Rob's mad about skin products look soo good with a lot of great ingredients and not strong but enough for results with everyday use I can't wait to try them.
I use Naturium’s Azelaic Acid Emulsion 10% and would definitely recommend. Once applied, it may tingle until your skin adjusts to it but it’s bearable.
I’ve come out of my depression rut to comment a few things: Azelaic Acid has been a game changer for me as well. (I’m also semi-convinced that I’m rosacea prone but don’t quite have it, if that makes sense). I’m hate-finishing the Cos de Baha one currently. It’s a little too “oily” feeling for me. I love the Azclear one and have gone through several tubes. Ditto for the Peach Slices. I also LOVE your hair this colour! Like wow.

I currently use the Paula’s Choice 10% but I just ordered the THERAMID AZID 15% Azelaic Acid Treatment from Niche Beauty Lab a couple of days ago. I think the 26% off sale is still going on.
I use cos de baha. It helped get rid of a large sun spot I had had for a few years! As an oily, I dont like creams, so cos de baha is great for me personally! I judt prefer thin fluid layers. I started off with Paulas Choice boost but that was a no for me and unaffordable long term!
I really enjoyed the Revox B77 Azelaic Acid 10%... is kind of a "The Ordinary wannabe" but I find it much more elegant than the Ordinary's suspension, less "silicony", more creamy, no pilling, natural finish...
Sarah. I forgot to thank you for recommending the horse chestnut cleanser. I'm taking a break from double cleansing and it works great 😃! Wish I'd bought more than 2.

If you like Azclear, you'll LOVE Finacea 15% gel (feels more like a lotion). We have it OTC here in Australia. Much easier to work with and some Redditors swear it's more effective (despite being a lower %).
I can second this recommendation! I just switched from azelex 20% to Finacea 15% and I like it better! 20% is a little too intense sometimes, though it does power through my rosacea breakouts. But 15% is nearly as effective and easier to use, I don't get any irritation at all with it, when I just had the 20% I'd get an unpleasant prickly feeling.
@@gwendolinehall1386 percentage isn't everything. Dr. Sherene Idriss made a video about azelaic acid where she talks about this. A gel has an easier time penetrating the skin, so the difference in percentage is less relevant.
@@Justin_Osugi my azelex 20% and the new 15% Finacea one, which might be generic because now that I look at the bottle, it doesn't say any name at all, but I was told I was being prescribed that, anyways they're basically identical lotion/cream textures out of the tube. But that 20% whooped my butt some days with the prickly sensation. I put the 20% on my husband the one day and he said it was super uncomfortable. I think percentages don't matter as much in the drug store over the counter formulations but 20% was definitely a lot for me and I'm not sensitive to actives like that generally. I think it's the highest percentage available. But I'm sure around that 10% strength in the over the counter levels, what Dr Idriss said is likely very true.
Azclear is amazing! I've purchased it like 5 times already in the last 2 years. I wish I could order more than just 1 at a time though but that's ok. Will try the website you linked! I have super duper sensitive reactive skin and it works amazingly for my needs (tiny bumps on cheeks from rosacea) and if I ever have a breakout it just zaps it away. Pretty amazing stuff.
I wasn't sure if I have rosacea but an aesthetician asked me the other day if I've always had rosacea 😂 So I'm guessing I do! I'm going to try The Ordinary or The Inkey List as they're easiest to buy in the UK.

If your aim is to calm rosacea and redness, the Peach Slices is excellent. The other ingredients in the formulation are also meant to calm and target redness. You still will get the lightning effects of the Azelaic Acid, but you will notice a difference in your redness quite quickly.
I didn’t have any luck with over the counter azelaic acids, they just peel to much so I switched to the prescription 15% gel not the cream and no peeling. It works amazing for my rosacea. Keeps my flare ups at bay.
Another incredibly useful video! I've been considering this ingredient for quite a while, hoping it could help the appearance of my sensitive, redness-prone skin. Thank you for this information! Saving this one for reference, as well (I've saved several).

Nothing wrong with starting out slowly and working your way up to nightly (or every other night). If you think of it do a patch test the day before just in case. The Peach Slices one is quite nice. Effective yet still gentle which is the best combo!
All those acids! How do you work them into your routine. I haven’t figured it out yet because so many of the acids can’t be used together. Plus, they can’t be used with vitamin C and retinol! Aaargh
Very good question! I typically rotate evenings so I switch my evenings up- one night I'll use my BHA exfoliant, one night retinol, one night azelaic acid. My morning routine is dedicated to Vitamin C only. It gets kind of complicated trying to keep it all straight in my head😂
None of that is true. You can have all the acids you want + vit c + retinol in the same routine if your skin tolerates it. That's a big if ofcourse. These are all ingredients that can cause irritation so the likelihood of irritation increases if used together. But if you happen to tolerate all of them well there's no reason you couldn't use all of them together. I combine BHA + Azelaic Acid + retinaldehyde in my evening routine daily with zero problems and I have sensitive skin. I even went through my routine with my dermatologist recently as I had a bit of an atopic dermatitis flare up. She confirmed that my acids + retinaldehyde combo is fine, doesn't affect my AD or the treatment of it and is infact a nice and gentle way of treating adult acne. Try and find ingredients that are best suited for you and don't cause irritation for you specifically and you don't have to worry about what goes with what.

I am under the impression that Naturium isn’t a brand she wants to support due to the controversy when the brand was revealed as Susan Yara’s own brand. I could be wrong.
I've not heard that before, but I would definitely recommend seeing a dermatologist for a consultation- perhaps there is something different you could use?
It really depends on who you ask. If it is an azelaic acid around 10% and your skin is acclimated to using it there are many people that say you can use it with vitamin c. I try to use vitamin c alone in my morning routine so I am much more likely to use AA with retinoinds in my evening routine. AA shouldn't cause dryness like that. I wonder if there is a specific ingredient in it you might be sensitive to. I haven't tried that one before. Might be worth trying out the one from Geek and Gorgeous because it really is great for sensitive and dry skin types.
I use the 20% Azalaic Acid by Dermatica. You don't even need a prescription to buy it
Dermatica 20% - any good? 🤔
Lol it looked like you grew a tail I see your dog behind you awww that was cute
😂😂 Lincoln must have been feeling shy today- he just wanted to see what was going on!
I just ordered Azelaic Acid 20% in a cream base. Has anyone out there used a 20% cream and did you see results?...I've read the 15% gel is actually better But they did not have this version Thanks
Today I received my first order from Chemist Direct. Got one of each 🙂
@@maggierioux6501 I'll have to check out that website. I bought from Alldaychemist. They've been out of azelaic acid 15% gel for months. I got the 20% cream instead. Also got my retin A, and hydroquinone 4% since it's such an expensive prescription here in the u.s.
Hi! I’ve been using Naturium azaliec acid and wondered your thoughts on it? Love your channel ❤
I am under the impression that Naturium isn’t a brand she wants to support due to the controversy when the brand was revealed as Susan Yara’s own brand. I could be wrong.
@@kerry8461 thanks for letting me know. Will now be looking into other options
Why Azelaic acid makes my melasma more darker 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I've not heard that before, but I would definitely recommend seeing a dermatologist for a consultation- perhaps there is something different you could use?
can we use Azelaic acid with vitamin C or Retinoids? thanks
It really depends on who you ask. If it is an azelaic acid around 10% and your skin is acclimated to using it there are many people that say you can use it with vitamin c. I try to use vitamin c alone in my morning routine so I am much more likely to use AA with retinoinds in my evening routine. As long as I apply some good hydrating products I havent had any issues using the two in the same routine. i found this write up interesting and helpful: www.sciencebecomesher.com/azelaic-acid-and-retinol-together/
@@NOBSBeauty 😍👏thank you for your advice, I will buy AA and give it a try, I live in Europe and here the one I can find easily is G&Gorgeous
