Im not sure why there isnt a pamphlet when we buy these products about what to use with what.
If It is wrong to use particular products together there should be something in print at the stores or online that sell them. Not these multiple people on youtube giving their opinions.
And every product says to use at am or pm, it doesnt say dont use this product with this product.
While you may not experience any immediate irritation from going against what TO advises in what NOT to mix, I wouldn’t be too confident about that. Sometimes it could take months to get a reaction, but when it does finally happen - EEK! I know cuz this happened to me!
True! Everyone reacts so differently to products/ingredients..
Yep, I had that happen with Paula’s choice, too strong so had to go down and simplify and change to a more gentle exfoliant. I’m trying to learn how to be super careful bc my skin was so angry and my eyes were puffy, almost swollen closed. It was bad! Plus I paired the wrong products and used them too often. Know better, do better.
unless carefully formulated together by the manufacturer/chemist in a single product, I WOULD NEVER combine direct acids and peptides together OR after another. Hydrolosis.

Don’t mix during same routine (can use on different days or day vs night)....
Niacinamide with VitaC (some aren’t bothered by this mix,,,,some have skin flushing
Direct acids with direct acids can be too harsh (although some are fine with hyaluronic with other acids). (Like AHA, BHA, Lactic etc)
Retinol/retinoids with Retinol/retinoids.....can be too harsh and irritating
Direct Acids with Retinol/retinoids....(often too harsh.....although some are fine with this.)
Peptides and Direct Acids (often too harsh....although some are fine with it but one may cancel the other out)
Antioxidants and copper peptides
EUK 134 and Direct Acids
Niacinamide and VitaC powder w/ serum

Welp right off the bat I am using my Niacinamide and Vitamin C serum together and Yes my face has been getting flush---I thought it was hormones or hypertension related 😧
That glycolic acid toner is out of this world. I put a big gorilla tape to help my forehead 11 lines, lol. That gorilla tape completely irritated my forehead. It was so rough and red. I used that toner and my forehead completely is smooth and nice now with the 11 lines, still. But the my forehead skin texture is so nice now. And it did burn at first. Worth it 😅
Try medical tape. It's designed to be on skin. Needs three or four layers to be stiff enough to do its job.

Oh My Goodness my head hurts !!! I recently bought the ordinary buffet + copper peptides 1% and hyalauronic acid 2% hydrating serum from Sephora and received no advice on how or when to use them..I’m very new to these and would be grateful for any help..thanks
It can be overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it you will be good to go!
After cleansing, apply the Hyaluronic Acid on damp skin then apply the Buffet + Copper Peptides, Moisturizer and SPF if it's your morning routine!

I use the Dermtlgy needless serum at the beginning of my routine and near the end I use the survival 0 antioxidant everyday. I have never noticed a issue or less effectiveness that's weird I never thought of them 2 not being compatible.
I USE KLAIRS VIT C IN MY AM ROUTINE AND AFTER 5 MIMS APPLY NIACINAMIDE WITH HA. TILL NOW NO REACTION IT SEEMS MY SKIN IS ABLE TO TOLERATE .

Ordinary has the recommendation/warning not to use the exfoliating acid with retinol.
Angie Hot and Flashy showed us that we can put Timeless Vitamin C and The Ordinary lactic acid 10 % I see amazing results but maybe someone else may not. Not sure who said it can’t be paired with these two but it works!!
Well she did say keep doing what is working for you.
I mix TO Vitamin C powder with Paula's Choice BHA 2% with great results! I'm very sensitive to AHA's even TO lactic acid 5% burned on its own I had to water it down with a toner.
The Ordinary's other company Deciem...I think it is...has Sub Q liquid which is described on their site as an alternative to Retinol. I noticed little to no difference when using their Retinol, so I switched to Sub Q. I think it works a bit better.
Forgot to say I also stopped Copper Peptides and switched to Sub Q. Saves me money.
You better stock up on SubQ as that line is being discontinued..

Are these pairings printable?
I feel like I must have skin of iron. 😂 I don't pair too much, but I do use e.l.f's clarifying toner morning and night with all my other actives without an issue. Since my skin is so textured from glass scars from car accident, it kinda feels like it's only fair that I have very not sensitive skin! I use a lot of acids. Although I do only use resveratrol and stronger acids at night and buffet during the AM.
I haven't tried the Buffet with Copper peptides. Do you think the copper peptides has added anything for you that the Buffet without did not?
I've decided to not use the EUK serum just because I don't know that it would add enough benefit and conflicts with so much stuff...

I really love the Buffet + Copper. It's a very nice serum for healing but to also target signs of aging. I haven't been super consistent with it to see major changes with my skin but it's lovely. I highly recommend it.

Is the hyaluronic acid 2% and B5 a pure acid that you are talking about? Or is there anything the hyaluronic acid can’t be paired with?
No... Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which means this is going to hydrate and plump the skin. It can be used with anything without conflicts.
Hello dear!!!! Allways on point!! Can you, please, clarify one thing Deciem says not to use Rosveratrol with any Peptides including Buffet ( Not Copper) is that true? You say not to mix it with Buffet copper Peptides? So when should I use Rosveratrol? I am confused....I usually use it in the AM....Argeline..Buffet... 3drops of Glucoside Ascorbyl mixed with 3drops of Rosveratrol ....moisturizer! Is that ok? I use Grenactive at night so I am afraid of using anything else....A big ..big thanks dear!!!! A hug from Montreal!!!!

Deciem says not to use Resveratrol with the Buffet + Copper Peptides so I would assume you could use it with the other peptides. I personally like using Resveratrol with vitamin c only in the a.m. and keep my peptides at night with a retinoid.
You can also use your peptides in the morning and use the Resveratrol with your Granactive Retinoid at night if that works for you too..

I'm so confused right now, this is the first time I hear I shouldn't mix Niacinamide and vitamine C. They say niacinamide goes well with everything, please could you clarify?
Niacinamide can definitely be used with Vitamin C. The reason why brands or people say not to is because this pairing can be irritating for some skin types causing redness of the skin. If you don't experience this when using the two then of course you can continue with the pairing!

The pairing could be very hard and irritating for some. I would personally keep them in different routines.

Niacinamide is great for oily skin!
Marine Hyaluronics is a great serum for added moisture and it doesn't really leave the skin shiny.

Yes! You can definitely use those two together.. Amino Acids + B5 is great for dry skin and of course for wrinkles, Buffet/Retinol/Resveratrol and/or Vitamin C are great options.

I would say you could use any Ordinary product with Cacay Oil.

I mix Marine Hyaluronics with everything. I apply Marine Hyaluronics first then Buffet or Argireline/Matrixyl. Reason being Marine Hyaluronics has both Dimethyl Isosorbide and Ethoxydiglycol, which are very good penetration enhancers! It's used in a lot of products where delivery of actives is key such as Geek and Gorgeous and Timeless Vitamin C. Its in a lot of NIOD products, and I don't know why we don't see it more in TO products, Marine Hyaluronics being the rare exception! The only potential downside is that it could increase sensitivity because of enhanced absorption but I find it works and is really cost effective!
I also mix hyaluronic with lots of stuff. I think it must be a weak acid

Hi, I'm really struggle to choice correct routine with the Ordinary..got mature skin, age presenting,some pores, some rednes and sensitive area, combination type. As dermotologist suggest get antioxidants all year round, Retinoids for Autumn and Winter periods, and summer is great time for your peptides. Of course, keep cleansing, peelings and moisture ( MLS is preferable) as usual. If you can help, please🙏 which products to get? Hello I need help with something. I washed my face then apply the niacinamide then retinol but it started to peel strange because the last time I did it this did not happen. Then I apply moisturizer. Why did it peel. Looked like dead skin or even product
The first time I use before the niacinamide argireline (only forehead 11 and next to lip.) ad the area that was peaking was the area that I did not soothe argireline)

If your skin can tolerate the pairing without irritation then you could but just keep in mind it "could" be an irritating pairing for some skin types.

Yes! You can use Hyaluronic Acid with Vitamin C serums or with Vitamin C creams.
Using Vitamin C or Retinol after derma rolling could increase irritation. You know your skin best and what it can handle but I would keep it simple with gentle products. If I were to personally pick one it would be vitamin c as I would worry retinol would be harsh after derma rolling.
Can you please the tell the sequence when using tretinoin with peptide serum
You would want to apply your peptide serum before Tretinoin.

Hyaluronic Acid is best applied on freshly cleansed damp skin.
I would apply the Vitamin C first and then Resveratrol for morning routine and for the evening I would apply Retinol first then Resveratrol.
I combine the ascorbic acid 8%/arbutin with the resveratrol/ferulic together to apply because they are created with the same solvent and I love them. I use HA at night
Can I use granactive retinoid 2% with vitamin c suspension???
