    Fundraising for nonprofits is hard, but there are some fundraising tips and strategies we can use to make our ideas more effective. In this video I share how a fundraising event for charity held annually in my city - the Enloe Charity Ball - raises so much money. What are they doing so well to get donations that we can learn from?
    Whether you’re starting a nonprofit or are a seasoned nonprofit fundraiser or other professional, we can learn a lot from these amazing kids at Enloe High School.

      I'm trying to fundraise for the upfront cost of a Miniature horse trained to be a Mobility assistance Service Animal (I can afford the care, but upfront cost for purchase and transport would be $4,500). The help this mini would give me, might get me out of my wheelchair at least part time, and would enable me to start seeking a job again.
      The problem is that I barely have family, or friends, and no real impact on social media. I've only been able to raise about 9% of $4,500 in 107 days, and more than half of that came from selling items I owned. I'm at a lost for how to improve my reach, and losing hope because the low goal is time sensitive.

    Hello am working on my community based organization. Yeterday 28/05/2020 was our first project. We had a tough time raising money. So how do you suggest we should make our fundraising. Thank you

      @AmberMelanieSmith  4 роки тому +2

      Hey there! I would say the top thing donors want is to showcase the impacts your project is making! What are your goals, and what is your track record of meeting goals to make an impact so far? Talk about those things and donors will want to help even more!

    NON PROFIT doesn't mean they don't make money doing it.

    • @AmberMelanieSmith
      @AmberMelanieSmith  4 роки тому +3

      I've heard some say a better phrase would be Not FOR Profit. The people in nonprofit work can't make a "profit" from the work - all funds go back into the mission. But, you can pay staff to execute on the mission.

    • @AmberMelanieSmith
      @AmberMelanieSmith  3 роки тому +1

      Hey there! I'd start by writing your idea / plan in a 'fundraising plan' that you can share with potential sponsors and supporters in your area. Ask for their feedback - would they support it? If not, what would cause them to hesitate? That feedback can give you valuable info!

    I need to riase £1600 in one month is it possible to fundraise this much, how with no connections

    • @AmberMelanieSmith
      @AmberMelanieSmith  3 роки тому

      Hello! People generally donate to a cause when they have built some kind of trust with the organization raising the money. If you don't currently have connections, you can always start to build them from scratch but that can take time. Start with those you know already and already have trust with.

    What happens when you grow up in a community that is not self-sabotaging or ghetto. I would have loved being around people who could understand working in a team, rather than just who had the title of "leader" and acted like a git King/Queen barking orders.

    How much of the over $200,000 was received after one or some of the teens said "Daddy, pleeeeease! I want to be the one to get the largest donations." If the parents could afford it, I'm sure many would try to honor that wish.

      That may be the case for some students, but certainly not all. The idea is that every student participates in whatever way they can - volunteering, social media, etc. and the end result that comes together is a lot of funds raised!

    Biologically, most teenagers are young adults. This has been widely recognised throughout all of history in almost every culture everywhere on earth. Even today, libraries still have a section called "young adult fiction" which is intended for teenagers because this fact was so recently still known to all English speakers. It is demeaning, disempowering, and scientifically incorrect to refer to young adults as "kids". Out of respect for the abilities of young adults, everyone should cease that cruel and belittling bad habit.

    • @AmberMelanieSmith
      @AmberMelanieSmith  2 роки тому

      I've found through working with them that they are definitely beyond many adults when it comes to thinking about how to create positive change in the world!
