In 90's Jayasuriya used to bat @ 7/8. Arjuna ranatunga paved the way for jayasuriya and Kalu to take the risk and make use of first 15 overs. Even if they got out early he would take the responsibility. That's how jayasuriya became master blaster
The living Super Man !
90's belonged to Sanath. I think his emergence brought a school-of-thought that the game can gain more speed. That gave way to endless possibilities including modern T20 concept which now create instinctively attacking players. Sanath did it naturally. Modern day players are groomed for it. In that sense..he has served cricket well.
Sana and Kalu was the innovation of former captain and vice captain of Sri Lanka. In 90 s no t20$ just play 250 for 50 overs in batting track is winning score but SL operners played like recent t20 in that period. Also when they batting more than 15 overs like tsunami damage to opposites.Golden era of SL cricket .No ordinary players like SL present team.Played some good cricket and most of times came to finals in big matches
The God of timing and stroke making. Sanath Jayasuriya.
Man there were rumours that he has springs in his bat back then
yeah
Ha Ha how funny, it's nothing but the Sri Lankan's power with the traditional meals in rural areas in Sri Lanka..
Bwahahaha... So trueee man.. Back then all sorts of rumors were floating around..
