In some ways Dami actually helped destroy the show. Every year after 2013 was a disappointment, and they finally cancelled it last year.
Melanie she didn't spoil X-Factor...she just raised the bar. There is so much untapped talent out there. She did a good thing and I await the next young talent who can take my breath away......

+Stephen Podesta All I say is that I like Marlisa's voice much better than Dami's . I did not say that Marlisa is better or not. Dami Im's voice is too "shrieky" - Marlisa has a warmer tonality (alto).
Of course there are plenty of factors to become a star. Amongst others it's helpful when you're adult and not a kid; when your mother is a famous opera singer and not a housewife; when you have a degree in music; when you can concentrate on your musical career and don't have to finish school first. etc.

you tube keep deleting her first week (ONE) and the second week (PURPLE RAIN) performance. Don't know why. Those first 2 weeks were her very best.
The best thing that happened to Eurovision this year was that we, Europeans, discovered Dami!!! Soooo talented! She is the real winner!

Truly amazing how versatile she is. That is exceptionally rare. There are a lot of great singers but few can digest this diverse genre of music.
That's her third top performance in three weeks. This disco hit was excellent. She's the 2013 X factor winner... without a doubt. She's just too good with her superb voice!

I'm wondering the same - Dami is quirky, down to earth personable, lovable, super talented and wow - what a voice and what a fairytale. She had everybody wanting her to go on to win and she did - made so many so happy. There is only one Dami. Amazing.

Dami is the most humblest in the competition, the way she gives it all in her presentations and how she always takes all the feedback and actually apply it show just how much she wants to win and how much passions she's got for music. You are deaf or blind or maybe even heartless to not see/hear/feel all the emotion she puts into her performances. She is really awesome. I dare to say she actually deserves to win more than most of the competitors.
This is actually my favourite of Dami's performance. I like watching those three girls as well. I don't know if I'll ever get over watching Dami.

She may have been quirky and awkward off stage, but she gets on there and she becomes not just a singer, but an entertainer!! The way she STRUTTED down the stage after they removed the cape....OMG!!!!
Most contestants in these competitions pull off one, maybe two performances as good as this throughout their whole time on the show. Dami just cranked them out like they were no big deal. Absolutely incredible.

Interesting, in past shows one of the complaints from the judges was that the dancers distracted from the singer. Well, Miss Dami is such a strong singer that the dancers are there but you don't notice them all that much! Way to go Dami!

Her range is amazing. When you don't have to go falsetto on those high notes, that's a sign of a really strong voice, & she had excellent control of her tone. Great singer!

I remember when T.H. released this back in '76-77 (of the last century - yah, Ozzy O and I are about the same age), anyway, this song was one of the most requested in the disco dance scene - even after it fell out of #1. When I listened to Dami's studio/CD version, OMG, all I wanted to do was grab the grandkids and DANCE and tell them about 'Disco Nights' and tell them today's electro-pop is disco on steriods. If Dami's version would have been released back then, it would have been a MONSTER - I swear it would have been #1 for at least a year!

Every time she takes on these BIG songs thoughout the X-Factor, you think, is she going to be able to deliver? And about half way through the first verse, you sit back and stop wondering and worrying and, as the guy says, Dami just does her thing and you relax and let her take you where she wants to go with the song. Wonderful!
She's not only a great singer but you puts on a great performance.

Never knew disco but still nailed it. What does that say to you? To me it says Dami is an artist and will do all she can in her soul to make it happen. And boy she did just that!

Like Alison and Tanya I just found the amazing Ms. Im. I started power watching days ago. Several hours late night to early morning and have found some astounding ladies. The surprising Stacey Solomon from BGT, the exquisite opera TEEN singer Miss Breton, whose voice belies her age, from AGT then WOW BGT's Broadway Beau Dermot who still gives me chills whenever I watch her perform. Then for whatever reason I was blessed when Dami popped up on the list to the right. The 1st two were fantastic, but Beau easily topped them. But with only three performances it's hard not to place Dami Im above her based solely on number of appearances and sheer variety. But it's more than that. Dami channels her inner disco, rock, R&B whichever she needs at the time. It's awesome to listen to and watch her performance. Ms. Im's version of "And I Am Telling You" was thisclose to Jennifer Holiday's original. Now, as Tanya did, I have got to finish my marathon. Last thing I've never seen a singer and coach more in tune with each other. Thank you Dami. Oh whomever dressed her did a disservice to her, especially in that Bjork outfit, nearly causing a distraction. Luckily Dami is too good to let that happen.

I don't know but I must have seen all of her live performances hundreds of times! Her voice is so addictive. Not only that but her personality is so humble and down to earth that it makes her so approachable to the common man. Dami is a superstar but more than that...she is a super nice person who gives to many charitable causes dealing with kids. What a wonderful role model to emulate!

I may of been a bit early on my prediction, but Dami has said in the last few weeks she is now in negotiation with sponsors to do shows in the UK and possibly Europe now.Dami will release new music in 2020 and a tour will come after that.
Dami verified that she was going to the UK in 2020-2021 including Eurovision but has to push that back to 2021-2022 because of Covid-19
