I am living in the US. Born in California and now living in Arizona. I have been a royal watcher most of my life. My Mom was born in Canada and passed along her love for the English culture. That said, I have seen Harry grow up as a troubled young man. And see now a very bitter middle aged man who realizes he is not and never will be a mover and shaker. An American here. What little I hear people talk about H&M is disinterested at most, and lately since his speech at UN he has been mocked and preferred he either keep his mouth shut or go back to UK. If the Queen said that she was glad Meghan wasn't coming, and I think she did, it was most likely related to the fact that she didn't want a circus atmosphere for the funeral. Less drama without Meghan there is all she meant. I don't think the Queen meant it in a nasty way at all.

As an American I have been surprised at the change in Harry's persona from previous years. He seems to be a very whiney and angry man who feels he is entitled to complain about being brought up living a very privileged life. He resurrects Diana frequently to garner pity for himself which I feel everyone had for him having lost his Mother at an early age. But he isn't the only person to have experienced that situation. He might have a happier future by focusing on what he can use his wealth and privilege to make better in the world instead of trying to make a buck off of settling a score with his family.

Viewing from the Pacific Northwest in the USA. I had such hopes for Meghan when she and Harry first married. I thought H & M could have been a great compliment to William and Kate... but since the the move to California and the Oprah interview I have been disappointed. Working together as royals the 2 couples could have been a dynamic team. Just giving my 2 cents. We in the US think poorly of MM and Harry. Most think he’s weak and miserable while MM is perceived as trash and narcissistic/hypocrite. Both have no real talent but just have the title to stay relevant. Many in the US couldn’t careless about this couple. Social media alone should tell you what we all think of her. I'm an American, I don't know yet if I will read the book because I'm sick & tired of hearing about Harry & Markle. I used to love Harry when he was a member of the Royal family, but not since he matched up with Markle, I never liked her. I absolutely love the members of the British Royal family, I always have. When Harry ditched his family in such a disrespectful & public way, then talked so terribly about them in the Oprah interview, I was done with Harry! Markle isn't even someone worth talking about. I do see a huge change in Harry since he married Markle, but in a very bad way, that happy and fun loving man is gone. I think while in the UK, Harry was very resentful of William because of his line to the throne and because William is a much loved Prince by the British people & also by the majority of Americans. William is the embodiment of Royalty, it is very obvious.. Harry never could show his resentment toward William in the UK, but now in America Harry is releasing all those emotions and the hatred he has for his father and other Royal members. Harry is looking for sympathy and adulation from Americans now. It may have started off that way, but that has and is totally changing because the majority of Americans love and respect the British Royal family, so Harry's plan to destroy them here in America has backfired on him. I don't believe Harry will ever divorce Markel & return to the UK. Harry has said and done many things to discredit the Royal family since being in America. So I don't see how that could ever be repaired and I don't believe Royal family members could ever trust Harry again. Harry is also so entrenched with Markle, he could never leave now. Also, he's really burnt all his bridges to the British people. These are my thoughts, thank you for reading my comments.

This isn't the first controversial unauthorised biography by Tom Bower, and he has already said several times that everything in 'Revenge' was checked and re-checked, and then run past the lawyers, before publication. I am American, and H&M are not popular like others may think. Even within high circles, they are not valued. That is evidenced by the lack of invites to big political events. Outside of the coasts, they tend to get bad reviews. This is largely due to many Americans having strong family ties. Regardless of political views, it is hard for people to stomach how those two have treated their own families and even aired it out publicly. A few years ago I had the chance to see Harry here in Barbados during a polo match and was able to see him for hours close up and he was so popular with the people here as he was so jovial and happy. The Barbadians there that evening could not believe how regular a young man he seemed and it was unbelievable how much fun he was, giving jokes and clowning around. He was visiting the Island with his friend The Prince of Lesotho. Last i knew, Netflix had cancelled their “multi-million dollar deal” when they found out the idea for “pearl” was stolen. I only partly paid attention to a news story last week, Netflix was thinking about filing for bankruptcy, something about “making people pay to share passwords” to recoup some or all of that money. I suspect so many people cancelling their subscriptions because of hairy and megain isn’t helping.
As an American, my hope is Harry reconciles with his family and then he and Meghan fade into obscurity. I am living in the US. Born in California and now living in Arizona. I have been a royal watcher most of my life. My Mom was born in Canada and passed along her love for the English culture. That said, I have seen Harry grow up as a troubled young man. And see now a very bitter middle aged man who realizes he is not and never will be a mover and shaker. He has competed with his brother in many ways and comes out second best. With his marriage he has shown his true feelings and attitudes. His wife could not have changed him as much as we have seen him change. He feels entitled to live as a royal but not have the responsibility of one. Most people can read the true story. Hollywood is a world unto itself and they believe they are the movers and shakers. In reality - they are not. This is just one persons opinion. But you asked for what Americans feel about the duo. I live in Southern California, close enough to have lunch in Montecito today if I wanted to but I really have no desire! Many, many Americans are suffering under record inflation, gas prices and still trying to deal with COVID. The Sussex's are too tone deaf and busy playing the victim to see these worries. Viewing from the Pacific Northwest in the USA. I had such hopes for Meghan when she and Harry first married. I thought H & M could have been a great compliment to William and Kate... but since the the move to California and the Oprah interview I have been disappointed. I'm an hour outside NYC - we either don't care about the Harkles or don't like them at all. I have family and friends all across the US - it seems that CA is where the "love" is. If you listen to their CA supporters they promote, and express, the same race-baiting hypocrisy that the Harkles do. Everywhere Harry goes in the US he finds a way to insult us Americans. We don't appreciate that.

Just finished the Tom Bower book - Meghan is beyond outrageous! I am in the US - Boston, in fact. I think a lot of Americans see right through MM.
I can see why the Queen was relieved that Meghan was not at the funeral!
In my opinion, the queen's saying that she was glad Meghan was not coming is the most profound statement she has made yet, in relation to the behaviour against her family. It beats 'recollections may vary' hands down.
Also the queen of England has every right to her feelings regarding her family and to want to keep unpleasantness at bay.
We should not try to water down her statement. Most people probably had the same feeling.

Let's be honest, the queen stating that is the *most relatable* thing she's ever uttered. EVERYONE has a family member that causes drama and strife at every family function. Every last person has experienced the sense of relief of not having to deal with the drama at a family gathering/event. I’m American-born and raised in Alabama (southern and majority conservative). My husband is a combat Marine veteran. My husband suffers from PTSD. So, I very much appreciate Harry’s openness with his mental health struggles and trying to make it a less taboo subject. BUT-I strongly disagree with the way he goes about almost everything. Just giving my 2 cents. We in the US think poorly of MM and Harry. Most think he’s weak and miserable while MM is perceived as trash and narcissistic/hypocrite. Both have no real talent but just have the title to stay relevant. Many in the US couldn’t careless about this couple. Social media alone should tell you what we all think of her. Rarely did I see any positive things about them. Just a couple that demands very little respect from the US.

I'm an American, I don't know yet if I will read the book because I'm sick & tired of hearing about Harry & Markle. I used to love Harry when he was a member of the Royal family, but not since he matched up with Markle, I never liked her. I absolutely love the members of the British Royal family, I always have. When Harry ditched his family in such a disrespectful & public way, then talked so terribly about them in the Oprah interview, I was done with Harry! Markle isn't even someone worth talking about. I do see a huge change in Harry since he married Markle, but in a very bad way, that happy and fun loving man is gone. I think while in the UK, Harry was very resentful of William because of his line to the throne and because William is a much loved Prince by the British people & also by the majority of Americans. William is the embodiment of Royalty, it is very obvious.. Harry never could show his resentment toward William in the UK, but now in America Harry is releasing all those emotions and the hatred he has for his father and other Royal members. Harry is looking for sympathy and adulation from Americans now. It may have started off that way, but that has and is totally changing because the majority of Americans love and respect the British Royal family, so Harry's plan to destroy them here in America has backfired on him. I don't believe Harry will ever divorce Markel & return to the UK. Harry has said and done many things to discredit the Royal family since being in America. So I don't see how that could ever be repaired and I don't believe Royal family members could ever trust Harry again. Harry is also so entrenched with Markle, he could never leave now. Also, he's really burnt all his bridges to the British people. These are my thoughts, thank you for reading my comments.

This isn't the first controversial unauthorised biography by Tom Bower, and he has already said several times that everything in 'Revenge' was checked and re-checked, and then run past the lawyers, before publication. He's been sued before by other subjects of his books, and has always won. So it seems reasonable to assume that these things are true unless proved otherwise!

I am American, and H&M are not popular like others may think. Even within high circles, they are not valued. That is evidenced by the lack of invites to big political events. Outside of the coasts, they tend to get bad reviews. This is largely due to many Americans having strong family ties. Regardless of political views, it is hard for people to stomach how those two have treated their own families and even aired it out publicly. Lastly, Harry needs to stop making comments on our Constitution. He is from a royal family and is tone deaf on speaking to a country that chose a government that was not ruled by a monarchy.

I really love your show and one thing that I like about your show is that you tell the truth but you’re very kind and respectful at the same time. It’s not like you’re on a hate campaign. You communicate the truth very tastefully and directly.
A few years ago I had the chance to see Harry here in Barbados during a polo match and was able to see him for hours close up and he was so popular with the people here as he was so jovial and happy. The Barbadians there that evening could not believe how regular a young man he seemed and it was unbelievable how much fun he was, giving jokes and clowning around.
He was visiting the Island with his friend The Prince of Lesotho.
I just cannot believe that the photos I now see of him looking so troubled and angry can be the same happy lad we saw here that evening. I honestly think that Harry needs help and either a family member or close friend should see how they can help him as somehow his wife does not seem to be able to help him.

Last i knew, Netflix had cancelled their “multi-million dollar deal” when they found out the idea for “pearl” was stolen.
I only partly paid attention to a news story last week, Netflix was thinking about filing for bankruptcy, something about “making people pay to share passwords” to recoup some or all of that money.
I suspect so many people cancelling their subscriptions because of hairy and megain isn’t helping.
As an American, my hope is Harry reconciles with his family and then he and Meghan fade into obscurity. If Meghan wants to, she’s an American citizen and covered by our constitution. Why a celebration of Mandela’s life at the UN was thought to be a platform to do so is perplexing. In the US, people are comparing Meghan to Amber Heard. They are starting to notice how awful she is. Even my liberal niece in Colorado is laughing about how obviously manipulative she is. I'm from Texas in the United States and there may be some competitiveness. However, I see William and Kate running their lives just as they would have, no matter the Harry situation. I see Megan and Harry as constantly surveying the situation and coming up with things they think will make themselves relevant. They're just reacting , not living their ideas by either creating charities or promoting ones that are already existing that actually have "boots on the ground".
