I don't think it's the exotic mission weapon. They specifically said they don't want to spoil how to get it which sounds more like a secret than a scripted quest. They also showed it in the trailer
The activity is very interesting and has a lot of potential but I think they should chillax on the no healing aspect. It's just obnoxious in its current form. But they should keep healing restricted because it is an interesting aspect of the activity. Just a minor adjustment to it so it's not completely obnoxious and doesn't utterly negate build crafting. Looking forward to running it more and figuring it out though
@db1872 exactly. They went a little overboard with nerfing all the different sources of healing. I'm all for dialing them back to make the activity harder but in its current state it's a bit much, ultimately encouraging too passive of gameplay
@@mnmarlertell me about it, I currently play a class that has a totally useless class ability in the nether. My warlocks class ability gives a shitty 15% burst heal which is useless for a class ability.

They do appear to be different guns entirely. I tried infusing a normal HMG into my double perk version of the HMG and it costed 1 enhancement core instead of glimmer like it should have.
I really like the new activity, absolutely love that it is on the Dreadnaught. I like how every instance is a bit different each time you play. No Adepts so far an exploration but several masterwork versions with double rows of perks. I've been logging into D1 for the last several months just to patrol the Dreadnaught and kill the Ultra Knight haha. For Nostalgia of course.
Just a couple of things I got the Curated roll on the Adamantite and unrelenting is the best way I found to regain health. Heal Clip does nothing. Second thing is to watch out for these little black orbs that move across the floor. Example at 27:27 in your the there are 3 of them moving from right to left. If you shoot them they give you Sigil Shards.
only played on my titan so far, but heal clip, knock out, and restoration do not work or give barely noticeable returns. I'm assuming it will be the same for BoW but I'm not sure how over shields work. It definitely is weird these other options don't work since it seemed to suggest only passive healing was going to be disabled
@@jamesbarton4424knock out has been confirmed to be one of the few things that work like normal. You have to remember as well that you're trying to fill a health bar that's 3x the normal size. So even though knockout is working like normal, it still won't fill the entire health bar with one melee.
I kind of like the new setup. The health in the nether is a bit annoying, but if you've played any GM strike you should have the mentality of how to engage your targets safely. Otherwise I'd just ask that they buff the healing effects of certain abilities, mainly Devour and Banner of War as these heal a barely noticable amount, plus void overshields do not grant a full amount (or maybe they do and we just have more of it) so buffing that would be appreciated.
@@ZyloPhoneNobody's complaining about the difficulty though. The only noticable complaint I see is about the lack of health some things give, which isn't an unvalidated claim as some things like Heal Clip and Support Frames give basically no health at all. They shouldn't give their full amount, but I'd like for them to at least do anything.
If you want another healing option in Nether reloading after a kill with the Rat King Catalyst heals you like normal. Boot mods that heal on orb pickups don't seem to heal you though.

I thought i had a shiny because of the masterwork and double traits. Thanks for pointing out that they will actually have adept in the name. The grind continues!
The thrall follows you in one path only. Running away when you leave that path. Just follow that path. It'll automatically path to the worm piles once you're relatively close. In the tormentor section, there is a solar crystal event that can spawn. Next to it is another secret pathway that takes you up.
My first weapon drop was a “normal shiny” Adamantite with full range masterwork, double perks, traits, and origin traits. The combination of Unrelenting and Circle of Life is GREAT in the Nether!
The health changes really suck. Everyone was saying it was an L before the episode even launched and I was like it can’t be that bad. After running around for 1 hour solo in explore mode and not finishing that 5th quest step. It’s brutal, it sucks.
Skill issue. Explored for more than 2h with no real threat at all. Even had 10 revives left and I'm a casual old ass who skipped last season entirely. Didn't even use the weapons, that heal you. Knockout on Titan helped tho. Ngl. Are you running the obvious like 100 resilience and mixed defensive mods i.e. Void + Arc or something? How about Overshields? Frost Armor? Woven Mail? Anything? Using any build or just thrown shit together?
@@fort809even without knockout the activity isn’t hard as OP is making it out to be. Take your time and don’t run in like a psycho. The only hard thing really is the boss tormentor but even then if you keep moving around the area a it’s fine. Use fireteam finder if it’s too hard to do solo.
Hey fun fact you don’t get stacks from the eyes from them seeing you, you get stacks via YOU looking at THEM. I figured this out by trying to get rid of my stacks behind cover & they were dropping until I took out my sword & due to the 3rd person cam I could then see them & my stacks started rising again. Try walking passed them without looking at them & you will receive no stacks. Pretty cool mechanic
When I was farming master VOG sometimes enemies/encounters would drop sigil shards. So if you're farming master Templar for timelost fatebringer like I was you'll also get some sigil shrds dropped on the floor :)
So a thing with the giant eyes that eventually kill you; its not them looking at you the buids stacks. Its when you look at them while they're looking at you. If you turn your back to them you won't build stacks
if u use lumina with boots of assembler it works really well, but for the orbs from boots of assembler to heal allies like lumina you have to have lumina in your hand. If you have a special or heavy in hand it doesnt heal them.
FYI: If you're having trouble soloing it (I was), then i found a decent enough loadout: The new season pass trace rifle, Verity's Brow with hands-on and arc siphon, Song of Flame, storm grenade, arcane needle, hellion, bleak watcher, and recon + bait and switch on Pro Memoria Not the best loadout but it got me two solo clears within my first three attempts
I've only done the regular Nether (not explore) 3 times so far. I did get one shiny drop of the Strand wave frame sword. It did drop with two origin traits. I like some of the discovery we have with the Nether but I do wish they'd let us know we can turn materials in at Eris's apt. It felt like I was finding stuff of zero value. Now I gotta go dunk and see what I get
I got one drop with double traits in every column for the new support AR. I did the nether run solo my first run (for the starting missions or whatever). The nether is pretty cool, heard there was bugs with healing, so I died a lot lol. But that drop I got at the end for the AR was pretty good.
This far everything seems really fun. My one gripe is solo mode definitely doesn't feel easier. The over abundance of Husks and grims really can be overwhelming. I've literally been shredded in 1 or 2 seconds from full health doing a couple objectives
I've ran the new seasonal activity even on expert and haven't died at all, suppose that's thanks to a good getaway artist + bleak watcher build with the new trace. Great build btw...
Casual reminder that KNOCKOUT on titan is actually really good to run, (even though most run it already) cause its a regen scalar, so it does way more in this mode. (it also may have some custom tuning since its a melee only fragment which makes it more Risk/Reward in the nether.)
I genuinely like the harder style of being on the Dreadnaught without the healing. I just hope that actual healing abilities get a small buff. I don’t need my healing rift to make me get all my health back on every cast. I just wish that using a full healer build with Well, Healing Nades/Turrets, and the whole 9 yards in investment would be more worth it to run. They could make that build a lot better with only a slight buff in there. Right now, it’s just better for me to slay out on Prismatic than it is to run an actual healing build.
I am loving it the only thing I would say id add a bunch more perk options to all the weapons so we just have more variety with the cause they are so cool I want to use them
cheese alert b4 they might put up wall during the lezrel eversion boss fight there might be a worm thing on top of one of the 2 fire column's also you can shoot the boos from up there while hiding behind the hook thing ontop of it becareful ya may get hit even tho you are behind it
I know there’s weird bonus secrets that disappear once the boss is triggered. One I think I fought wizards guarding a portal to a loot room with I think 7 chests? But I could only open one chest
I really like the nether. I like that its usually just free roaming the 3 areas on your own or meeting up with your teammates to handle a boss. What i don't like is how a random can easily waste all the revive tokens.
My only complaint for this season is that there won’t be audio for sloane and xivu in the future. Both are amazing, and both Eris and drifter have been killing it in this week alone. During season of the deep xivu had me on the edge of my seat and gave me chills multiple times. Sloane has this powerful voice that can switch from calm and focused to deeply intense. I hope they can fix that in the future before episode’s end
Yeah honestly as good as Savathun's voice acting is I've always thought Xivu was one of the best voices in the game, its too bad but hopefully they fix it

Bro, the SMG being teased but not available for months really got me wanting a refund 😂😂
You talking about Boondoogle?
I don't think it's the exotic mission weapon. They specifically said they don't want to spoil how to get it which sounds more like a secret than a scripted quest. They also showed it in the trailer
@@RuiNDieM1988 I thought they were talking about Boomdoogle cause they only said SMG
Yeah like restoration and void overshields essentially doing nothing is a bit crazy.
Agree at least give health killing some majors, NO health regen at all is very ridiculous, now we are going to level up difficult things, giving you tons of champions and no health regen
they have thrown everything at the wall to see what sticks.
ty for the walkthrough, my fireteam and i was through it on day 1, we all thought the nether was garbage, and we where hoping it was just something we missed that made it a bad experience, feb 8th we just played again after watching YT for hints, and we still think its garbage.....so thats it for D2 for us, we will play something thats fun, instead of aggravating .....i really wish the 10 revives where split up into 3 personal revives tokens that can be use on your self or fellow guardian , so when you launch in with rando's you dont have 1 player thats consuming all the revives
I've actually found having the detector ghost mod off on my ghost makes this more fun for me. I like the feeling of exploration without having all the icons in my face telling me where to go. I like being able to find stuff naturally. Even if I miss out on something, there's so much loot in there I don't think its a problem
This activity is such a breath of fresh air for the game. Big into it.
For Nostalgia of course.
i don't understand what all the fuss about for the health mechanic, it's really fun and challenging
Crazy as it sounds, I've been using Suros Regime and One Eyed mask for healing/overshields on prismatic.
Just a couple of things
I got the Curated roll on the Adamantite and unrelenting is the best way I found to regain health.
Referring to your ending. I’m Loving this layout so far.
Destiny players when something is actually hard: 😡
@@ZyloPhoneNobody's complaining about the difficulty though. The only noticable complaint I see is about the lack of health some things give, which isn't an unvalidated claim as some things like Heal Clip and Support Frames give basically no health at all. They shouldn't give their full amount, but I'd like for them to at least do anything.
Also, the eyes only apply stacks if you’re making eye contact with them so you don’t necessarily have to break line of sight
My wallet is hurting at the moment from all the new stuff up for silver 😢😂

If you want another healing option in Nether reloading after a kill with the Rat King Catalyst heals you like normal.
Boot mods that heal on orb pickups don't seem to heal you though.
I'll wait a few weeks, but it's funny to see Duviri in Destiny
I've played Warframe and this is nothing like durviri, stop comparing Warframe and destiny they're almost complete different games, they didn't invent rouge likes
Y’all need to stop comparing, I’m playing Warframe atm myself but I haven’t compared either game once. They’re nothing alike lol, y’all just love drama 😂
Yeah I just joined the past act and now this episode I like this way more
I went in my first couple rounds with no healing whatsoever to see how it went. And it was rough
Who you tellin bro 😭 I burned like 10 of my teams lives trying to be a hero lol
@ shit eh haha I was solo so only myself to blame
I thought i had a shiny because of the masterwork and double traits. Thanks for pointing out that they will actually have adept in the name. The grind continues!
It is a refreshing change imo, this activity is a shakeup we haven’t seen in a while, devs did well
The thrall follows you in one path only. Running away when you leave that path. Just follow that path. It'll automatically path to the worm piles once you're relatively close.
In the tormentor section, there is a solar crystal event that can spawn. Next to it is another secret pathway that takes you up.
I gotta say, I’m having a lot of fun so far. This seasonal activity is definitely one of the best ones so far to me.
2:57 actually if you look away the stacks go away too, super cool
“After struggling for hours to get into the game” enough said 😂
My first weapon drop was a “normal shiny” Adamantite with full range masterwork, double perks, traits, and origin traits. The combination of Unrelenting and Circle of Life is GREAT in the Nether!
um the explore version of the nether is fucking difficult by yourself i couldnt get through it , almost did but holy , the activity is fun tho
I love farming for shiny weapons it reminds me of farming for strike exclusives in d1 😅
This is the difficulty that people been asking for can't just run in like a lunatic.
I think it’s just you man.
@IxAmxOlek knockout is bugged and currently restores 100% healthy. Don’t act all high and mighty because you accidentally bypassed the mechanic
@@fort809even without knockout the activity isn’t hard as OP is making it out to be. Take your time and don’t run in like a psycho. The only hard thing really is the boss tormentor but even then if you keep moving around the area a it’s fine. Use fireteam finder if it’s too hard to do solo.
I look forward to going back into the Nether today. I can't say the same for the past episode repeat levels/quests.
This layout is so much fucking better. No make everything bigger! More puzzles, more bosses, more areas etc and we are cooking!
Knockout on arc titan puts in serious work in the healing department
I loved the music is sinister, give a eldritch vibe with the state of the dreadnought e those strange tentacles.
So a thing with the giant eyes that eventually kill you; its not them looking at you the buids stacks. Its when you look at them while they're looking at you. If you turn your back to them you won't build stacks
Am loving the update and level of exploration during this mission much better then just a to b kill the boss
if u use lumina with boots of assembler it works really well, but for the orbs from boots of assembler to heal allies like lumina you have to have lumina in your hand. If you have a special or heavy in hand it doesnt heal them.
FYI: If you're having trouble soloing it (I was), then i found a decent enough loadout:
The new season pass trace rifle, Verity's Brow with hands-on and arc siphon, Song of Flame, storm grenade, arcane needle, hellion, bleak watcher, and recon + bait and switch on Pro Memoria
Not the best loadout but it got me two solo clears within my first three attempts
I do love the activities and exploration. Just need to let us heal a little bit more.
Now I gotta go dunk and see what I get
preciate ya cross always a great help!!
I got one drop with double traits in every column for the new support AR. I did the nether run solo my first run (for the starting missions or whatever). The nether is pretty cool, heard there was bugs with healing, so I died a lot lol. But that drop I got at the end for the AR was pretty good.
Dang I might have to get back onto Destiny 2 again. I loved the shiny guns from onslaught
The new weapon and armor ornaments are freaking gorgeous too man.
Can confirm Unrelenting is great. Got an Adamantite with Unrelenting from my first chest and it's been really helpful.
Don't forget the new aspects are at Ikora! You can get it for just glimmer
Point contact cannon brace with knockout is a really good way to heal for the titans
Casual reminder that KNOCKOUT on titan is actually really good to run, (even though most run it already) cause its a regen scalar, so it does way more in this mode. (it also may have some custom tuning since its a melee only fragment which makes it more Risk/Reward in the nether.)
Love this Act, im poping rifts every 10sec just to watch how slow my health goes up 😂 but i like it , Hive always da best
There’s also a new ghost mod that increases the chance to collect minor boons: regenerating, strike, classical recharge, grenade recharge.
Got my imperial guard warlock up and going looking good looking good 👍
the nether is actually fun AND rewarding, i haven't seen this many weapon drops in a single run since onslaught
I got a drop that wasn't adept but it was fully masterworked and had both origin traits and 2 sets of each perk
I'm really loving the new activity. Now I know how to make it better. Thanks Cross!
I am loving it the only thing I would say id add a bunch more perk options to all the weapons so we just have more variety with the cause they are so cool I want to use them
I did find out that killing with the ratking actually starts health regen to the max during a nether activity
for anyone wondering you can get guardian kills in private match and they count for the tome of want progress
cheese alert b4 they might put up wall during the lezrel eversion boss fight there might be a worm thing on top of one of the 2 fire column's also you can shoot the boos from up there while hiding behind the hook thing ontop of it becareful ya may get hit even tho you are behind it
I did get an adept with double traits from a normal run, I got it from a chest after lighting a few hive plates and killing a mini boss
I had a ton of fun playing this
By the way, because the ravenous thrall respawns it means you can farm it. And killing it grants progress towards your tome rewards. :)
Aztec Red Death is doing great in health back area.
I really like the new seasonal activity the Nethe is quite fun
My only complaint for this season is that there won’t be audio for sloane and xivu in the future. Both are amazing, and both Eris and drifter have been killing it in this week alone. During season of the deep xivu had me on the edge of my seat and gave me chills multiple times. Sloane has this powerful voice that can switch from calm and focused to deeply intense. I hope they can fix that in the future before episode’s end
Yeah honestly as good as Savathun's voice acting is I've always thought Xivu was one of the best voices in the game, its too bad but hopefully they fix it
