Never thought to compare these two. I was thoroughly pleased with your points/insights of the knifes. I have a Shaman in cruwear and my Mini Adamas arrives next week. Thank you for the review.
I love my shaman in Z-Wear skinny mod not necessary it has great ergos as is. Matter of fact one of the best knife ergos I've ever felt. On the other hand I wanna try a mini adamas
I really wish the adamas didn't have the cerakote. After alot of use it looks like it stormed the beaches of normandy while the shaman has a couple of hard to see snail trails on the blade. I love them both because they are both heat treated well and hold an edge for a long time
I get it you like benchmade over spyderco but the shaman is undoubtedly a superior knife to the the Adamas. For the super tough jobs and overall stoutness the shaman shines over the adamas especially with the ergos and comparing the lock up between the knives. The adamas jimping is weak sauce and so is all the holes in the scales. You can do several grips and precision cutting with the shaman and the adamas can not do that. The scales feel like a 20$ Kershaw knife lol 😆. For an intended hard use knife the Adamas has far to much slop in both the detent and the locking mechanism itself for a hard use knife. I love me some axis locks for fidget factor and switching between lefty and righty but come on bro the shaman one of spyderco best knives of all time. Your measurements on the blade thickness behind the edges were off as you were on the angle with the adamas and higher up with the shaman. The shaman is a beast work knife that you can prep food with and slice with the very best of them for such a big knife since it has that high ass flat grind. The adamas doesn’t drop like the shaman does in shape. The shaman feels for premium and like it would last longer as well compared the the Adamas. You have to modify the hell out of the benchmade to get it on the same level and I still think the weak detent and slop in the axis lock is still going to be it’s Achilles heel. More comparable knives between both brands would be something like spyderco coil spring locks or even the lightweight pm3 and the bug out or like a bailout vs pm2 with tantoblade and g10. Or even regular a benchmade osbourne vs a native chief or something

Just bought my adamas today. How you liking it after a year?
Loved the video, I'm sold on the BM!
The short cutting edge is why I got my shaman reground. Extended the cutting edge to the finger choil.
1/16" wow 👏
This was super enlightening, thank ya
I own both, I like the adamas, but I love the Shaman.
I love spyderco sprint runs

New subscriber benchmades are awesome
I am surprised about the edge thickness on the Adamas - another reviewer measured it at 0.03” ...
It's a hard measurement to get, but it's thinner than the Shaman for sure
I HATE Spyderco sprint runs.
I don't like how the Shaman exposes its tang and the ugly grind lines.
The Mini Adamas is real homerun from Benchmade.
You want instant 1k+ views, do a video on popular knives. Especially comparing knives.

Don't forget Adamas lock failure
