Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 Memory
Why someone would dislike this video? That guy explained everything soo good...
Georgi H. I have disliked this vid because he doesn’t explain how to REMOVE the RAM.
@@pbbloor Did you go a video called "How to install" and find it disappointed that there is a lack of information in regards to how you "uninstall" the components?
thanks so much, i was almost positive i was crushing my cpu when i tried closing it but hearing that it was normal was super stress-relieving, good vid overall
I'm pretty sure putting in tags benefits the channel as well as the viewers like me who may have lost the page. I assumed i could find it again with a simple search, but even typing the title doesn't make it come up. Suggesting me to make a playlist for a problem i wouldn't even know about doesn't make sense.
Ok
This is essentially a good video, essentially.
+Callum Ray hehe
You're actually right that this actual video is actually good.
I'm actually essentially going to go ahead and like this comment, essentially.
+Callum Ray the essentials in what you were essentially saying are, in my opinion essential to what this essential video is essentially saying.
+Lee Eshraghi The nature of the actual essentials are naturally actually essential to the goodness of the video.
I almost had a heart attack when I heard that crackling sound earlier when I put my cpu. This video has put me at ease. Also the fact that the system booted, lol.
At first when I installed my CPU, I heard a "scritchy" sound and I was totally freaked out until i watched this vid. THANK YOU ASUS!!
This video is borderline impossible to find once you've gone off this page. Put some goddamned tags in
First let me thank Asus for the expedience regarding my RMA, P8Z77-V Deluxe.
Second I was a bit gun shy on installing the fan. Before the video nothing seemed to click right. After the video everything was click, click, click and click.
Thanks again.
Bob Snow
I notice that too, but there is a good video on YT where a guy tries the different paste application methods and uses a piece of glass as a stand in for the heat sink, so you can see the effect of the spreading. It's very good. I'm installing a Corsair H80 on my current build which comes with pre-applied paste, and a lot of other heat sinks do too.
you're voice is very calming. very helpful video. thanks!
Thank you Asus. I watched the Newegg video for assembling a computer after installing my CPU and thought I fucked up but now I know that I did alright.
Dude, thanks for this vid! I was freaked out by the slight compression noises when you bring the lever down. You rock.
me too..
I finally understand the cpu fan Click system now ! Really thanks..
I was pushing and pushing, not all stay stuck at the motherboard, I didn'tunderstand what was wrong...
But after seeing this video, I know I need to set in close position, and my cpu fan was stuck in 5 seconds easily!
Should totally have watched this BEFORE I started building my computer. Could have saved me some trouble.
my left ear enjoyed this video very very much.
Informative video. Fans of Bill Lumbergh will notice that by 4:00 you'll have heard 15 instances of "go ahead".
Yes. Bios updates are only really needed if you're having issues. Like you've put in a brand new chip and its not running at its default speed. Because the Bios might be out of date. So if there is a newer Bios release that supports that chip, you'd do an update. The PC has to be on to do a Bios update, if there is a power failure during the update, you'll kill the board. I only update a Bios if I'm running into issues that need it updating.
Lmao he looks like nogla's gta character
KatsuieKurtis YO, HE DOES LOL
made my fucking day!!!!
Garden hose is really only necessary for 18Thz or above. Since I have a garage attached to my house it should keep the CPU a few °C cooler.
There are few differences: the -V doesn't have e-sata connectivity, has only 5 headers fan for chasis and CPU. On the -V you will find VGA and PS2 (for mouse/keyb). The V-PRO has more stable overclocking features (12 stage phase design as opposite to 8 stage phase), and 8 USB 3.0 (the -V has only 6 Istage phase design USB 3.0)
Thank you.. I was afraid, because that sounds.. So I found your video and now I know that, it was normal..
Because he put tags in now
Touch anything conductive that is grounded before operating with static sensitive hardware, or use special equipment that gets rid of static energy in your body/enviroment.
I believe it's supposed to be slots A2 and B2, however generally speaking, there isn't too much of a difference between the two.
Your WD HDD as the second Sata port (Port 1) and Sata port 2 as your Optical drive. Your computers bios will intelligently pick up which types the drives are and you can always manually assign the boot order through the bios settings.
Thank you so much for this video! Building my first PC for my videographer in-law. He seemed to think I'd done all this before somehow!
JJ convinced me to buy my P8Z77-V :D
No. As long as you clear all static charge from you before you touch the board. You can simply touch something metal like a radiator or the PC case itself.
I liked this video because he was explaining good and this is a good tutorial for a beginner like me.
Greetings from Sri Lanka. Excellent teaching!!!
Depends on your motherboard. Reference the documentation provided with it and make sure you're putting your devices in the Sata 3 (6GB/s) ports. Most have two to four Sata 3 ports and two to four Sata 2 (3GB/s). It will be labelled on the motherboard itself but admittedly the lil labels can be hard to read. As for where to place each, it doesn't really matter as long as they are in your fastest ports to ensure maximum performance. Generally, you'd want your boot drive (SSD) as the 1st Sata port0
I couldn't agree more. How did you manage it in the end?
Great video!
One question: What is the difference between the P8Z77-V and the P8Z77-V Pro. I read a specifications sheet and the only difference I could understand was that the PRO version had 2 more USB ports. Any other differences?
How important is it to take precautions against static before working?
This video is very ESSENTIAL 😯
Btw, I just fixed it with undoing the screw by using a plier around the head and then turn it, works like a charm. Just FYI. cheers
i am goin to build a computer with this board and the video card will be an asus gtx 550 it is reasonably priced and can still handle most top market games.
After I go head and watch this video, I'm gonna go head and try this out for myself.
THE GO AHEAD KING HELPED ME
What's the difference between the pro and the not pro version?
yeah i thought as much, im gonna build a comp next week and was debating whether to get 8gb or 16gb :)
Next to the dimm there are 4 switches that say on or off does that reference which bank is on and off
Fantastic video. I'm about to replace my CPU, hope the reverse of this works!
what about installing the Corsair H100. How would you connect the fans.
the instructor mentioned you will need to rename the file in compatible format, what does he mean?
and can u update the motherboard prior to installation with a update application on the pc?
It supports that ram easy. I don't know where you got that information...
its a bitfenix prodigy. if you want to water cool, you cant have any optical drives which i need
Correct me if im wrong , so usually lighter CPU cooler will use push pins instead of iron plating to lock them together ? Like those V8 , V10 , TCP 812 etc.....
most commonly yes but check your mobo manual in case
I have the Z77-LK and i5 3570. I'm building this comp for gaming, is the stock cpu fan adequate? Or should I buy an after market heatsink?
go ahead and stop saying go ahead.
Were you wearing any anti-static gear such as wrist strap or using mod mat?
Hello JJ.. great vid....
Just to be sure... if I want to install two DIMM memory modules (4+4 GB), shall I use banks A1 and A2 as a recommended configuration?
Thank you for this video! I couldn't quite get the cpu fan to click in. I was turning and not pushing them in.
Yeah I put everything together already and it was fine however the main power connector feels like its glued to the motherboard. theres no way to take it out without taking half the board with me and since I put everything together for a test run before putting it in the case, it was such a headache getting the motherboard and power supply in at the same time with only two hands :P
No this MoBo has integrated wifi (the wifi go unit). Look up some vids of WiFI-Go and you'll find out alot about it. Also, head over to the asus website and check out wifi-go, its very well explained..
THANK YOU for all the videos, they have helped a lot.
You honestly don't need to water cool, unless your getting to 4.8-5.2 Ghz. A heatsink will work great and will allow you to probably get up to around 4.6-4.7 Ghz with cool temps. Water cooling is also way to expensive you can get as good as or better from a simple heatsink like the Hyper 212 evo from corsair, I have it and im at 4.6 Ghz with an intel 3570k. In the end is all up to you.
ASUS you need to add the washers you have on the motherboard mouthing holes to the custom heat sink holes.
if a bolt spins slightly it can kill the mobo
JJ looks so cuddly :)
do you have to use all of those solutions for the cpu fan!
Where do you connect the water cooler pump power? I only see chassis fan option but I dont see voltage regulation to be turned off. I have turned off the Q control on that chasis fan
What type of screwdriver do I need for this? Sorry for being a screwdriver noob.
im going to buy parts to build a pc soon, and the only thing im scared of is installing the cpu, is it that easy, or pretty hard in execution?
Do I always need to touch metal before building a PC or should I do something else?
Push each corners, search up how to put it in, it's seriously the easiest part, the first time is pretty scary considering you don't want to break anything but don't worry, putting a cpu cooling in won't do anything.
Man can u tell me what that wifi module is called and where u got it from, I'm in the process of building my first gaming pc so I'm kind of new to all this
Very helpful video, just the amount of times you say "Go ahead..." is enough to drive somebody insane
Where's your memory compatability list for the H110M-A/DP motherboard? I can't find it.
'Go ahead'
the cpu fan, does it matter what direction the cord is running out from? if i have it 180 degrees turned around from what
he has?
No, you only do that if you want to flash your BIOS. When you hit delete or the desired key, it will open a screen called the BIOS, originally these screens where blue and grey, with this board it looks much more fancy ;) Anyways, if that somehow (BIOS) becomes broken, you can flash the bios, thus fixing it.
Can you only use the stock cooler if you want too?
I have the exact same motherboard and the manual says to install the RAM into A2 and B2 when using two. Not A1 and B1 as stated. Checked and double checked... Is my manual wrong?
Is there anyway to check if your fan is working? Is it possible to keep the side of the desktop open and to look inside while it is running? or is this dangerous incase anything gets in and disrupts anything inside
Yeah, Almost all stock heatsinks that come from providers already have Thermal compound on it. I just bought a AMD 4130 and the heatsink it came with had it, Too bad stock heatsinks aren't as good as major brands.
Stock heatsink? I've haven't used one of those since the 90's.
thanks dood I'm building a 730 dollar gaming pc with the i5 processor and i didn't know if i need the solution stuff :)
is the cpu meant to click in to place or do you just leave on top of the socket?
Did he put that third RAM stick in backwards at the end?
Do I have to do the BIOS Flashback? Because the way he explained it I have no clue how to do it. (As in the renaming the file part, what am I supposed to name it?) And do I have to have the power connector on the motherboard?
Each motherboard has a size like LGA 1155/1156 or 2011 etc...So you would have to get a cpu that is that size. I have an AMD motherboard and CPU and my motherboard is AM3+ so I got a AM3+ CPU. Hope this helps.
do you have to install the usb flash bios in order to use it ?
once you've gone ahead with the go ahead, we are just gonna go ahead with the going ahead. and now you can go ahead and go ahead.
It is possible to correct install a CPU holded horizontally? Why you don't recommended that? I see that on the CPU is a lip but this is important? I builded computer on AMD platform and this was for me more easy in this way (horizontally) than holded CPU vertically. Now i want to build Intel platform. I am scary about socket pins. I heard that are very delicate.
JJ do you happen to know what fan header i put the h100 plug into in the Asus maximus v gene? Would be very appreciative if you could help.
well if you bend it too much it's possible that you break the board but it's pretty solid so it's not so dangerous..
P8z77-v pro motherboard manual says "2 DIMMs: Supports two modules inserted into either the blue slots or the black slots as one pair of Dual-channel memory configuration. We suggest that you install the modules into slot A2 and B2 for better compatibility."
Yet in the video he suggests installing them to A1 and B1.
Now Im confused what advise to follow, since this guy is intel & asus professional.
How to apply thermal compound? Thats the most important and it is not mentioned...
I'm not sure if that is your problem, but it could be it. You should change it out just in case.
Will I experience a degrade in performance as I installed both of my DIMMs in the black slots?
Hello mr JJ! I have a cooler Master Cosmos S, i'd like to know If I could install an H100 corsair? (cosmos S doesnt have a big square hole behind the motherboard for easy heatsink cooling) :(
will the corsair Hydro Series H100i Water Cooler and this mobo fit inside a Corsair Carbide Series 400R case. I'm trying to build a computer and i don't want to buy parts that won't fit together.
How is that a solution? People viewing it for the first time won't know that it's not easy to find again. So they navigate off the page and spend 15 mins going through their videos
Perfect video for my new Asus motherboard. Thanks!
Is this the same way you install a CPU into a MSI Mobo. I am ordering a MSI Z97 guard pro LGA 1150 motherboard. And intel core i5 4690k LGA1150
What happens if you forget to remove the CPU plastic cap and you start to close the leaver 3/4 way through? I did that by mistake and immediately stopped and took the plastic cap and then closed the leaver. Does that damage the ball pins in any way?
Hi JJ.Can i use USB bios flashback with cpu and ram installed?I´m waiting a new motherboard and i need to flash it in order to use i5 3570K.
Can you install only one memory card or must they be installed in pairs. My board is H110M-A/DP
.
very good video i did mine just fine, but i got a question? are u making these videos due to how many folks bent their sockets being over excited when x79 came out ? lol there was a ton of complaints saying they came that way and i had to say b.s. my rampage 4 went together like clock work there was nothing bent. now mu buddy did bend his (not Asus)gigabit but it was entirly his fault i watched him drop that 1000 dollar cpu down on the pins its one of those things where we were silent 10 mins.
