oh my god we finally have a movie with a few teens that look like teens
I don‘t want to disappoint you but Headley Robinson (the main actress) is actually 26 and not 16...
@@ahhixa it shooked me when i first heard of it
Yes, once you know it you can‘t unsee it. But before I heard of her age I for sure thought she was about her characters age.
And act like woke supremacists
Interesting. I actually thought they looked older

it was an okay movie. Love the message. Wished it was a tv show instead, then it could have been less chaotic and the subjects could have been explored better, as well as the characters.
just watched it this morning. I agree with your message. I thought there were a lot of good elements in it but everything was unexplored
A movie for ignorant and brain washed people !
'It was a okay movie love the message' thats alone is enough for me to not watch it movies shoudnt be stupid pamphlets
It would've become like any other teen drama then
Yeah , i agree it needs a tv show
Imagine a world with men like Seth Acosta...
@@ChrisAFigaro LMAOOOO dude Seth was everything but submissive or emasculated. You only said that 'cause you believe him being a gentleman or a nice human being for treating women as they deserve is weak...
Well let me tell you sir that you are far from right.
@@ChrisAFigaro Well it's a movie, a lot of the characters didn't have a complete plot. He's supporting the star for her fight in feminism 'cause he knows their struggle but also 'cause he wants to, not for validation.
There is a world, with men like Seth Acosta, its the one your living in. You just gotta find the right people.
@@ChrisAFigaro The thing is that what he does in the movie is the bare minimum that a human being has to have for basic decency. Unfortunately, the fact that she said that we need more men like Seth is the real problem because it only reflects what feminism wants for men... and its not submission.
I think same! more smart guys... :)
This will either be a cringe-fest, or a really great movie with a strong message. Please prove me wrong this time, Netflix
Edit: I watched it, it's OK. Quite worth reading the book first then watching the movie.
This looks good.
Netflix original movies are a joke for a reason there is no hope
Yeah
The book it’s actually based on is fantastic and it looks really faithful to it
Exactly, can’t tell if this is gonna be really good or terrible. Netflix has a hard time balancing real social justice and fake social justice themes. Sometimes it can come off fake and cheesy.

I miss 2000 teenage girls' movies. Not rubbish movies that only consists of feminism and LGBTQA+ now.
I honestly love this film and wish it had been around when I was a teenager. The teenagers look and act like teenagers, the things the girls go through most women can relate to and the love interest isn't a fake nice guy or the jerk that changed but is actually a lovely supportive guy with a heart of gold.
This reminds me of when one of my students (she was 10 or 11yo) asked me, a few months ago, if it was okay if she took off her sweater (she was getting hot) because she was wearing a tank top underneath. At first I did not understand why she would ask me that and then I got it, and it made me so sad. So I told her that it was totally okay and that she should not have to ask for permission.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I don't care if some people think the writing or pacing or the characters were subpar. It made me smile, and it made me feel inspired. That's what movies are supposed to do. 10/10.
Inspired for what
I actually liked the movie. Maybe it's not perfect but at least it's a finally a teen movie about feminism. It's not cringe, and I was actually so angry sometimes I wanted to punch that football player or the principal in the face.
It's sometimes a bit on-the-nose but I mean it's still a teen movie and I always thought how fun it would be if this inspires young women to start a movement like this at their high school. It also showed me how much we accept in our normal everyday life as young women.
Anyways what actually really annoyed me was that all of the actresses reminded me of some other actresses and I couldn't figure out who was who. For example that one girl looks like Katherine Langford but also not at all and then I find out it's her sister AND she's the girl from After. It's a whole journey.
I would recommend this movie but prepare yourself it's almost two hours long. Also I liked the music.
❤
I honestly think it’s ass cause now it puts down other ppl other groups of ppl and then that’s another problem then doesn’t bring in all the aspects all the reason or whys it skips over all of that just immediately makes it seem like how their doing it is the only right way
That’s just how I see it 🤙🏾

I was bored over the weekend and decided to check out this movie because I’m a big Amy Poehler fan. I didn’t really high expectations, so maybe that added to my enjoyment, but dammit I freaking loved this movie! I kept finding myself spontaneously smiling at random bits and I’ll be damned if I didn’t get the tiniest teary eyed at the very end. It’s by no means a masterpiece, but the message is so important and powerful and I think it’s the type of movie that all teens would benefit from watching (and not just girls).
