an N/A b swap is defenitely not the kind of thing that makes u the king of the autobahn but for country roads and togue this kind of engine is exactly what u want! There are some damn quick N/A civics on the Nordschleife that make better times then other cars with twice the power. :) Its such a nice usuable power to learn how to drive properly. And the sound is just insane. There are also some builds out there that make 300+ hp without adding a turbo or supercharger, which is damn impressive.

And even though these honda's may not be king of the autobahn and more at home on b roads and country lanes, they're still not exactly slow on the autobahn as AutoTopNL has demonstrated. Maybe not going to get to 220 km/h as fast as an AMG mercedes, but for a 1.6L four pot, not too shabby. and it will happily cruise at 8k rpm when going at 200+ km/h, although you're ears might get tired after a while.

AHH this brings back memories of when I was 17.. my friend had a EK9, he crashed it into our local library on Christmas day morning whilst messing around in the snow.😂
Gearing is shorter than normal, isn't it, I remember my EJ9 1.4 Civic could hit 150kph in 3rd gear, but rev limiter was also only 7200rpm and no VTEC, I still miss it, was a great first car to have, and fuel economy was good 6.5l/100km 😂for a 2000 car.

It's not that fast though, like you don't really need the autobahn to have fun in that car, i would suggest an extremely tight mountain road, seems like it would be way more fun
@@kanestalin7246 you clearly didn't understand my first message, my point was that driving fast in a straight line is not where this car is going to be the most fun, if you go to a place like Austria where you are allowed to drive 100 on mountain roads this car will probably barely be able to break the speed limit and you'd have so much more fun
Is it quickest? No, but the hellish smile on my face ear to ear can do only few cars like this one and most of them are 20+ years old.

VTEC in the 90s and 2000s was the best VTEC, unlike VTEC now.
Yes cuz it was involved with the engine now is more for exhaust vtec just more air flow still screams in my 20si coupe
because its sort of pointless with a turbo .. unless youre talking exhaust for turbospooling.
Back then, honda created vtec as a "cheap alternative" to turbo. Now that almost all honda lineup has gone turbo, vtec is getting obsolete

The B series hondas had like 4 different final drive gearboxes.Same goes for the D series.
