Was great weather to get that type of work done, I have to do a bigger rust repair on my own spreader as she’s start to deteriorate rapidly. It’ll be time consuming but worth it if we can get another few years out of it. Great video 👌
Thanks, Yes weather was perfect until the change came last week. The rust wasn’t really that bad but if wasn’t addressed it would have been an issue. It’ll Keep it right for many years to come…..I hope 😁👌
good job on the spreader Gerry give auto paints on the racecourse road a shout they will make you a aerosol of any colour they are sound lads for a bit of advice . planting trees is always a good idea a friend of my dad's planted oak trees at the end of my lane in some boggy land about twenty years ago he passed away eight years ago his trees are about twenty feet tall we call it (wont say his name ) wood 👍
Yes it’s doing better but putting in drops and they burn the eyes outa my head. Leaving them very red at times and skin swollen but eyesight is well improved thankfully 😊
Good to know about you planting the trees gerry I was going to do the same but I figured by time I had land cleared and it all fenced off and trees all bought for the price you get even off 100 trees I would have nothing back for years from it
Great video gerry, nice footage of the soil moving, great bit of ploughing, 5 furrows would do you better to get across the ground quicker before the weather breaks.
Around here 6-8 inches. On hill a bit less. I low laying land a bit more. Actually in the field where our yard is. When we dug out the slatted tanks, we had 3ft of top soil in that area so it can be more in places
Grand tasty job on the fertiliser shaker 👍 When you had the excavator there did he clean up in front of the slatted shed too?🤔 Is it still a secret project. 😉
Time that's dry it may not show but until you moved round with the camera I couldn't tell the difference. You'd think with the grids inside, amazone would have lined it a with rubber stripjust to stop it rubbing.
Jerry you should definitely have 70 80k subscribers by now so tell them get there finger out and subscribe. Does the plough even make the 215 die down the revs
Yea should probably have more subs, but what do you do. I’ve been told it’s because I set up the account back in 2009 and it’s classed as an old account. I don’t know. 🤷♂️ Ahh the 215 knows it’s there, it’s a vari widt plough so I can set it as wide as a 5 furrow which is handy. But I’d like a 5 furrow some time. Have few other nights ordered/ bought so it’s down the list for now. 😁
Lot of the work was done last year. Top soil was put back on last week. I’ll do video update when done. Be getting grass seed sown in to too. So I’ll video all that
Just think that spring is just around the corner 👌
Thank god….. wish this rain and snow BBC would go away
Making some job of the field reclamation 👌
Should be good job when done 😅
Nice job on the spreader, good opportunity for the land reclamation!

A lovely job on the spreader Gerry.
Thanks lad 👌
A biss day for u gerry fair play
Tell me about it 😅
Great job 💪
Great weather for the field work Gerry...would loved to ploughing with that 🚜🚜 ....👍
Great video gerry, no better man for taking care of his machinery
Great video Gerry good to here your planting 100 trees.
Great video Gerry as always 👌
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great video Gerry how is your eye doing Gerry stay safe 👍👍👍👍🦌
Fine job on the spreader. You look after your machinery so well. Great to see
Great video as always

Yes the paint for the new extension is coming off them. Good lads
Cool job on the spreader there Gerry 👍
Good job on the field 👍
Great video love the reclamation job and watching the plough I can almost smell the soil😁
The reseeding project looks class the new John Deere is some machine. Lovely ploughing. The spreader looks new. Tidy job. 😊
You need some stainless steel steel bolts to bolt the top on your spreader gerry.
One of your more interesting videos Gerry 👌👍
You saying my other videos arnt intersting 😂👍
@@gerry6420 😂😂😂
Good vid gerry hope you are well your left eye still looks not right keep the videos coming top man
Yes it’s doing better but putting in drops and they burn the eyes outa my head. Leaving them very red at times and skin swollen but eyesight is well improved thankfully 😊
Wonderful landscape especially with John Deere in it👍
Hard to beat it 😁
Your plough looks tiny on the 215 Gerry 🤔😁 top soil on the reclaimed land looking like it's reasonable stuff👍 good job on the Amazone spreader 💪👌
69 does most the ploughing so it’s big enough. I’ve other things I need before a bigger plough. 😁👌
Fair play not a bad job on the fert spreader. A man on a galloping horse wouldn't see the differance in the colour.
Great video Gerry, you have a lot going on. Nice paint job, good to stay ahead of the rust. 👍🏼👍🏼
Good to know about you planting the trees gerry I was going to do the same but I figured by time I had land cleared and it all fenced off and trees all bought for the price you get even off 100 trees I would have nothing back for years from it
My reckoning is trees will be paid for in the first year of the scheme. Was going to fence the field anyway. So cost will be same there anyway.
Had in my head to plant some trees anyway so it was good chance to do it
@@gerry6420 Ye il plant some too myself but not 100 and I have 100s of white/blackthorn on farm already I'l just use cuts off them tbh
Great video gerry, nice footage of the soil moving, great bit of ploughing, 5 furrows would do you better to get across the ground quicker before the weather breaks.
I see u have the field in dowdilshill ploughed Gerry there was a lot of greenery in it
Yes was a lot alright. Ploughed down well though. we have it sub let out to put seed potatoes in it this year
Beautiful Drone shots! 👍 Just curious , how deep does the top soil generally run where you are farming?
Around here 6-8 inches. On hill a bit less. I low laying land a bit more. Actually in the field where our yard is. When we dug out the slatted tanks, we had 3ft of top soil in that area so it can be more in places
@@gerry6420 Alright thanks!
Top marks for that reclamation job, that's civil engineering standard. A nice D6 on wide tracks to finish it off. 👌👍
D6 would move it alright 😂 some machine
Any plans to move to min till, and reduce the ploughing.
Great vid Gerry, would you ever look at getting a 3 m sumo trio for the 215
Grand tasty job on the fertiliser shaker 👍
When you had the excavator there did he clean up in front of the slatted shed too?🤔 Is it still a secret project. 😉
I did, I’ll show the clean up job in the next video.
Time that's dry it may not show but until you moved round with the camera I couldn't tell the difference.
You'd think with the grids inside, amazone would have lined it a with rubber stripjust to stop it rubbing.
Super stuff Gerry. You seem to be up in tillage a lot recently, do you see better prospects in tillage than beef going forward??
Would a belt of a subsoiler aid with getting standing water away from parts of the tillage fields? Opens up the ground a lot deeper to drain water.
I intend subsoiling it when it dries up again. Going to get one on demo
You're flat out gerry this weather
Was until the snow and rain arrived 😁🤷♂️

What trees will you plant Gerry? Apple, pear? Something you can eat? I presume not unfortunately.
No I think it’s native trees. I’ll do video on it when it’s happening. It’ll be later in the year. Autumn
Can't you bottle that water Gerry? Or is it close enough for a bore hole?
You probably could bottle it. There’s not a house with in km of it.
Will you have more videos on the land reclamation Gerry ?
When was this video on the land reclamation done ?
Great job you're doing on it .
Lot of the work was done last year. Top soil was put back on last week. I’ll do video update when done. Be getting grass seed sown in to too. So I’ll video all that
I saw the video you done on it last year, was looking forward to see you doing more on it .
That your own digger gerry??
Yes us and a friend is 50/50 in it. It’s a super machine
Your next purchase will be a 6 furrow plow to put behind the 215 and that spreader is looking great
Yea would like a 5 furrow but won’t be any time soon. Have few other machines in the pipe line we need first. 🫣
