My mother car just showed P0307 code on her 2008 Lincoln Town Car. Hopefully my brother I can replace the coil pack and spark plug and get mom on the road again. Your videos are great, easy to follow and understand. Thanks!!!!
This vid was so great dude. I even have the same car. I was throwing a P0308 after the car only sat for a month. I'm getting a set of coilpacks tomorrow. Thanks!
Love your video, thank you for taking the time to put this together! One kind suggestion.... That intro was SO OBNOXIOUS and loud that my subwoofer blew all sorts of pictures off the wall and knocked down a knick - knack shelf full of ceramic songbirds. Perhaps you could ease back that intro just a tad to a level more like the video itself. Again, thank you for the video, saved me some $$!

Question, what year is this town car… I’m literally struggling try to figure out my issue.. my town car is shifting rough, I had a misfire on #4 had oil in it.. changed the valve cover gasket, and spark plug, they a misfire on 6 showed up, but the coil pack was lose.. now number 8, but my check engine light isn’t on anymore and the code reader isn’t reading an error, but my car is still idling rough and shift rough… I did change out the throttle body today
Mine is a 04, yea when the coil packs start going out you kinda Chace them for a while unless you just replace them all when the first one goes out. If you don't have a engine light then your miss could be a injector or possibly a bad fuel filter causing low fuel presure or even bad gas if it has been sitting for a while, I would buy some B12 injector cleaner at wallmart and maybe some dry gas treatment in case you got some water in the gas.
i have always used the battery red and black post covers from when a battery comes new you always have them just to be double sure no chance of a cross connection
I have never worried about the brand, I figure they are all made overseas somewhere and rebranded anyway, I get the best price I see on Amazon and I normally buy a whole set for around or under 30.00. I have never had a issue with any coil pack that I replaced. DTG
Same thing happens to me when I connected the positive. The alarm and radio turns on the key fob on my left hand also when alarm goes off. How many miles on that number 6 Coil ignition?
@@DoubleTroubleGarage I'm at 225,901 miles on my 2008 town car, cross my fingers. The coil packs are not cheap especially for the OEM part. Thanks for showing this.
My 2006 Town car started missing on #5 cylinder, and when I went to remove the coil, there was Oil gathered down in the Spark Plug Well. Is that a Big Problem? I changed the bad coil, and that cylinder is doing fine, but later, that same day, #4 and #8 started missing! Is My Car "Dying"?
I apologize for not seeing your message sooner sooner your car is not dying, The coil packs will go one at a timeThe right thing to do would be would be to replace them all at once and get it over with But I just change them when they go bad.
I had that problem with my 2000 Towncar I changed all spark plugs and coil packs and the car still running with 258 thousand miles I sold it to my daddy
@@vacairripatterson1504 I don't understand, there is only a small bolt and a rubber boot. I can possibly understand the bolt stuck, maybe, or the boot stuck but not the coil pack itself,,, weird!

It has been my experience that when one goes you have about 3 more coming, so I always keep some on hand.

If it was original it had about 215k.

Your valve cover gasket is leaking and needs to be replaced, pretty simple job.

The oil leak will either be the intake or valve cover gasket leaking a little bit either keep an eye on your oil or replace the gasket
