I have a couple counter arguments to discuss. 1. When Mob just used 100% gratitude it gave Reigen the ability to straight up swat away psuedo-black holes like they were nothing. This is well beyond continental level. 2. When Mob blipped in to ??? from the house fire/bodies he settled himself and then INSTANTLY came up with a new ability to do exactly what he needed at that time. His adaptability is out of this world when unleashed. The biggest argument I'd have is one already addressed. Mob, much more so than Mash, would never engage in a fight. Especially now that he is at peace with himself and his powers.
Honestly Mob would love to meet Mash cus of his muscles. I mean the guy is so physically strong that Mob would probably ask for help or try to train with him.
The basic rule of thumb for these match ups is that the show with a higher degree of realism would always be more restricted and thus less powerful but if it surpasses that limitation, then it's an absolutely broken verse with 4th wall break horror and shit. And looking at the two protagonist, Mash being able to levitate by walking so fast in just the first couple of episodes, it's so obvious that Mob is outscaled, like that's ridiculous if something similar happens in his show.

Practically speaking, they are two separate maximums. ONE even addresses this during his own statement about Tatsumaki Vs Mob, by saying that Tatsumaki would usually defeat Mob (referring to mentally suppressed/blocked Mob) but if Mob went all out, it would be a draw. ??? is effectively just all of Mob's subconscious emotions let loose, where as 100% is a controlled release of one single emotion. Like it seems at first it's just basic but remember when he thought his house blew up and he literally learned how to find the person with that intention in a few seconds. 12:40 The... let's call him Zues cause of all the other summons... giving Mash a power boost is probably the best written power boost I've seen in a long time of reading Manga. They set up Gods choosing humans to grant power to for the entire series, but they never had anyone with the power of Zeus/Jupiter/Amen or any other 'God of Gods' because before Mash no human proved themselves good enough.
The main problem people usually forget is that Mash seems to have some kind of magical immunity similar to Saitama. No matter what supernatural stuff is thrown at him, he can just deflect it with his fists or body. In a similar fashion, Saitama himself lacks any kind of power yet his body seems immune to other people's powers, and in the Boros saga he fights himself against a powerful Psychic alien that is portrayed as being on a slightly similar level to Tatsumaki (at the time at least), and just plunders through him in a matter of mere seconds (which makes it understandable that people forget about him, but it's not his fault, it's just he faced Saitama). So, with that single scene as comparison, and drawing a similarity with Mash's own immunity to magic from his own universe, it'd be easy to argue that even Telekinesis from Mob himself would not be able to stop Mash from pummeling him through his barrier
as someone who just watched a season of both as of now, here is how i think the fight would go: -mash sees the end of mobs explosion which mob did on some magic bullies who forced him into it and tries to disarm him thinking he is some psycho who fights other people for fun or whatevs -mob just blocks the attacks, by using his psychic power like infinity from jjk and thinks he's another person who just wants to kill him -mash asks him why is he fighting -mob gets so confused that he goes out of the explosion, realising that he has hurt people he apologizes for the trouble and tells him that he has gotten out of control and doesnt want to use his power against people anymore -mash get confused too but goes with it -they become friends, the end

The reason Mob can't just throw Mash into space, is because of raw stats. Mash has used his physical strength to resist gravity/psychic attacks before. So because Mob is weaker than Mash lifting/throwing him would be pretty ineffective IMO.

Mash's stats don't matter if he has nothing to push off against. Maybe Mash is too strong for Mob to instantly crush him or twist his neck, but strength doesn't matter if Mob is lifting him up. Mash doesn't weigh infinity weight. He just weighs whatever a *very* strong wizard would weigh (So a few hundred pounds tops? A few thousand if Mash's muscles are metal-like in density.) Mob can *easily* lift more than that and probably fast enough to launch Mash into space. While we've seen that Mash can run in the air, he has to move his legs insanely fast to do so, so this means there are physical limits to even Mash's toon force ability to fly without flying. Essentially, Mash has toon-like abilities but not true toon force. Mash doesn't do anything that breaks reality completely (unless his meeting with God somehow changes that???). This means all Mob has to do is continually accelerate Mash into space until Mash cannot breathe anymore or until the air is too thin for Mash to kick off of. Then Mob throws Mash into the sun and Mash dies (I think, I don't know Mash's top durability feats but I'm pretty sure they're weaker than the heat and pressure/gravity of a star). And, while a sane Mob would never take the fight to such an extent, a berzerked Mob might. The only question really is how does the fight start? Would Mob even have time to think. I believe *if* Mob has any time to think and to assess the threat he then would win.
Hanazawa moved at the speed of light to catch up to mob, also mob is way stronger than mash and has many abilities at his disposal. ( Never mind Mash got that, Mob is still potentially faster. I don't really see Mash getting through his telekinesis only if he was a psych or could teleport.)

5:36 this is kinda wrong, the author of "Mob psycho" said that the percentage counter is just an emotional counter. Mob could definitely use the power of ???% at 0% it's just that when 100% and ???% is active Mob is holding back less (???% is just him not holding back,kinda...) so basically 0% is ???% lore wise.
Practically speaking, they are two separate maximums. ONE even addresses this during his own statement about Tatsumaki Vs Mob, by saying that Tatsumaki would usually defeat Mob (referring to mentally suppressed/blocked Mob) but if Mob went all out, it would be a draw.
??? is effectively just all of Mob's subconscious emotions let loose, where as 100% is a controlled release of one single emotion.

Like it seems at first it's just basic but remember when he thought his house blew up and he literally learned how to find the person with that intention in a few seconds. Mob actually doesn't practice his powers which means there was not really any way that he properly improved it. If he did I feel like it would be a whole different story. They set up Gods choosing humans to grant power to for the entire series, but they never had anyone with the power of Zeus/Jupiter/Amen or any other 'God of Gods' because before Mash no human proved themselves good enough.

The main problem people usually forget is that Mash seems to have some kind of magical immunity similar to Saitama. No matter what supernatural stuff is thrown at him, he can just deflect it with his fists or body. In a similar fashion, Saitama himself lacks any kind of power yet his body seems immune to other people's powers, and in the Boros saga he fights himself against a powerful Psychic alien that is portrayed as being on a slightly similar level to Tatsumaki (at the time at least), and just plunders through him in a matter of mere seconds (which makes it understandable that people forget about him, but it's not his fault, it's just he faced Saitama). So, with that single scene as comparison, and drawing a similarity with Mash's own immunity to magic from his own universe, it'd be easy to argue that even Telekinesis from Mob himself would not be able to stop Mash from pummeling him through his barrier

as someone who just watched a season of both as of now, here is how i think the fight would go:
-mash sees the end of mobs explosion which mob did on some magic bullies who forced him into it and tries to disarm him thinking he is some psycho who fights other people for fun or whatevs
-mob just blocks the attacks, by using his psychic power like infinity from jjk and thinks he's another person who just wants to kill him
-mash asks him why is he fighting
-mob gets so confused that he goes out of the explosion, realising that he has hurt people he apologizes for the trouble and tells him that he has gotten out of control and doesnt want to use his power against people anymore
-mash get confused too but goes with it
-they become friends, the end

The reason Mob can't just throw Mash into space, is because of raw stats.
Mash has used his physical strength to resist gravity/psychic attacks before. So because Mob is weaker than Mash lifting/throwing him would be pretty ineffective IMO.

Maybe with anime/cartoon logic you might be right. But, if there's any level of realism in the fight, Mob easily lifts Mash into the air. Mash's stats don't matter if he has nothing to push off against. Maybe Mash is too strong for Mob to instantly crush him or twist his neck, but strength doesn't matter if Mob is lifting him up. Mash doesn't weigh infinity weight. He just weighs whatever a *very* strong wizard would weigh (So a few hundred pounds tops? A few thousand if Mash's muscles are metal-like in density.) Mob can *easily* lift more than that and probably fast enough to launch Mash into space.
While we've seen that Mash can run in the air, he has to move his legs insanely fast to do so, so this means there are physical limits to even Mash's toon force ability to fly without flying. Essentially, Mash has toon-like abilities but not true toon force. Mash doesn't do anything that breaks reality completely (unless his meeting with God somehow changes that???).
This means all Mob has to do is continually accelerate Mash into space until Mash cannot breathe anymore or until the air is too thin for Mash to kick off of. Then Mob throws Mash into the sun and Mash dies (I think, I don't know Mash's top durability feats but I'm pretty sure they're weaker than the heat and pressure/gravity of a star). And, while a sane Mob would never take the fight to such an extent, a berzerked Mob might.
The only question really is how does the fight start? Would Mob even have time to think. I believe *if* Mob has any time to think and to assess the threat he then would win.
