There are many fundraising ideas out there for nonprofits, but corporate sponsorships for your nonprofit fundraising event or program is one way to build a relationship that may support your nonprofit organization year after year, if you do it right.
That said, getting a corporate sponsorship is not always easy! I talk you through the process of finding and obtaining corporate sponsorships for your nonprofit step by step in this video based on years of trial and error and the best advice out there from other nonprofit experts.

I love this. I'd love to learn some tips on delegating the fundraising to someone else with better skills for the job. For my organization for example, I am better served focusing on website designing, graphic designing, and more technical aspects, I'm not necessarily the best people person, I'm very autistic and I find social situations to be extremely challenging.

Great video! At the end you said its good to keep up with communication with the company that is sponsoring you. My question is how much keeping up should I do? Would a monthly newsletter be enough, or would it be better to send the company a weekly email or byweekly email about things that happened? For the organization I am with, we do fairly repetative task week to week, with the ocational special event. What would you suggest as to how much I should keep them in the loop. Thanks!
I would think of it more like a friendship/relationship! It's not about checking a box / a certain number of email check-ins per se. :) Get to know them as humans, understand why they support your cause, and what they are excited about. Then you'll have a long-terms sponsor!

The 2nd of 2 Google ads was marked 17 mins long so I had to skip it. Then approx 1:10 in two more ads ran. Then again at 5:20. I recommend changing your ad setting to short ads.

Hey Amber, what do companies need from you to verify that your organisation really is a Non-Profit?
In the USA, that would be your tax exemption approval letter from the IRS.
I have a possible sponsor with Puma, I wanted to get gear that would help me in my journey of health and fitness. And how fitness can help out with mental health. Do I just tell them that or is there a way to tell them more direct or professional?
I would build a relationship with them (if you haven't already) and share a formal sponsor pitch deck explaining the ask and the sponsor benefits.

Hi Amber Melanie, thanks for the great content in your channel! I'm currently living in Indonesia and contributing for a Non-profit which gives financial help for poor kids to have access to study through a program called "Adoption at a distance", where anyone can "adopt" a kid and not only support them to study, but keep in contact with them throughout the year via letters,etc.
Up until now our sponsors are mainly individual people or families.
Do you think we could get corporate sponsorship as well?
I definitely do think companies could make good sponsors for a program like that - especially right now when people are looking for ways to get involved remotely during the pandemic!

It's not unheard of. As for leads, you might try some internet searches for companies who sponsor international programs!

Can I create a non-profit in the US and work in another country/countries and still get sponsors and grants and so forth? How would that work?
That is probably determined on a sponsor by sponsor basis. Each sponsor or grant foundation will have its own rules and requirements so I would say start by researching which align with your cause, then review their eligibility criteria.

I'm so glad the videos are helpful! As for your question -- I would say you partially answered yourself! For a sponsor for a new tractor - why not reach out to tractor companies? :) Maybe they would donate, loan, or discount one. Alternatively, I'd target companies who serve animals in other ways (food, care items, etc.)
