Caitrin Monroe I have always wanted to do what Zac did and provoke the demons, yet tell Johanna and Johanna only to come with me back home where she can be safe from the demons.
RIP Carl Lawson I pray you’ve found PEACE and “ The Light” @Tsumegam2 he’s the guy that stayed there, the caretaker who that was Bobby Mackeys friend that dug up the well in the apartment in the basement who was possessed and had to have an exorcism done on him. Sadly he passed in 2012 also may Johana and her murdered bf found each other and found peace
Ya it's such a haunting song and I love the connection to bobby if we go based on the story that maybe it was destiny for him to buy the place I love the line in the song talking about her lover maybe reincarnation did happen
My Name is Johanna and ever since I heard this song I always get an odd feeling. Every few months something draws me back to this song. This is one of the few Ghost Adventure episodes that makes me cry.
Thanks to Ghost Adventures for making me discover this beautiful song. The sad story behind this song really touched me. This woman, Johanna, suffered so much from the loss of her lover that she preferred join him in death, all because of her father. So sad :( RIP Johanna, may you can find your lover in the other world, and thanks to Bobby Mackey for have created this song.
Ever since Ghost Adventures, I have had a fascination and an obsession with Bobby Mackey's Night Club. Cant wait to visit! Hoping some Paranormal Happens - Connie O'Callahan, Charlestown Mass
This is a great song and never gets old. I kinda get a weird vibe listening to it like a chill in the air feeling. I actually live within 20 minutes from Bobby mackey's. I love going to this place. I've been to a few bars but there is something that just draws me back to this place. Even the history of the place alone is chilling but I love this place. It's a good time!
This song is powerful, in many ways. In tragic, in fear, and in celebration. Joanna was probably a sweet person, and soul. And its powerful to hear this, as the lyrics is spot on, of what happend. / Chris Sweden 🇸🇪
As much as I really love Ghost Adventures, I think it was hearing this song in that first episode that made me fell in love and want to watch more of it. :)
is it just me or when you listen to the song you can accually feel the sadness of the story within the lyrics and it makes you want to listen to it again and again. it somhow draws you back in...
i love this song. once i heard it on ghost adventures i couldn't get enough..and also i feel exactly like Bigtimerushluver87! i can't get enough of this song!
Oh it is!! It's a GREAT place, I love it. Very laid back. I love the sites you have in England, btw. I went to The Olde Ram Inn back in 2001, hung out with John Humphries and stayed in the Witch's Room, it was outstanding!!! :) I loved England.
I feel like when I listen to song I feel like Johanna's is with me and I can feel her sadness and that she just want to be comforted by the loving man she lost and never got to tell him he was going to be a father all because her daddy didn't want any man to have her and I feel very sorry for her it just breaks my heart that she lost someone that she loved with all her heart and soul I hope she finds the man she loves and tell him also that he was going to be a daddy. Rest in peace Johanna and may you find your true love again.
KatyBoe Baty I agree 150 % with you her daddy was a very jealous and selfish man who only saw her as a money making piggy bank for him I hope he suffered for what he did to her she deserved love and happiness
Beautiful song. Sticks in my mind a lot. I should be heading here in possibly June. Most likely June or July. I am prepared for the negative entities that await.
Chibi Prussia Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go just yet due to it being a night club and I am not the proper age yet. Though I was hoping to go here by July, Plans were changed andit has to be delayed until turn 18. And I'm actually making a UA-cam show so when I am there, I'm going to film an "episode" there and you can see me! But unfortunately I don't know WHEN I can go.
Fizzy Painting Carl Lawson (Bobby Mackey employee) was possesed in one point and he died 2 years ago. Are you sure that you didn't replaced him with Mr. Mackey?
Does this song give anyone else a weird feeling? I always feel nauseous and have a slight headache when i listen to this that goes away when i change song, weird. Can a song be haunted haha?
I watch GAC always and have downloaded every season possible from Season 1 on up. Unlike Ghost Hunters who's show has admitted to faking their evidence, Ghost Adventures always bring in true evidence. I never heard of this song until GAC and Ive listened to country music for years since as long as I can remember. Because of GAC, it's inspired me to go take up ghost investigating myself as the paranormal has always intrigued me. When I finally do ghost hunting, i wanna broadcast it on UA-cam as episodes...and maybe turn it into some money maybe. One of the places I wanna go to is Bobby Mackey's and another is Castillo de San Marcos and Gettysburg. All locations GAC has done. RIP Carl Lawson.
The place was closed when we got there but it was still amazing to even be on the property. You'd think the place would be in the middle of nowhere but actually its right out of Cincinnati. You literally go from one city to then Wilder which is a super small little town. But still the experience was worth it!
as an old lady i grew up on this songs and others. i was always a sucker for the old myths and songs. Now i live in Oregon. Can you believe this is the state with the most ghost towns in America? Really! check it out
I'm praying for johanna have found the light Broke my heart when i heard her cry (in GA), i understand her so many, deing for i man i know and knewn the temptation. Sad to see she's already in pain after 90 years (sorry for the english i'm french)
omgee yess. it was that episode specificly. like, combined with the song you can feel the sadness of Johanna and Robert. Its one of my favorite episodes.
This song was based on a real couple. Johanna fell in love with a man and her lover was found dead on the train tracks. I think it was a poem found in bobby mackeys that inspired this song. Maybe it was a diary. I can't remember exactly but her lover had been murdered and one night she couldn't take it anymore and killed herself. Now she is one of the spirits haunting the place.
Even though I love this song, I get a really strange feeling everytime I listen to it which makes me not want to listen to it... I really want to go to Bobby Mackey's to feel the energy :)
I won't never forget when I went there to Bobby Mackeys music world I wish I would have recorded anything that happens but I saw was black mist quickly
I grew up knowing Bobby. Good man! Then I ran the IgA/Ameristop up the road from his establishment at night. Loved all the customers asking or talking about Bobby. 😆
I remember going on a long drive with my parents, to sell my uncle's truck two towns over. I had an mp3 player and I had downloaded this song, after hearing a bit of it on Ghost Adventures. I remember on the way home, I was squished into the backseat, against my dad's side, because of how small the car was and the smell of tobacco on his jacket. I put my earbuds in, turned this song on and looped it... I drifted off, but I could hear this song in my dreams. I remember a dream about a woman standing in the rain and grinning at me. I woke up and it was raining heavily outside, as the song talked about Johanna's death. It was surreal. I still love this song, but I definitely feel odd listening to it at times. There's a presence that surrounds you when you hear it. It's a lovely song, but it's so tragic...
+Jerald Barnhart Probably because your brain works that way :p the human brain is pretty amazing! If you heard this song without knowing anything about the story, it would not happen :p
+Karoline Myrvang I heard it before I ever looked into the story, and it had the same effect on me. It wasn't until I googled it that I learned about what happened.
This immediately reminds me of Ghost Adventures, cuz they started their first season and episode there, and premiered on the Travel Channel, back in October of 2008
I re-watched the bobby mackey epsiode of GA (very first one) and this song kept playing through my head. I like the song but there's something about it that's eerie and I can't stop listening to it..
It's 75 degrees in my apartment right now and I heard this song again. .. a severe chill ran through my whole body. Paranormal? Beats me. Strange? You bet.

Ghost adventures always said there’s something that draws you back , 10 years later from the original episode and I randomly started singing this the other day 👀
It's been years but randomly I found myself singing "Johanna, Johanna where are you now, could it be your still here somehow" got chills and had to find it again. Brought back some vivid memories of when I was younger.
I honestly think Johanna just hasn't let go of what happened to her. She still has unfinished business. That's why she's haunting Bobby Mackey's. As for Pearl, Heaven knows where she is. I haven't heard reports of her ghost haunting the basement, so I'm guessing she must've crossed over.
Almost all of the paranormal investigators that are on Discovery plus Channel now have been to Bobby Mackey's. This place is definitely on my bucket list
I downloaded this on my old phone, and everytime I think of this song late at night going back to my bedroom in the dark this song makes me sprint to my bedroom
i randomly start singing this song really loud and people stare at me like im weird well its not my fault that this song is so amazing that i start singing it really loud!!!
I just imagine when Bobby sings this song Johanna just smiles and dances.
I bet she does as a spirit when nobody is looking
Ever since I seen that Ghost Adventures Episode I've wanted to visit this place!
same.
Caitrin Monroe I visited Bobby Mackeys last year in August and took the ghost tour.I would totally go back
Caitrin Monroe We went a few years ago. On Halloween. Didn't see anything but it was cool regardless
Caitrin Monroe I have always wanted to do what Zac did and provoke the demons, yet tell Johanna and Johanna only to come with me back home where she can be safe from the demons.
Caitrin Monroe don’t! It’s demonically haunted!
You can tell that something paranormal is coming through in this song. It's quite overwhelming.
Tell me about it. I'm freaking crying. I get sad and afraid every time I hear this song.
No, you can’t.
This episode of GA really got to me, this song leaves me speechless..
+SmokerFace12 its a great song i listen to it as much as i can
it's like the say on GA it keeps drawing you back :)
