hello guys, I'm very happy to see our product reviewed by john, he's a really nice guy and his collection is amazing, hope you have a lot of fun using our product as we have fun making it. soon it will be available in usa.
Very nice product. GamesCare is always making better and better products with top notch quality. Not only this consolized MVS but they made great scart cables and even a scart switcher. Great video btw, a lot of games in a crispy image ;-)
That's awesome John! I'm Brazilian but had never heard about this company before! Growing up I always wanted to have a neo geo but it was so expensive. This yellow custom version looks amazing :)
put down $400 on a consolized MVS about 3 years ago. It didn't come with anything other than a powersource. I was able to find a HDMI connector and that has worked well. It also came with the 161 game hack cart so that helped by try out games and see what ones I could get in the future. I am a huge fan of the Neo Turf Masters series, but my heart will aways go back to those days of playing Samurai Showdown on those red arcades!
Excellent review! Every single GamesCare product is awesome and has an excellent quality! They do what they do with love and good care. GamesCare never stop making us proud as brazillians and as gamers! Keep on rockin!
I am currently playing on my newly acquired NEO GEO mini. I like it despite the video quality. I have fun and that's all that matters! John, I hope you and your family continue to stay blessed. I appreciate you and am thankful for you.
There are a huge videogame hardware development, improvements and customizations in Brazil. GamesCare to be in a leading position in an important activity that is trying to achieve something or develop new ideas, have been in the forefront of developing solutions for "retro systems", especially consoles with analog output in RGB format. There is no Scart Switch in the world like the one developed by this company, it's a amazing product.
I have an Analogue CMVS Slim and an Omega CMVS. I also have an HDMI modded consolized MV-1F single slot that’s used mostly. They all have 3.0 or 3.2 Unibios installed & play MVS carts very well. Some of favorite MVS carts are Spinmasters, Top Hunter, Blazing Star, League Bowling, Metal Slug Series & Neo Turf Masters. Thing is MVS carts are becoming almost as rare as AES carts & prices have been rising well into the hundreds or thousands for full kits. Much less than AES but they’re not cheap anymore.
Over here in the UK (especially my area) I've actually only ever seen one Neo Geo system on sale, and it was priced over a thousand pounds! Its a system I've always been interested in, but never actually tried. I think this consolized arcade version would be a good way to go, especially as those games are cheaper as well!
Thank you for the cool video and all the informations :) I´m living in europe so I will order a consolized MVS from Italy cause its cheaper. But the yellow shell looks very nice.
I play most of my Neo Geo games on a modded Arcade Stick Pro. I love Neo Geo games but my favorite has to be either Neo Turf Masters or the Art of Fighting series
I'm up to 41 MVS carts. I have Shockboxes for them all so I can proudly display. Favorites include Neo Turf Masters, Windjammers, Bang Bead, Baseball Stars 1&2, League Bowling, Mark Of The Wolves and SvC Chaos! Oh and all the Metal Slugs!
The NEO GEO was my dream system when it came out but me studying and working part time couldn't afford it. The system was one thing but the $200+ game cartridges was the problem. I do have some of their games and compilations on several systems but it's not the same. Now that I have the money they are crazily expensive instead of getting cheaper. Oh well beggars can't be choosers. Very good system collection and cool video!👍
The first neo geo game I ever played was fatal fury on genesis and I was completely hooked I saved up all my birthday, Christmas, and any money I made mowing lawns for 3 years and with my parents and grandparents help I got the system and about 2 games a year I still got as many genesis games as I could with shining force being one of my all time favorites but my neo geo which I still have to this day with the original boxes manuals and everything is still one of my absolute favorite systems of all time when all my friends would play street fighter ( which I still love )and say this is really close to the arcade I could say yeah I have the actual arcade version of samurai showdown or whatever else I was bragging about at the time. I'll have to get this new version of the console
I picked up a neo geo gold the rerelease when it came out got it from Best Buy and it was marked down to $100 it works pretty good but was discontinued in two years. I also run them on my odroid. If I were to get original hardware I might co for the cd system as those are even cheaper. I like the shooters last hope, alpha mission, blazing star.
The CD system is the worst choice you can make. It can be cheaper but if you want to play (not only to collect) it's terrible! The endless loading screens!
Neo Geo is awesome and while it's expensive to collect for, the MVS games are more abundant so cheaper and easier to find than their AES counterparts :-) I consolized my own MVS and still play on it super often, can't really say which game is my favorite but I love Shock Troopers as a run 'n gun, Pulstar/Blazing Star as schmups and Garou: Mark of the Wolves and Matrimelee are my favorite fighters. I recommend the 161-1 cart for starters with NeoGeo, it's a nice stepping stone to start collecting :-)
Still need to get some MVS carts have the console adapter controller just no games yet think about doing the multi cart the 161 in 1 I have some games on Xbox 360
All of my RGB setup is from GamesCare, all the SCART RGB Cables, the RGB Switches, and even the Scaler. Very nice setup. I am willing to get one of this Consolized MVS, but the cash for that is hard to earn and keep....
Great video, man! 😊 I love the Neo Geo system because it had unique titles in the arcade market that are truly worth the play. I'm a huge CPS2 and Neo Geo fan. Both are my favorite arcade systems along with the one for Cave for their shmups and the original two old school Namco System variations that had all three Tekkens with SC and Tag Tournament which plays wayyy better than the PS2 version. My favorite games on Neo Geo: KOF2000 KOF2003 KOF94 to 98 Fatal Fury Special Fatal Fury Real Bout series Fatal Fury 3 Garou Mark of the Wolves Galaxy Fight Waku Waku 7 Ragnagard Kabuki Klash: Far East of Eden Voltage Fighter: Gowcaizer SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos Eight Man Burning Fight ROTD Double Dragon Sengoku 3 Cyber-Lip Aggressors of Dark Kombat The Last Blade 2 Pulstar and Blazing Star Samurai Shodown IV Street Hoops
You should have taken it apart to see what they are using as far as for RGB. I wonder how does this compare to an open mvs? The open mvs has excellent image quality and is compatible with sega genesis 2 hd retrovision cables. Would love to see a comparison.
It looks fantastic! my only letdown when i see neo geo is that i never have a second person to play with or to like the system's games as much as i do. As for the machine its built like something id see as a kid and i would go like: ''oh maaan now thats what i call a console!'' serious buissnes!
Hi John! That is an awesome looking supergun! Definitely dig the casing. Quick question, did SNK ever release Crossed Swords in a physical collection on any console or portable? I know there is a ROM on the eShop but I want to own it physically without having to spend a ton of money on the original cart. I know there are quite a few official Neo Geo compilations out there but I usually just see most of the fighting games, Metal Slug and Baseball Stars on these collections. However, if you know of one that has Crossed Swords physically, that would be greatly appreciated. Great video! Keep up the great work!
It’s impossible to name just one game. My favorite games are Samurai Shodown 2 & 5 special, the Real Bouts, Garou, KOF02, and Metal Slug 3 (but honestly all of them)
The downside is that since all those consolized MVS consoles have no memory card slot, you cannot save and load data after "Game Over"... P.S. - My favorite ones are the Fatal Fury games, the King of Fighters games, the Samurai Shodown games, and Metal Slug games...
I was thinking about buying a consolized MVS from Ebay. Are there any risks involved, such as wear on MB and/or leaking batteries and caps along with trace rotting? I mean, these things are 30 years old after all. Is this a good investment, prices are around 290 usd with shipping and all, Id just like to avoid "ram failure" error messages and what not.
my "consoled" mvs is a mess of wires lol it works perfectly and even lets me use super nintendo or genesis controllers however, my favorite cart is the 161 in 1 😈
So overpriced that now they are aiming the overseas marked. Same company that sells gbs control as they own it and don't even credit Rama. Shills gonna shill.
GamesCare US Online Store is now open here: gamescarestore.com/

Looks pretty awesome. I picked up a consolized MVS about 6 months ago. Have about 30 games so far, definitely a fun system to collect.
I got hooked on Neo Geo after playing Ninja Combat back in 1990. My current faves are Real Bout Fatal Fury, Aero Fighters 2, and King of Fighters 97.
Real Bout Fatal Fury is excellent. Thank you for sharing.
What an awesome piece of hardware! Definitely interested in this once the US site goes live.
Coisa linda cara!
I own the Arcade Works Omega MVS and Beharbos CMVS Ultra. I’d love to see a HDMI console for sale eventually.

Is it compatible with the MVS flashcart?
Yes for sure
Sweet NEO GEO
It’s impossible to name just one game. My favorite games are Samurai Shodown 2 & 5 special, the Real Bouts, Garou, KOF02, and Metal Slug 3 (but honestly all of them)

Personally I really like Blue’s Journey, it’s kinda like megatwins or wonderboy with a shrinking mechanic.
The downside is that since all those consolized MVS consoles have no memory card slot, you cannot save and load data after "Game Over"...
P.S. - My favorite ones are the Fatal Fury games, the King of Fighters games, the Samurai Shodown games, and Metal Slug games...

will you hdmi mod it?
Nope, no need.

How much does it cost? US
Near $400.
It's the year 2022, at this point just get a MiSter
Much better looking than that SNES shell garbage the showed off a number of years ago.
look better than ps5. not joking.
my "consoled" mvs is a mess of wires lol

Do you know if their US website is safe? The console is 10% off currently. I’m tempted. 🤔
I hear the Triple Jump theme in the background..
How much is it
What's the difference between mvs carts and aes carts?
Mvs are for arcade machines and AES are for the home console.
How does this compare to the omvs by taitoc labs?
I don’t have that so I cannot compare
