Around here we call them city-iots. There is a lady up the road who moved out of the city, bought some chicken & lets them free range. Yells at cars to slow down & has even called the sheriff out when dimwits chickens inevitably get run over. Complains of local hunters, calls police at gunshots. Even years later a fish out of water.
Hahaha. I know those people. Typically they get called foreigners , city slickers, or colorful curse words where I grew up. One couple that came from Cali had there place for several years and the guy was still trying to act like a big shot tryin to get chicks to do porn meanwhile all there out buildings were crumbling and they didn't know they had to dredge there pond and we're so God damned surprised that a foot into the water u hit mud because of them being retarded. His cows were always getting out too and he would whine that it's cause no one would work on his fence. Apparently it was his neighbors job to keep up the fence and never him. Had another couple that thought it would be so cool to have goats, kept said new goats in the backyard for barely 24 hours then thought "hey they know where home is we will release them into a pasture with 3 barbwire strand fence and it'll be tooootally fine".... Goats got run over by a train about a mile from there backyard while trying to find there original home the next day.
I grew up in farmland, but live in a city now. The opposite of city people getting into "farm life" happens here, where they just try to do " Urban farm" things here, and it screws up neighborhoods. My neighbors built a chicken coop and have a few chickens for "the organic eggs". It drew a family of racoons, who lived in the overgrown bushes in their yard. I think they had 3 chickens, now I see only two. I know my cat, who is a big boy, and a good mouser, fights racoons, but I really don't want him to. I don't need the vet bills for abscesses because he fought a filthy racoon. I wonder what they're planning to do in 2 years when the hens aren't laying anymore. Definitely not going to slaughter them themselves. I suppose they could just let the racoons at em. But the "chickens" fad won't seem to die here. Similarly, a friend in town has neighbors with goats. They think they can use them to graze overgrown city lots. The problem is that they shit everywhere, and nobody keeps it clean. Now, all the people in the neighborhood have rat issues, because the goat shit draws the rats. City people can be really stupid.

@BigCat6906 Can i have a source for the claim that Kansas produces 1/3 of the worlds wheat? Something about that number doesn't sound right, considering the size of Kansas compared to wheat growing fields around the world. I suspect it could be 1/3 of all the wheat that is exported from producer countries to consumer countries, so it's not taking into account all the wheat that is produced in, let's say, Russia and consumed there aswell, but it still sounds like a lot. Ok, I did a quick google search before posting but didn't found numbers that can produce that ratio. The US produces 43 millon tonnes compared to 730 million tonnes for the world, or around 6%, while it exports 24 million tonnes compared to at least 105 million tonnes that are exported by the top producers, or around 23%. Of the 24 million tonnes exported, Kansas might be able to provide 10 million tonnes from winter farming, I haven't found how much it produces additionally, but i doubt its 14 million tonnes more. So with those numbers i would say that Kansas produces between 10% and 23% of the exported wheat of the world, with some room for error. I believe the number you provided is outdated by more than 2 decades, when the US had a larger proportion of global food production, and that it takes into acount only wheat that is exported, and not all that is produced. Cheers and congratulations to Kansas!

There was an article on Mises.org that asked the question, "why do intellectuals fall for socialism", and Tim's video here is basically one of the examples in the article. There is such a divide, in that those who go to universities or spend their whole lives in the cities, have no comprehension of the skills, work, and requirements necessary to build and manage property and wealth. They have no conception of what it takes, only that they just go to the grocery store. Too many people have gone through out-of-touch universities to get worthless degrees and have never had a day of hard labor in their life, and this is a result.
this is partly what Jordan Peterson has being saying (I paraphrase) - "you have to understand systems before you can start protesting against systems you don't understand and trying to implement widesweeping reforms that will probably make things worse because you don't understand them".
My favorite thing that Tim has ever said. "I don't know what I don't know." That humility is what attracts so many to this channel. A rare thing these days.
I want this country to have :free health care at point of service, free tuition for public uni, debt forgiveness, an infrastructure bill and a complete reform of the corporatocracy that dominates this country. That's why we set policies to regulate the industry so we redistribute the overwhelming amount of wealth he has and fix our own infrastructure. Companies generally exist to boost the economy, not the other way around. Neoliberal capitalism has got it all backwards.

I'm not and idiot, but when I was 10 I was also confused about the circles. But for different reasons. I figured they'd set up a rotational watering system of some kind, but wondered why they'd opt for that since it wastes acreage in the corners. Seemed like it would be easier, maybe, but less productive. Pi*(.5*D)² is decidedly less efficient than 2*L for a square, where D=L. It's even worse for other quadrilateral plots of land. It's even worse yet with triangles. It wouldn't be as bad with hex grids, but nobody uses those. The rows forming rectangles maximize how many acres you can get out of a typical field.
Nobody knows everything, but most people know basic things. I mean, jeez, has Kyle never even seen an aerial photograph before? Perhaps adorning a wall at the very airport he left from?

Dumbass died speeding when it was raining and hydroplaned off the road.
What's terrifying is we have some transplant cops like that in Texas. I had one pull me over at gun point because I had my AR visible on my gun rack in my pickup. I even had my Marine Corps sticker on the back. Fucking sickening.

@BigCat6906 well within our lifetime food will become something to kill over.
Cheers and congratulations to Kansas!

we are not a democracy
There was an article on Mises.org that asked the question, "why do intellectuals fall for socialism", and Tim's video here is basically one of the examples in the article. There is such a divide, in that those who go to universities or spend their whole lives in the cities, have no comprehension of the skills, work, and requirements necessary to build and manage property and wealth. They have no conception of what it takes, only that they just go to the grocery store.
Too many people have gone through out-of-touch universities to get worthless degrees and have never had a day of hard labor in their life, and this is a result.

this is partly what Jordan Peterson has being saying (I paraphrase) -

which is pretty much taken from the age old phrase "You have to know and understand the rules before you break them"
My favorite thing that Tim has ever said. "I don't know what I don't know." That humility is what attracts so many to this channel. A rare thing these days.

I want this country to have :free health care at point of service, free tuition for public uni, debt forgiveness, an infrastructure bill and a complete reform of the corporatocracy that dominates this country. If there are things that are needed, we should seek them out. Not pretend they don't exist. Everything I have listed more or less exists in most developed countries. And it's not just for me.
That's why we set policies to regulate the industry so we redistribute the overwhelming amount of wealth he has and fix our own infrastructure. Companies generally exist to boost the economy, not the other way around. Neoliberal capitalism has got it all backwards.

When I was like 10 and flying for the first time I was confused by the circles, but figured it out
I'm not and idiot, but when I was 10 I was also confused about the circles.
