Great video... I've only watched half of it... but about 10:24 feels like a good place to stop and say "And we'll continue in the next part, which I can watch tomorrow" (continuing my campaign for 10ish minute videos!)
@RedQuills I'm designing an abandoned temple with a hidden tunnel system below that leads to a long dead Titan. I wanted the overall shape to be a heart, but not overtly, and kept thinking of it from an overhead perspective. Now rethinking that it could be similar in design to this - the side view going down would reveal the heart, but the tunnels the characters travel through wouldn't reveal it.
@JinbaHGS This is a weird coincidence, but boy, do I have the video for you! I made a map of a very similar concept months ago (it's early, so bear with the quality), but you may find it helpful: ua-cam.com/video/uYuQh0tdTVo/v-deo.html
@@RedQuills I've watched this video as well! I hadn't thought to apply it similarly because my focus at that time was on another part of my campaign. I love the concept of that video as well. Mine is much more abandoned and forgotten...just how the secretive cult likes it.
Oh a map of a rising city would be great actually. I've had a concept for a city in the feywild that is inside a hollow tree, so tips would be very helpful
hey man, i love your videos but i just want to say that the AI imagery is crazy ugly. it's surprising too because of all the typical fantasy cliches, "dwarven city" is probably the easiest one to find art for lol i don't mean to give you a hard time - i know the well is poisoned and like 1 out of every 4 google image is AI generated, but if you did use an AI generator to get the images in this video, i just wanna say that you don't have to, and i think if you used real works by human artists, your videos would not only be better, but would stand out from the usual low-tier dreck flooding this website these days
Fair comment - it's actually a paint filter over photos, but I get your point. I'm actually getting rid of them entirely from the next series, because I don't really like the way that they look!
Good stuff! There are actually real world counterparts. While Wikipedia lists a lot of not so deep ones, there are some that - while not mile deep - are pretty impressive: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaymakli_underground_city
Your use of water color is a revelation. It is free enough to keep the charm of the cartography while adding depth and detail!
What a delightful comment! Thank you!
Stunning work, as always! You're an inspiration!
Oh, you!
This is an awesome idea and the map is exquisite! So many stories will come from this. Fantastic job! Thanks for sharing!
You're so welcome!

Don't worry! I was working on the next series today - they're topping out at 11 mins, and we'll see how that goes!
Excellent work!
Thank you, Sir Guy!
Love this concept entirely. I have ideas how to adapt it for a cavern system I've been struggling with for a while. Thank you for posting!
I'd love to hear how you adapt it - let us know how it goes!

@JinbaHGS Ooh, love it, secret cult!

Ooh, feywild city - great concept!
a MINE !
This is no mine. This is a tomb!
are those ai images in the intro? :(
Just replied to the other one, but it's a paint filter over photos - point taken, though! I'll be getting rid in the next series
@ ah! Sorry!

You're right! Very cool!
