  • In this vlog I talk in depth about things that were done poorly artistically and technically in my first tattoo body suit, and some things I’m doing differently the third time around.

    I promise I’m not a creeper but I liked a bunch of your Instagram pics and watching your videos now. I’m an apprentice tattoo artist so I find your tattoo journey so fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

      @@EphemeralRemy one of my mentors has given me the green light to black out her foot, the plan is white ink over the top once healed. Big boots to fill.. I better go my research on blackout and practice packing that ink 😅

    The fact that final fantasy was your inspiration is really awesome and super exciting for me, I've been a lifelong fan of final fantasy since final fantasy for the super nintendo in North America their beasts and mythical creatures have always been incredibly interesting and artistically fascinating so that's really cool to hear. Thanks for sharing your story brother 🤘😈

    I really appreciated the comment about difference in interpretation and the need to be more forward with how your idea for the tattoo is vs what the end product becomes. I have only one very large scale piece on me so far and I plan to add a good amount of black out to resolve those problems

    I heard you say in another video that you are a cook as your profession. I always encourage people to go into the field of where their passion is. Because you find yourself evaluating tattoo placement on the body, colors, shapes, vision etc… You should try to start up your own business as an Expert Tattoo Consultant and see if you can build a business around helping people bring their visions to life and even recommending the right local artist to match the style. You could get paid for the consultation by the person and then get paid by the artist for the referral.

      I’m already well on my into the industry actually, but Covid sort slowed things down over the last few years. Within the year I will be working full time a piercer and manager of the shop I produce the podcast at.

    Thanks again for taking us along in your thought process. Knew as a kid that I wanted tattoos and later on a bodysuit. My right arm is almost 'finished' and in november the last open skin will be blacked out. Already thinking on what I want on my left arm. Your journey helps me a lot in planning what to do and where to focus on.
    I have a question about blackout in summertimes. I get sunburned so quick, 10 min outside and burned if not using a high factor sunblock. But it makes my blackout look a bit blue-ish, if that makes sense, any tips on what to do? Or just accept it as it is?

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  3 роки тому +1

      The sun block makes it look blue? Like temporarily or long term?

    • @danh950

      Must be something in that product that’s reacting to the skin tone/ ink. Maybe try a different brand

    I thought your original suit was awesome. I struggle to see the lure of blackout or black scratch. But alas it's your skin.

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 роки тому

      It was done extremely poorly and never finished, if anyone actually watches these videos it’s not hard to understand it’s very well explained. I’m also doing a way better version of the original concept over top of the blackout currently

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 роки тому

      And another thing is, I have no black scratch in my work, I’m a full saturation guy, I was before the blackout even, so the concept of skin breaks never worked for me
