The San Juans are so beautiful -- lots of green grass and white snow and terrain rolling every which way.
damn, that marmot was huge! i thought it was a dog at first.
We camped in one of the high pastures nothing but rock around, did the climb in the moonlight was there for sunrise.
What a great video. Thanks for posting. We're weighing this mountain or Sneffels. Heavily leaning towards this hike.
Love that topo route bit in the beginning! Looks like a nice ridge walk!
Thank you! It was something new I added on my past few videos. It seems to help illustrate visually what the route looks like.
One of my favorites down there - nice video!
Thank you, sir! It was such a fun route.
In my opinion, the best views from 14ers are when you have green grass and patches of snow like this
Great view of the Cimmarons from there and Unc too!
The views in the San Juans are second to none!
Good vid. Researching the trail for a hike this week. Hope it isn't too snowy on those scrambles
Thanks, Kraig! Let me know how things went after you get back!
Just got back. My bro did it solo because we only had one ice axe and they were totally needed after the snowstorm two days ago.
I had avalanche debris on mt massive this year too!
Great video!! doing this one soon... how bad was the road? you stock dodge1500 pick up can make it
I would think that should be able to make it. It does get pretty rough with some big rocks. We did it in a Jeep Wrangler without issue.
that road is nasty, I made it in a jeep as well
The ninja on the mountains I made it no problem with my rubicon
Hahaha Mordor great video thanks
If you did, do you remember where you camped or know good places to camp.
Great video, Chad. I wonder who are the two clowns who disliked this (as of my viewing time)? I'm getting ready to do this peak for the second time, bringing a friend from Maryland. Definitely going to show him this video.
Thanks Steve! I hope you are well, it's been awhile! We should get out for something soon.
How long did this take?
Do you come back down the same route you went up and if so how difficult is the route down.
Just did this peak yesterday. 2nd mountain and first class three. I was worried about the down climb but I found it to be much easier than going up.
damn I didn't know Bert Kreischer could climb class 3
