The call felt so good in the echoes episode with the artifact trait that made tangles do big damage if you destroy them from a strand source. Go in, frenzied blade, spawn tangle, shoot it with the call, everything dies.
@JuanMartinez-cv7hr they did lol Hell they're even better when the tangles spawn those seekers. My warlock has a build w/ almost infinite uptime of strand madness 😭😭
Personal honorable mention would be the GoS reprised weapons. The origin trait having a built in mini Disruption Break + Shield Disorient is good in not only PvE but also PvP. Each weapon has something fun to go for as well. But they are raid weapons so I understand they might not be as accessible, but I'd argue it's a bit more accessible than Salvations.
they're just no where as near top tier as these weapons are...they are great weapons but im not taking ancient gospel over midnight coup...even the bow was kinda sweet with tremors in pvp 2 tap but i guarantee no one cares for these weapons more than rocket pistols or GL's.....there are so many cheeses in that raid that people that dont normally do raids could easily acquire those weapons at least
GoS secret chests work like Last Wish secret chests now, i.e. they drop all gear even if you haven't gotten it from an encounter before. The first chest is easy enough to get to solo. The second one is really easy to get with a check point. So, all the GoS weapons are easily accessible, it just takes time and dedication.
21:55 I really, really hope Heresy is good. I like hive stuff, I like Lovecraftian theming, I like the dreadnought etc. But I have a sneaking suspicion that it'll either be a super unsatisfying end for Xivu (who shouldn't die in a glorified season) or an overly safe nothing burger.
I don't think Xivu is dying next season - I am pretty sure she isn't even in the Sol system which is probably at least a reason why we're taking the dreadnaught.
@catgodswim Yeah, I hope so, but we don't know. Also, she is, or well hinted too, she is, she was in the dreadnought reaching for a sword in that animatic.
I’m guessing it’ll be good because this season was bad and it’ll be Bungie’s “Comeback” and kickstart for Apollo. Same thing happened with every mid season we had prior to every expansion. My bet is we’re gonna get introduced to the Winnower officially and discover what Darkness truly is, instead of the Witness’ idea of it is. Xivu Arath is going to have to decide to delve deeper into Darkness despite being lied to by the Witness or drop the Darkness and Sword Logic.
Hope Heresy is good. Usually the last two seasons are the best seasons, mainly because thats when either A: Bungie has a good system down for that season or B:It's the season that leads to the next big update
Great list and I definitely agree there have been some amazing weapons this year. I've kept lots of old favorite weapons over the years that I still use on occasion, but I love that I've consistently found new favorite weapons this year.
I need to expand my arsenal 😂 my top weapons for the year were: The call Aberrant action Elsie’s rifle Wendigo Edge Transit Midnight Coup Indebted kindness Graviton Lance Lost signal Whisper of the worm Falling guillotine Red death
It does a lot of damage and more so if you pair it with song of flame. Especially in activities with high enemy density such as tomb of Elders, enigma protocol or just any battleground where you can extend the song of flame super duration for as long as enemies keep coming. I tried and it was fun af, pop song of flame but don't use the snap or the lame fire bird, just press the trigger on your no hesitation with pys
Wait let me find out cross sitting on Indo from play testing... You see his face when he said "it's gonna come back" and then he realized what he said and then proceeded with "I'm almost positive it's gonna " lol backed that up real quick cross. Don't wanna break that NDA lmao
Honestly I hope they expand the brave arsenal, especially with older weapons. They could make it similar to nightfalls where certain weapons are farmable each week and it would be the perfect way to refresh the perk pools
No hesitation is god sent for day 1 raids/dungeons. I used it in pupeteer enc of vesper and that thing made such a huge impact on our runs. One of the reasons why we cleared it.
They need crafting for all weapons you have found. It adds the rolls perks to the pool in your crafting tab. There's literally no point not to. Then just up the cost for crafting and re perking
A "Shiny" drop of a weapon would be cool IF it also included that you could select ONCE when you acquire the said weapon, what perks you want, and masterwork from the pool. That would make it a shiny and god roll of your choice.
Solar super with rinecoat and stasis turrets with a rinestealer liturgy so i constantly have restoration and frost armor throughout the activity is really nice. Usually pair it with a demo solar pulse (battler bxr), stasis shotty and dragons breath. Best of both worlds imo. Survivability and DPS is very good. Especially with bosses where you can get up in its personal space with the shotty.
Aztecross at 5:20 "No one uses No Hesitation!" I have a Demo Incandescent roll with 2186 kills at the time of this comment. And, judging by quite a few of the comments on this video, quite a few players *do* use this weapon. Also... Aztecross at 23:10 touches on a subject that I'm wondered about quite a few times. That being... why don't they implement actual class builds into Destiny. Titans are supposed to be the tank of the fire teams... yet they have no aggro generation abilities. I just did a playthrough on Lightfall on a secondary character and got two others to join me for the final boss of the legendary difficulty. They're playing Titans and I held back on the cat walks raining down Lost Signal rounds, Dragon's Breath shots, and poison dots. Calus *completely* ignores the two Titans who are simply wailing on him with swords and instead focuses on the DOT dealing player. Had this happen during things like strikes and general content as well. Destiny 2 has simply become a damage focused type game. It desperately needs things like actual classes.
I made a Warlock support build around No Hesitation. Physic, Attrition Orbs with a mod to boost the heavy ammo drops for teammates. Plenty of weapons can slay out, so I doubled down on its support use.
20:15 I am extremely positive they confirmed Pantheon will be back again with new encounters. I'd almost go out on a limb and say it was hinted it'll be an end-of-yearly thing
You can't say Edge was over taken by Chill because Edge Trans is in most of people builds for DPS. I think people use more Edge then some of the others on here.
I think a few weapons from original onslaught can make the list if your counting pvp and pve both. Lost signal has really been one of my favorites this year and in most of my builds. Also the newer arc pulse with jolting feedback I have really loved. Some people might not like the archetype but I love this new arc pulse I always have it overflowing with like 80 rounds in the mag, jolting feedback chains very well
I really want them to add the other races. Let us be able to choose hive, eliksni, and cabal guardians with unique abilities for them. Choose Sol, Fundament, or Torobotol for additional classes. Hive have sword logic unique abilities, eliksni have potions, cabal have pets.

I feel like most people bring scouts to GMs for anti barrier and that’s it. While scouts do a good job at specifically that, most people aren’t looking for a powerful scout for GMs. Scouts are simply the safest anti barrier option. I personally have never brought a scout to a GM where it wasn’t needed for champions reasons. Randy having under over and being a rapid is quicker at breaking barrier shields than any Hung Jury regardless of perks. That being said, use what makes you happy and suits your play style and needs.
The idea of D3 is real enticing, BUT i worked SO hard to get what I have, I dont think Destiny can survive on just launch content again. It would FEEL like there is hardly any content to most vets since we've been playing a heavily content bloated game for so long even with the cardinal sin of sunsetting it would likely feel like theres not enough to do unless it has a MASSIVE ammount of content within 3 months of launch
This feels even more true now that we beat the witness. Final shape was amazing and brought ALOT of new lights. But i know a shiyload of players came back to have closure for the story and left after.
