I’m so torn on this exhaust, this actually sounds really good - most of the time though the Skunk2 is sooooo loud, I also hate how plain it looks/sits. Had one on my Integra TypeR with a T1R resonated test pipe with a 4-1 header and it sounded very similar to this, very deep and clean, no rasp… I just feel like every other car this exhaust is on sounds obnoxious AF
I definitely think it has the note it does due to it being a test pipe and not a full blown header. My original catback for this car was a greddy rs and wow did that exhaust sit amazing. Slightly tilting out to the side and pointed up

And I think your right, I kinda feel the same, putting a header/downpipe on any of the Kseries motors change the tone SO MUCH for any exhaust.. even the Q300 gets stoopid loud and kind of raspy which I hate. Test pipe/ exhaust route is definitely best, unless your looking for FBO w straight up power Either way your car sounded amazing (saw you bought a Evo 😅)

@@superallxn3629 ran it over a year before I sold the car, if you like loud, 100% recommend. Definitely the best exhaust for bringing out as much engine noise as possible. My theory is always, why spend all the money on a system for it to sound damn near stock. Make it loud

Its dyno proven that 3" exhaust wont give you more power just more noise in these low hp engines. As a matter of fact you lose low end with the bigger exhaust. It does sound nice though.

Was really thinking about the skunk2 alpha headers with the megapower rr 76mm exhaust.. but after hearing this sound with the berk test pipe really thinking this is the better route.. rather then dealing with installing the skunk2 headers I heard that it’s a ….. to install not to mention the other parts you have to buy. Like a donut gasket a head gasket and the o2 extender 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I sometimes wished while running this setup I had went with the skunk2 header cause it’s sounds wicked. But the setup with the berk test pipe was a very easy install and it came with everything I needed at much lower price then the header would’ve been. Not to mention with the header you’d want a rear motor mount as well as everything else u mentioned. Sadly I sold the si and bought an evo about a month back.

Did you get any of exhaust leaks from replacing the cat with the berk test pipe? Like did you need to buy a donut gasket for the berk test pipe? Or did everything go on with no problems..
I learned that going catless definitely creates a hissing/leaking kinda sound. But that is normal. I thought mine was leaking when I first put it on but that is just the sound of the large quantity of air running through the thin walled test pipe. But to answer ur question I order an ep3 donut gasket which I probably didn’t have to do. No leaks tho.

I found the skunk2 3” for 500 on RCA garage, which was cheaper then the invidia 3” by almost 200$. It’s mostly just preference and what ur wallet can take. I love the skunk2 brand personally.

No. I’m catless with intake and exhaust. been running it without tune for a year. Many people run fbo without tuning. You’ll be fine. Only thing ur jeopardizing is maybe a few hp

@@Fa5Squad he’s asked if it’s safe to run without a tune, so I said yes. You’ll only be jeopardizing a few hp. Meaning running a fbo setup without a tune will most likely cause the car to be slower until u get a tune. Slapping mods on without tuning the car for it will give minor gains if any at all.

Nope, the test pipe has a spot for the 02 sensor and it didn’t throw a code at all
