+Lazarus Douvos There are quite a few AU artists performing internationally (so not sure what your point is there) from vocalists, musicians and theatre. I think it is more to do with people not having had the exposure to Dami's music. People see a certain label or market and that's as far as they look. The real issue is promotion, and whoever is responsible for it... and in AU the problem is foreign labels controlling a significant amount of the local market, and for its size the AU market is in the top 20 sales wise globally.

Dave Moniz Dami's vocals are on a complete different level then Olivia's.
Just found her on itunes today and bought everything i could lol.
She is great have followed her from the start. Great thing is no auto tune Dami has an incredible tone and she is the nicest person as well.
If you think there is no auto tune you're either deaf or oblivious to facts. She's obviously talented, but all studio versions of songs include editing, and almost every time include pitch correction (auto tune) it's evident in the chorus, when she says gladiator when the pitch changes sharply within a quarter of a second repeatedly.

I can confirm there is no auto tune at all. In fact when Dami was recording Gladiator in the Studio, the Audio Engineers commented about how little variation there is between her Studio & Live versions. My guess is you have not heard Dami Live??? If you get the chance, Dami is the best Live vocalist, Singer going around.

This has got be one of the best music videos to ever come from any Australian music show contestant, the story from start to finish keeps viewers interested with some really nice backdrops and effects which gets the point of the song across very well and is different then a lot other typical pop videos out there. There are a lot of good Aussie artists that aren't known overseas and it's been that way since the 80s, eg. Sia had been pumping out the hits for years before one of her songs went viral and she got noticed.

i am in the usa i am caucasian and have been following Dami im since x factor, this video was well done and could boost her career on both sides of the Pacific it appeals to both Asian and Caucasian (due to their fascination to martial arts). Dami in this video is wearing less makeup than she has in the past so you can see the real Dami and for the first time they did a long duriatin closeup of her face so you can see how really beautiful she truly is(well done to the producer of the video). this is truly a world class production for a world class performer yet to be recognized world wide. it is very difficult to break into other country's record markets because of protectionism.But if she keeps performing like she has big money will see that she is a good investment

that's the million dollar question. well its this sony did not market it overseas, dami is not a big name like tay swift so they pretty much ignore anyone that is not a big name. sony her label are the most useless label on the planet and did not market her music, radio stations in oz don't play her music, so its a big merry go round, she does not get known because they don't market her and they don't market her because she does not sell a lot of music. so I hope that answers your question. Australians also do not love this genre of music and female artists struggle in our small oz market. Australian love rock and indie, country music most.
