Happy to help
if large value better run this offline and weep in hw wallet before going back online 🙂
Great video as usual !
impatient to see your next on diy trezor
Yea it should always be run offline :)
Still got some bits and pieces arriving for the DIY Trezors and will include a few options for difference sizes, assembly complexity, etc.
hey mate .. i got error like [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'passwordlist.txt' and i did everything correct can you help ?
Sounds like you are either running the command from somewhere other than your BTCRecover folder, or you have the name of the filename incorrect. (Depending on your operating system, you may also have the time extension on there twice, so perhaps try removing the .TXT from the file name using file explorer if you are on Windows)
Hi, I have safepal wallet and lost 12 seed phrases but I have wallet address. Is there a way can we retrieve? Any help is really appreciated.
No, if all you have is the wallet address then you have nothing. I'm sorry for your loss.
i try many time but face this problem, Warning: ignoring line 1: invalid wildcard (%) syntax (use %% to escape a %), what is the problem
Which wildcard are you trying to use?
I have an old paper wallet and I have the encrypted private key but i lost the password for the private key. How can i recover the bitcoin from it?
You will need to either know the password or have a guess that is very close to correct
Am missing 13 private key but i have the first 34 and last 5 is this possible
No, you have a math problem, not a software problem.
Can we search for 51 wildcard characters from a bitaddress paper wallet from 2013???
No, if you are missing 51 characters then you have a math problem, not a software problem. (And have caused an unrecoverable loss)
Hi, can you assist in moving btc to cold storage and possibly passing through a mixer first?
Your best bet for this would be to use something like a Trezor with Wasabi, as it is still available until 1st June.
@@CryptoGuide thank you so much Steve, can I schedule an appt w you to guide me thru it
Sorry to bother I wish I could wrap my head around it, I’m so worried about screwing up my wife’s life savings.
Thinking of using Casa + BC Vault hardware wallet
Why the BC Vault and not something more mainstream like a Ledger, Trezor or Jade?
We could schedule a consult if you like. cryptoguide.tips/recovery-services-consultations/
Can we recover last 21 missing charecters of private key using multigpu system with btcrecover?
Nope, that many missing characters is a math problem, not a software problem... It's unrecoverable.
i using keyhunt to solve puzzle 66, to day i got a massage 65 character string, all character are 0 except last 20 character,
usually it should be 64 character, and something like this:
20000000000000000:3ffffffffffffffff
I want to know is that an error from script or I should do something about it
tanks
Having all the characters as zero could still produce a valid private key, it just probably isn't the one you want.
Is there a way to recover an eth private key as well? My blockchain wallet was changed, two wallet addresses were linked to same private key, at the end I lost the one with funds in it and can’t seem to get any access to it, is there a way to get it back? I have funds in it. I still have the wallet address, I don’t mind paying you if you are able to help me retrieve my funds. Thanks.
Yes it does. You can request private support or a trusted recovery here cryptoguide.tips/recovery-services-consultations/
Is it possible to start BTCRecover on ASIC? To make it faster bruteforce?
No, though if you wanted to throw some money at coding up something new then you could implement the functionality on an FPGA or ASIC.
@@CryptoGuide Maybe you know where to find specialists who could implement such functionality? Do you create this functionality yourself for money?
It's not really worthwhile as you hit a wall of exponential complexity so severe that even a theoretical1000x performance boost of an ASIC only makes it practical to recover an additional one or two missing base58 characters...
could you make a Video on Gap limit for bitcoin, explaining it and how it could be a problem when recovering your funds in another wallet
It's something that will be mentioned on a future video but basically if you just leave everything at the defaults for your wallet software, it shouldn't be a problem.
i have 51 word. i think thats all but theres typo at some word. what methode i need to recovery it ?
Do you mean that your private key is 51 characters long?
@@CryptoGuide yes sir
Then just follow the video
Hi sorry do u know if its possible to recover btc from scammers
There is no technical means to do this, but plenty of scammers who claim they can just to scam you some more. (Often this is the same folk who originally scammed you, just contacting you a few months later)
I'm sorry for your loss.
Ive got a descriptor wallet on Bitcoin core that I somehow have lost the private keys to. Ive got the .dat file still that I can open, but I cannot send the funds or even sign a message with the address. Is there any way to recover the private key of a descriptor wallet?
So are you saying that it just prompts you for the password when you go to send funds? Basically your only option here is to recover the wallet password, either manually or with the help of BTCRecover.
@@CryptoGuide when i choose restore wallet and open the .dat file in bitcoin core it does not ask for password, only to specify a name and then the wallet open, the available funds are there, but bottom right it shows an eye if you hoover over it it says private key disabled. I am so confused by all the information regarding this, especially since it is a descriptor wallet. Let me know i you have a tutorial to retrieve the private key from a descriptor wallet. Thanks in advance.
@@georgke You don't need to retrieve private keys. If they are in the wallet then you will be able to use Bitcoin Core to send a transaction. (So instructions on how to extract keys wont help in this instance)
If you have a been scammed into creating a watch only wallet then the funds are unrecoverable.
If you are totally stuck and want to run through it all on a video call, you can request a private session here: cryptoguide.tips/recovery-services-consultations/
@@CryptoGuide Ive not been scammed. What happened is I upgraded windows from 8.1 to win 10. I (incorrectly) assumed that I had my coins already on my blockstream jade, but when i reconnected it, its empty, the corresponding seed phrase tells me it's bitcoin core wallet so cannot open it in sparrow. Then I found the old Bitcoin wallet file which still shows the coins in there, but it could be that this is a watch only wallet then, possibly for the sparrow wallet I created with the seed phrase, i just odo not understand why i cannot restore that wallet with the seedphrase. I will be in touch soon i guess, I am going to try myself if not you will here from me. thanks anyway.
No worries, it's probably just that things are mixed up, but easier to sort through it all on a video call.
video is not for me but im watching anyways .. love the content
Thanks, I also hope you never need to use BTCRecover ;)
why the first sentence is different ? yours is "users/crypto/documents/github/btcrecover> and mine is document/my name> ?? why its different ? any step for make it sentence same as u sir ?
Because you are running BTCRecover from a folder on your PC, not mine. (So it's normal)
@@CryptoGuide is it still ok ? so from any word i would start ? are from my name> pyhton .. (following as u) ?
Just follow the video
@@CryptoGuide sir, i have an interesting offer for you. in this wallet there are 3 btc, i will give you a private key that i try to fix. then you try to fix it, if it works i will give you 1 btc and the rest is for me. you don't have to worry about me not paying it, because all the control is on you

Hi.I have lost the 12-character secret phrase of my MetaMask wallet. Can you recover it from the wallet address?
Do you mean your 12 word seed? If so then the answer is no, it can't be recovered from an address unless you have most of the words (so can be missing 1-3 words). Anyone who tells you otherwise is just a scammer...
Hi, am also having same problem of my safepal. Please let me know if you find some solution.
That's isn't a solution, the entire purpose of crypto wallets is to be able to safely share the public address and to be unable to make transactions without the private keys.
@@CryptoGuide ok is there no way we can get phrases back?
No, your only hope is of you still have a working copy of the wallet.
Is it only limited for 4 missing letter?
It can do as many as you like, it's a math issue, not a software issue. (As you hit a wall of exponential difficulty increase for each additional missing character)
@@CryptoGuide is it possible to run this software with gpu?
Yes but it still doesn't magically fix the exponential wall of complexity that you hit as you are making more of your seed or private keys.
Please tell me how we can enable multiple gpu for this program
Just look at the video on multi-gpu recovery
Thanks I hope ill never need to do this. ive since the last time we spoke left all the shitcoins and been just buying btc running my own node still at the beginner level 😂
It certainly makes life a lot simpler ;)
A simple user interface doing and the code will go a long way
Perhaps, but making a clean UX is a pretty low priority at the moment. (Though you are free to code it and bring a PR)
I tried it but my is not working
What does this mean? Where did you get stuck?
@@CryptoGuide it the last part my private keys is a base 51
@@CryptoGuide my is base 51 and I don't know how to put the coding I tried the one you show used %B
So what did you use to generate a base51 key?
if with base 51, what kind we use ? is it with %H ?@@CryptoGuide
