    I really don't get how thoses space elevator are possible. The satellite the cable is linked to must be geostationary so at 36000 km. The cable lenght is insane and even if possible its weight will pull down hard the satellite making it impossible to maintain orbite

    Whenever I hear the words "brighter future" uttered during a story about robots, I am left wondering whose future will be brighter. The conclusion I draw is that it will be a "brighter future" for a handful of wealthy industrialists who will employ robots instead of humans, the latter left wondering how bleak their future now looks. And I wonder how a world in which much of the population cannot sustain itself will look... who will buy the products produced by the new robot workforce? Other robots?

  • @rwc2039
    @rwc2039 24 дні тому

    There will be a proliferation of robots in industry, but If industries can't sell its products to Humans, it won't matter how prolific robots are!

    6:18 Am I the only one wondering how the economy will survive the wave of unemployment when quote: "All factories are robotized." Back in the 50's things like the World's Fair, and Disneyland's "Carousel of Progress" mused over the bright future where humanity will enjoy a new leisure as robots take over menial work and/or provide for all the comfort needs of their human masters rendering "work" a thing of the past. They forgot to factor in greed.
    My prediction: The economy will indeed tank, causing emergency action from the Federal Government in the form of a working-class bailout. So, the need for this to become permanent will lead to the implementation of a basic living wage that will be funded by taxing corporations that employ robot labor.
    If I were King, this would be my solution: I would mandate that only human sponsored robots can be used in industry. Then all adults will be loaned the money needed to purchase a worker-bot, which will be employed by factories, the service industry, etc. and the wages earned by the worker-bot will be paid to the human sponsor. It will be the human's responsibility to maintain the robot. This way, no one has to work if they don't want to, and everyone is ultimately cared for. And, yeah, I realize there are numerous caveats and complications, so this is merely a strawman that would fleshed out, and will be developed as it is deployed by those smarter than I,.

    A space Elevator really? isn't the Panet in constant motion with jets flying everywhere? I would say a Space Platform. With the Use Of simple stuff like pressure changes could get us to space cheap. We even have High Atmospheric Balloons. change the Scale size float it up High until it can easily take off to a space station delivering cargo. Like Helium pumped into balloons 2000 feet under water material cargo is loaded the lock is released it might fly to space by itself cheaply for pennies!

    • @AndrejMejac
      @AndrejMejac 24 дні тому +1

      With a balloon you might be able to get to 20 000m, there about is a record. Then you still need another 80 km and balloon will not do, because atmosphere gets too thin , but to be in the orbit you also need to move at approximately 10 km/s parallel to the surface, otherwise you will just fall directly down.
      As for the jets, they can steer around.

      Your thinking of Cheap cartoon balloons not engineered proper and By scale and I said a Platform to launch from. Since the Atmosphere Pressure is Lighter it will be easier to launch. Stop listening to the Lying CIA NASA that said they got to the Moon in 1969 in a tuna can. Tardigrade's Make it to space without balloons or rockets. So stop the lies. It's just Math & scale proportions @@AndrejMejac

      It's not possible. The Atmospheric Strain and environment on Bridges collapse. A space Bridge? The planet in constant motion would put so much strain on it would snap in 2 years@@mikejettusa
