You remind me of a few years ago when my former company was an agent for Italian tanning machines, which were sold to tanneries there. The following year we were invited to attend the Wenzh_u Leather Fair, and the Italians brought all the information about the machines to exhibition displays, including exquisite color cataloges! However, the number of visitors was enthusiastic, but not many people came to buy in the next months. The next year we went to the Guangzh_u Leather Fair, and unexpectedly found that there were exactly the same machines for sale at the venue. Some customers even came to us with their catalogs and told us that their quotations were less than two-thirds of ours .......
We went to visit out of curiosity and found that one of their employees was actually a customer who asked us for information and inquiries in Wenzh_u last year. What’s wonderful is that two of their catalogs are directly copied from Italian catalogs, and the Chine_e were translated by me myself! Later, an employee of a local tannery told us that after our machines were sold locally, the counterfeiters began to bribe some of the tannery's technicians, and let them enter multiple factories at night to actually photograph and copy the complete machines, including all parts! The following year, because Italian sales there were not as expected, the inventors of those machines, the engineer were dissatisfied with being copied and angrily left the company. In the same year, the Italian company announced its closure! And my department was cancelled!

The Marriot randomly had a breakfast buffet with the best "American Diner" food I ever had (better than the states), except that all the food was served with bougie presentation and garnish. And you could see the chefs cooking everything in center of the room, Hell's kitchen style!
The only thing that is of value at McDonald's is the "Big Mac Index" (BMI) ! Since McDonald's is pretty much everywhere around the world the price of a Big Mac throughout different countries gives you more accurate picture of the purchasing power of the local currency which GDP does not provide. Here in North America a single Big Mac sandwich is approaching $10.00 or ¥60.00. How much was the Big Mac there now ? PS: Okay a Big Mac sandwich was ¥25.00 there which is almost 75% less expensive which shows the Yuan is more than double the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) as the US or Canadian dollar !
The Big Mac index may not be applicable everywhere, China included. In China, the Big Mac is not even among the top choices at MickeyD's. The lower demand certainly compelled them to adjust their pricing strategies. People tend to prefer chicken sandwiches over the Big Mac because they find them incredibly delicious (and also because KFC entered China first and sort of shaped Chinese people's fast food choices; Chinese people generally don't eat as much beef as they do other meats ect.). Specifically, the McSpicy and grilled chicken sandwiches, exclusively available in Asian countries, are just wayy better than their beef counterparts at MickeyD's.

China’s EV car industries are far ahead the whole world, most Tesla’s suppliers are Chinese companies, and even the best Tesla manufacturer factory is located in Shanghai.
