Amazing episode. Lovely to see Martin. As much as I loved the engineered machinery the rally car had to be my favourite. Brought back memories of my days in the 80’s following the RAC rally round the country. 😊
I was over there last year and met up with Andy for breakfast before he showed me around his farm. He’s an incredible guy who puts his own buildings up, makes his own machinery and has an incredible glass fronted workshop! Also got to see the cars!
Thank you Olly, great video again, great to see Martin. I thought the video of the harvester and wagon coming towards you, would really make a great photo for one month of a calendar. Feeling 70% today, hope the family are well especially your lovely new daughter.
Great to see this Olly. Makes a refreshing change from all the crazies upto their axles in maize and mud wrecking fields. What a legend Andy is, and his pug cosworth👍
Liked the Peugeot/Cosworth a lot but was very impressed with his trailers and the self propelled dumper. Loved the Fendt and the ‘all black’ Fastracs. Thanks Olly for taking the time to go and video this impressive farm.
Fantastic blog Olly, wow that rally car!!! Unbelievable!! - Martin comes across as being such a calm chap, makes you feel that nothing would be any trouble to him? 😊
So that's side unload buggy in Australia before the new cotton harvesters with the balers on the back came about a lot of the cotton farmers had side unload into module builders that had chain beds on the outside and that might be something worth putting on that buggy with some hungry boards. He might find it a lot easier to unload
Holy Moly, that is cool. Think if more farmers knew they could get there hands on them more Maine would be grown. Think we would, as it huge fear for us here getting it off.
Hi olly love the videos. I remember seeing that 306 at lurgan park rally here in Northern Ireland some years ago it cleaned up and was the talk of the rally crowd here for many years after that. A man from here built a 6r4 metro engine and running gear into a 306 in around the same time but was not reliable couldn’t get the power through the drive train to the ground. It’s amazing what these farmer/engineers can do in a back shed. Keep up the good work.
Did you ever rally on Sunseeker? I remember marshalling in the forests around wareham, hearing this engine echo for miles around. Very very good memories
That rally car was an absolute beast and there was nothing like the noise it made . You always knew which car was on stage in the forrest. Great video again and I'm about 90% today.
Defo loved the forage harvester, when i play farmsim its always harvesting the corn is what i love doing the most, the way it chomps it up and spits it out, really is like a giant shredder
Loved the rally car I think that’s my favourite But I’ve, never seen anything like that when you think what all my friends and neighbors have struggled to get there maize in this time and that was the best bit of kit I’ve ever seen for hauling maize made it look so easy it’s taken some thinking out has that every credit to Andy some of the contractors near me I think would be very interested. Feeling 95% today fantastic video Olly keep them coming
Wow, Olly you do bring us some very interesting footage, my menfolk will enjoy this. Many thanks and take care. 90% hoping we have have found a plumber to fit a heating boiler.
Hi Ollie. I Live in Hereford , would go and watch Burton rally his pug, amazing bit of kit in its time, love watching your videos , not a farmer just love bit machines.
Great idea. I'm shure it will be engineered over the years to make it work better. It would be worth putting extensions on the front and back to stop the maize spilling. Or designing a slat and chain to unload it so it can unload into higher silage trailers.
I grew up next to the Glebe which is a Scottish field owned by a Church which was rented to a farmer who seemed to win the world barley championship in Canada on a yearly basis and bred Hereford bulls which had a habit of breaking out and putting huge hoof prints into my Dad's manicured lawns.. I have always wanted to visit Hereford shire but never have as yet but it does look as though it is worth a visit. That was a bit of kit but it looks like it needs a wee modification to stop the maize spilling out at the corner when dumping.
Had to laugh at the wheat comment...sure my wife hates the running commentary when we go anywhere...oh look at that ...oh tramlines have gone wrong there...oh tidy...can't beat a bit of overhedge fermin 😅
Sorry for late comment on video - been at drama rehearsal lol. Really cool video - foragers are my fav machine, such a cool black Katana! Interesting to note that kemper’s headers are worse than Krone. so cool to see them in action again. Nice black fendt tractor as well 😎👌 the self propelled trailer thing looks half like a Fendt MT mixed with a Bateman sprayer and New Holland’s grape harvester lol
I do like a full track, used to operate a big old same tractor converted to full track, steering used the split brakes and it had a doser blade up front. I'm sure it ended up in Estonia once sold.
My neighbors here in the USA, have a massive dump cart on tracks that they pull with a case ih 620 quadtrac. The cart is a double hopper, built by H and S manufacturing. It's very impressive and works really well!
Speaking of maize, earlier you showed a trial with planting grass between the maize, do you have a update on that trial if it worked or not? Tracks is awesome for wet ground, until you get stuck, then you are really stuck!
Fairly certain Andy Burton would still be winning with his self build rally cars, had it not been for the regulations changed to prevent, self built machines that had not undergone crash testing and other approvals competing on events. The sound of that car used to resonate through the forest , sadly missed, Awesome driver.
It all looks a bit painful, until you consider the alternative. A load of blokes waiting around doing nowt. Fields rutted from towing bogged down trailers out. Been there, done that, never again!
When youve got a factory with no roof! You have to get inventive! Superb! Thanks for taking the time👍👍
I remember that Peugeot back in the day absolute animal, Andy was hell of a driver. Seen it several times in the Wyedean event.
Loved that Peugeot Cosworth. What a car! Such a unique and fantastic noise.
Amazing episode. Lovely to see Martin. As much as I loved the engineered machinery the rally car had to be my favourite. Brought back memories of my days in the 80’s following the RAC rally round the country. 😊

Think Ollie needs to go back for a full tour.
Cheers Olly what a fantastic video can we see more kit like this mate combines tractors etc.👍👍👍❤️
Absolutely
What a crackin bit of kit. Some great engineering - always amazes me how people get these ideas into reality 👌
I used to hassle Andy when I had my Saxo many years ago when his unit was in Warwickshire. More machines please 👍🏻
Great video. Loved seeing his 306 going round the Somerset stages as a kid
Fantastic video Olly! That guy is amazing how he’s designed all of that equipment to make it easier on the fields. Fenland Rob 75% today
Thank you Olly, great video again, great to see Martin. I thought the video of the harvester and wagon coming towards you, would really make a great photo for one month of a calendar. Feeling 70% today, hope the family are well especially your lovely new daughter.
Andy burton is some hell of an engineer! That Peugeot was the best rally car ever the sound was unreal! Same the msa banned it!
Great video Olly it’s a case of work smarter than harder 👏👏👍👍
what a episode. thanks olly.. they had a bulldozer pulling trailers for maize in east cork ireland last week.. but that setup is something else
Great to see this Olly. Makes a refreshing change from all the crazies upto their axles in maize and mud wrecking fields. What a legend Andy is, and his pug cosworth👍

Great setup,
Loved the Peugeot-Cosworth too. And the rest of the plant. Possibly making for 110%.
Holy Moly, that is cool. Think if more farmers knew they could get there hands on them more Maine would be grown. Think we would, as it huge fear for us here getting it off.
thanks olly enjoyed watching today mate 👍 👌

Bet your could "feel" the power in your body 👍
ive been in rallies when andy burton ran his alfa ferrari .. that was wicked too.
That rally car was an absolute beast and there was nothing like the noise it made . You always knew which car was on stage in the forrest. Great video again and I'm about 90% today.
Hope your A49 friend took you for tea on the way back home! 😂
Mike ?
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer yeah did you not pass him on the way home?

You and Martin deffo a comedy team 👍👍👍
As Clarkson would say... What a machine's!
Popping over to sub them now.
I've always wanted to rally and that's one smart motor.
Also don’t forget the Alfa Ferrari!
Hi Ollie.
I Live in Hereford , would go and watch Burton rally his pug, amazing bit of kit in its time,
love watching your videos , not a farmer just love bit machines.
My favorite thing was the cool fastrac
Looks like something straight out of Farming Simulator... 🤣😆

Wow what a fantastic video oily
Andy Burton is greatly missed in the rallying world, such a clever guy.
Super pice of kit some great engineering work done 👍👍👌👌
Had to laugh at the wheat comment...sure my wife hates the running commentary when we go anywhere...oh look at that ...oh tramlines have gone wrong there...oh tidy...can't beat a bit of overhedge fermin 😅
Very impressive machinery Olly, that sure is the way to harvest maze in wet conditions . 85% today
Sorry for late comment on video - been at drama rehearsal lol. Really cool video - foragers are my fav machine, such a cool black Katana! Interesting to note that kemper’s headers are worse than Krone. so cool to see them in action again. Nice black fendt tractor as well 😎👌

Awesome Engineering!!
Brilliant , got someone beside me using a Marooka tracked dumper for vegetables.
Is that rally car still around what a absolute motor. You should get back into it olly.
I can image that rally car going through the Sweet Lamb complex
I do like a full track, used to operate a big old same tractor converted to full track, steering used the split brakes and it had a doser blade up front. I'm sure it ended up in Estonia once sold.
Rally car I had a Ford escorts rear wheel brive year good good videos
That Peugeot was the nuts and driven 👌🏼👏🏼
Great video olly that is a fine machine but nothing on that rally car what a car absolute monster im95% today
Great video Olly some great engineering there
Loved both
Tracks were cool to watch
Good video 👍 80% lots of different machines
Neat bit of kit that!
Rally car all day long ❤ 70% today! Good to see how other people adapt different equipment for different jobs you make a series on this 👌
great stuff
Cool machine👌
Andy burton rally legend,👍👍
An awesome Video and what a man
Using komatsu bulldozers in Ireland with triple axle broughan behind as too wet for tractors
Back in my day we harvested 1 row at a time Olly, used to take us forever!! About 87% today
Brilliant video 👏🏻👏🏻😍
You could mount a camera to view the hopper, send video wirlessly to the cab and to the harvester.
Did you go see all the other kit they got for potatoes and slurry
No but will do
13:42 great content again
My neighbors here in the USA, have a massive dump cart on tracks that they pull with a case ih 620 quadtrac. The cart is a double hopper, built by H and S manufacturing. It's very impressive and works really well!
Awesome video 👍
Tracks looks good for wet fields
Tracks are the way to go. 90% today.
That is some Apple 🍎 Scrumping Machine 😊
Speaking of maize, earlier you showed a trial with planting grass between the maize, do you have a update on that trial if it worked or not?
Tracks is awesome for wet ground, until you get stuck, then you are really stuck!
Not sure tbh
Colin McRae was the word guy I was following awesome sport,
Fairly certain Andy Burton would still be winning with his self build rally cars, had it not been for the regulations changed to prevent, self built machines that had not undergone crash testing and other approvals competing on events. The sound of that car used to resonate through the forest , sadly missed, Awesome driver.
The lip on the side is out past the sides so there is a space!! If that was filled not any higher then it would work 🤷🏼
Did Tony Hall go to Lucton?
Yes how are you keeping Roger
And so did Andrew Burton and his wife😂
i would think so. He lives very close.
Spilled a awful lot when transferring load.
Olly did explain it was made for apples. Apples would roll out easily,
Would have wasted a lot more if they couldn’t have harvested the field
need a challenger or deere on tracks for your farm ollie
Interesting maize video. 40% today how are you today Olly
i remember Andy's first car he built the alfa Ferrari
Was the tracked trailer built on a cat crawler tractor chassis?
Yer
Nice puns olly 😂
Masterbrookes the dutchman at Boston make
Them drainage hopper
In eighty's clever man
Better then a Dyson
Dutchman did walk on water 😂
That looks quite dry. We’ll definitely compared to my land anyway.
Unreal bit on engineering!
Be better if they could but a auger to unload or use a a tracked trailer that can hook on and off
Wow what engine is in that Peugeot Rally car ?
Cosworth
Great video olly very interesting video in farming do you have to have a track licence to drive the vehicles with track's on a public road ..🙂🙂🙂30%
I don't believe so. As it has standard controls as in steering wheel etc is covered by std driving licence.
It all looks a bit painful, until you consider the alternative. A load of blokes waiting around doing nowt. Fields rutted from towing bogged down trailers out. Been there, done that, never again!
So coll be bale to modify equipment and us ewell for a business love to work with someone like that
Boom
God’s county! ❤
You need tractors with tracks and a tractor with a winch on the back
