Jayasuriya is not just a legend but a school of thought who revolutionized batting for modern day openers in limited overs cricket!!
Prior to him, limited overs opening meant 2 batsmen playing slow and steady, saving wickets and building some runs so that some aggressive batsman later can freely slog in the final overs for a respectable 240-250. This whole concept of putting pressure on the bowlers and slogging right from the first over didn't exist before that.

Lot of us in my early days believed that jayasurya s bat have spring 😁❤️❤️❤️
I was a great fan of jayasurya and attappatu
Love from india 🇮🇳❤️
Lol! Yeah it was a wide spread rumor. 90's were fun, maybe it was our childhood or maybe internet hadn't entered our lives.
Upul Tharanga and Liam Plunkett from that match are still playing.....😍😍
Liam Plunkett kaha dikhaa tujhe ? Chutiya h kyaa
Yup plunkett still in England odi scene and bowling well before he got injured few months back.
Surely he'll play world cup
Plunkett hai
chutiya tu hai, should've gone to specsavers.

I dont know whether you(ecb)reads this or not,but i have to say something on this.It is much appreciable uploading old ,precious, valuable cricket videos of our childhood matches and that too in high quality. Thanks for doing so.
Today srilanka is a mere shadow of this powerful army including jayasurya, mahela, sangakkara, vaas, murali etc ..And england is in their peak form after 2015
Honestly Jaisurya is definitely among top 3 batsmen ever in the world. For me he is no 1
lauda
rahul yadav lehsun
Brian Lara manh
Lassan
In 2006 era of without smart phone can you imagine? I watched this match fully in A TV .. Dream🔥❤️
Jayasuriya, my favorite left-handed batsmen
The man who opened door for #T20 is only #Jayasuria.
UPUL THARANGA- most underrated batsman of Sri Lanka. He is the batsman with most number of 200 partnerships but nobody is talking about his perfomances. See the comment section, everybody talking about Jayasuriya but nobody about tharanga. After the retirement of Jayasuriya, Tharanga opened the inning with Dilshan and again dilshan highlighted but tharanga not. Very sad about him..
yeah bro:/ sad that hes ignored even by our own selectors
That's called best of Best ♥️♥️♥️
