
i like the ones that stop the video to laugh or comment
I love it!
OMG! My guts hurt from laughing!!🤣 I'm originally from Pa. and I would have paid to go hear this! He never runs out of gas... damn that was savage!😆😆👍
Bill Burr is a mad savage! I've always loved this performance. He completely eviscerated that crowd and they *FUCKING APPLAUDED HIM* for it when he was done! *That* is what happens when you are beyond the point of fuck it, and have the talent to back it up.

Truth! When you like something you want to share the experience with someone and share the enjoyment they get too.
I love your reaction videos. The whole point of creating your content is to enjoy what you're doing. I don't like every reaction channel. But you're one of the ones I love. Please keep up the good work.
I think ur channel is one of the very few worthy ones. Im watching ur channel from the Philippines. Dude, keep it up!
Actually, fun fact... this show almost made Bill quit comedy, he talks about it on a podcast... saying he was ready to just give up and go home and I think it was Patrice O'neil who convinced him to go on stage and just not give a shit.
CinemASMR which episode??
Holy fuck that’s so not the truth
Pretty sure I heard him say it on Opie and Anthony. I could be remembering wrong but that's what I recall.
Frame. It kind of is, he was pissed because after this every crowd started booing him thinking he would do to them what he did in philly and was worried he became a comedian that was just going to,get booed. I just found your channel and I know that this particular video is about a year old but I totally agree with your comment about why people enjoy reaction videos. I started watching your reaction to oversimplified in the same sound that seems to tickle you, that “oh no” I think it’s the funniest thing and it tickles me that you think it’s just as hysterically funny and weird and hysterical as I do with king Louis “oh no”
Sam Kinison and his " dual shotgun" dialogue......
You are legit for dropping that one. I am now a subscriber.

Devon DaVinci thought you'd like it lmao

I have seen a lot of reactions to this vid but this has to be my favorite.. You had me laughing at the way you were laughing... Great vid... Bill Burr rules!
You should react to Ricky Gervais Golden globe compilation.
It takes massive balls to do what he did. I would love to see how he got out of there afterwards. Bill Burr is the man
He said his only regret was he forgot the '76ers. Great reaction. He went to Bob Sagat and he was thinking he was so screwed. Bob said basically that he just became a legend
I'm a Burr fan and this is the first time listening to this, this is fucking SAVAGE!
An absolute CLASSIC !!! LOVE IT!
Unreal that dude is as real as they come
Perfect observational, social commentary. Love you guys. Cheers. Hilarious.....
Wow! First reaction video intro actually worth listening to. Kudos!!
nice speech early on devon.
I watch reactions for that reason. I searched for your content. You didnt lie to bring me here or something.
I like your positive attitude.
That defense of reaction channels at the start is so fucking true and so well articulated.
Billy Burr is my HERO too. Love that nigga.
Damn straight my man. Keep speaking the truth.
First comedian to ever heckle the audience
You are fine...forget haters...💪💪💪💪
Great reaction. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Love the standing ovation he gets at the end
Ay man, I enjoyed your reaction and thank you for your explanation of what a reaction video is.
Reaction channels are great. I love watching the reactions to the Minneapolis Miracle . . . Not to mention, Bill Burr has an audio reaction to it from his podcast. Great stuff. 😎
