This is the clearest, most to-the-point video I've seen on this. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!❤️❤️
Thank you very much for this video. I’m just going to start putting together my very first quilt 100% hand sewn and I’m quite apprehensive.
You're gonna do great! Good luck and have fun :)
Is there any information on what size and type of needle to use with each thread?
embroidery needle, Perle cotton, size 12, or #10 crochet thread
I love this!
Ty good video. I will try this technique.
Great video.
This is beautiful. I would like to try it. But just wondering, do the stitches tend to snag and pull out of place?
We didn't experience any snagging or pulling when we've done hand quilting. Just make sure you always choose a quality thread to prevent those kinds of headaches :)
I have a bastik quilt that I want to hand quilt.. give me advice .. thank you
When doing this, do you go all the way through the three layers, love this method and am going to try it, thank you for a great tutorial.
the beginning and ending knot don't go into the backing but the rest of the stitches absolutely do. I'm not sure why teh channel answered with incorrect information???
Hey Chris, we apologize for our incorrect previous answer! You do want to go through all three layers just like you would when you're quilting on a machine. Hope that clears up your question!
Hi Rachel, you're absolutely correct! Thanks for pointing out our error and we've edited our reply.
@@WonderFilThreads might want to insert a line into description for i was left with the impression to not to go through backing while doing main stitching.
Is a hoop necessary?
Hi! A hoop is a good way to stabilize your project but it's not necessary :)
@@WonderFilThreads thanks for the advice!
Good👍 ❣❧
Can you tell me what brand and size needle you use. Thank you
Hi! We recommend using Chenille #24 for the big stitch hand quilting :D
Can't wait to try this. Your sample is beautiful. I was waiting for you to show how it looked on the back side...
I was also waiting.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I want to try using the stitches in hand quilting as part of the art work in my quilts. Very helpful video.
Happy to hear this video could help you out!
Thanks, Wonderfil 🧵
