This is xcom's theme, hands down. This is THE song you always remember. You send them off and prey this mission isn't the one the drives the final nail in your Classic/Ironman campaign's coffin.

This game really has "that thing" in it. Now time for impossible with ironman.
Love this song!! You can feel the urgency as your soldiers are gearing up for what may be their last mission, yet at the same time they know they're the only thing standing between extraterrestrials and civilians. Epic!!
I must agree that this song is the highlight of the game's music. It doesn't have much of a tune, but the drums definitely give it that battle-like atmosphere. Also kind of reminds me of Battlestar Galactica.
Had this in my head this morning as I straightened my suit jacket, tugged out my shirt cuffs and put on my watch. READY TO LAUNCH oh wait I'm just taking the train to work :(
What I love about this theme os that there is feel of mystery embedded in it. An enigma in the background of the battle hype: It heightens this sense of we are going to war with all we got. But...the enemy is Alien. Unknown"
One of the reasons this game is so great to me, right here. Having battle music en site when you see an enemy really sets a mood that draws you in, no matter how many sectoids you've killed.
Now there is no turning back. May god be with them all...... Gotta say this, this is the only inter-mission scene in any game EVER that I NEVER skipped, not even once (or maybe once otherwise I wouldn't know you could skip it). I never get bored of this.
