You should add a small stained glass window in the space above the bathroom door, or an etched design glass window. How cool would that look? You could also add a wood enclosure around the sink pipes in the bathroom. You’ve done a great job so far!👍😊

I've been a subscriber since the beginning. It's been wonderful to watch the progress of the build and all of the changes in your life over the last 3 years. Rodrigo, I'm sure you've just experienced the most incredible Christmas of your life in Germany. Beautiful country, beautiful traditions and beautiful people. I hope you got to see and experience your first snow too! I'm sure Freddie's familiy loved haveing you, introducing you to German customs and finally getting to know your wonderful sweet self in person. Have a wonderful New Years and a safe trip home. You've come a long way from that little A frame treehouse made out of sheet metal. You will get there, especially now since you have Freddie to help. Rodrigo, - you have come incredibly far with finishing up the the build lately and having Freddy in your life has speeded up the process. You are great together and the house will look fantastic when finished. You know the saying: "Rome was not build in one day". Your house is also a big project and big projects need time. You are a great couple together and I hope the two of you have found ever lasting love and happiness. Take care of one another. That's the most important thing in life.

I had stopped watching and unsubscribed. It became to monotonous for me. However, I saw a video with Freddie in it and I really enjoy her. She is super kind and caring. I subscribed again and spent the past two weeks watching all of the past videos with Freddie in them. She really adds to this channel and I'm happy Rod has this special person in his life. She's such a HUGE integral part and impact to Rod, the animals, the build and design and everything on Lola's Farm. Congratulations to you both and now I can say I look forward to more videos. ❤
I noticed that you moved the hinges on your fridge to the right side. Nice. Now raise your beautiful big stove up to line up with the counter. Several people suggested that when you installed it. It will add one more finishing touch to the kitchen. Something to do on a rainy day later on. Looking forward to video from Germany.

You have a lovely house. Even though it’s not complete, I can imagine it being completed. The lovely scenery is what makes everything worth it. I can imagine the deck outside, it’s going to be beautiful.
My dad is an electrician so is my husband. But my dad got a job in the city where a man wanted solar removed from his house. My dad said sure but can I keep the solar . The man told him yes. Then when we bought our homestead my dad gave us the solar set up. I wish for you to be so lucky and be gifted a house solar set up. Anything can happen. Miracles happen all the time. Hopefully soon you will be blessed with solar set up. Leslye

I have been watching since the start, the progress is amazing you will get there. I have been investing in our house remodelling for the last 7 years doing it our own. It is so rewarding to see the changes. Freddie is just a perfect addition to Lola's farm.

Looking good you guys. Might need to check on sealing the grout in the shower again. Looks like a bit of a black mold issue is beginning to develop at the top. I'm so proud of all of your hats work. I've been a follower since you first set up your own channel separate from K&J. I'm amazed at your growth and progress over the past few years, Rodrigo! Everything is looking so good. I know it's slow when your living in the home your working on, my husband and I have did that. But it is such a great feeling when you are finished and see all your hard work is beautiful and you can now enjoy and be so proud of what you accomplished. Also you are so very appreciative of everything!! There is a bonus also, you will find you become so much closer and understanding of each other as you work together and figure out things together and it will stay with you forever. We had 57 years together but in 2020 I lost my best friend , the love of my life to cancer. I have so many sweet and beautiful memories that get me through these lonely days without him. One day I will join him and never again part. But for now I do enjoy your video's and relive our moments of building our home and all the other wonderful days we had through your video's. Love and many years of happy days are wished for you.

You have a lot to be proud of! However, I would recommend adding a “P” trap to your bathroom sink (as well as the kitchen sink if the drain is plumbed the same way). They will help seal sewer gases from making their way up your drains.

Great bathroom now ! Just missing 2 small furnitures in white each with a door. To fix next to each other on top of the toilet. So you can hide paper-roll and cleaning products, and towels on the other side 😀

When you took us on a tour of it, I could just imagine what it will look like - even more stunningly beautiful - when you two are finished building it all the way out! Congratulations on having one of the most beautiful places on the planet to live and call home! Each morning you'll sip fresh coffee together, that we know is the very best in the whole wide world, while watching the sunrise and planning your day. Then every evening after dinner, you'll sit on your balconey and together watching that beautiful sky in all the glorious colors of the sunset right in front of your eyes. You'll smile as you think about your warm bed in your gorgeous house there on Lola's Farm, as it welcomes you, your family, and your friends into it's heart and warmth! Freddie, your dress is so very pretty & Rodrigo is hilarious with his choice of words... his clothes are 'tucked in the corner' 😊 I thank you for the home tour and my favorite thing overall is the full window wall in your upstairs even though I love each space for different reasons it is all coming together beautifully 💙

Instead of a library under the stairs you should consider a closet on the tallest part for hanging with disappearing pullout drawers for extra blankets, winter clothing etc. on the slanted part. There are many examples on youtube. I would insulate the upstairs to make it more pleasant. There you should add an entire wall of cabinets & include a very small place to hang things. Most clothing like sweaters & jeans can easily be folded or rolled for space saving ideas.

Rodrigo, you were right the first time. You built the glass wall, and the glass workers installed the windows. You two have done a beautiful job building your home.
You have accomplished so much! I love the cozy atmosphere and think you should seriously consider adding a small wood burning fireplace or wood burning stove for those cold nights.
Add a laundry chute down to the laundry room. It is basically a box tube that you put the laundry into on the second floor. It falls down the tube to the first floor. When you open the door, you can pull out the laundry to go into the washing machine. You don't need to store the laundry upstairs in a basket that you then need to haul down the stairs to wash.
The stairs currently turn 90degrees at the landing. Make the landing bigger and turn the stairs 180degrees, so they don't come down into the living room, but come down into the hallway. That way you can make the living space of the living room bigger. Rodrigo can reuse the bottom part of the steps.... just cut them off and reposition them.
Also, do you have heat??? Maybe you should get a wood stove added into the house? Heating the downstairs is going to do a lot for the upstairs in the cold months.
Trade/buy the nomadic movements “stained” saunas wood they cannot use and incase your dinning room wall/walls. Cozy wooden vibes. Material not wasted and they can get a little of their money back to buy new boards.
Love it I think you're going to need to build the second bedroom for when you have visitors

Although we have our roof covered with LG Solar panels in North Central Georgia, we found it was considerably cheaper to have our backup generator run off 300 lb propane tank & propane generac generator rather than by Lithium Batteries. Our $10k propane generator can run the 2700 square ft house for 3-5 days. A $10k Lithium battery backup would only have run the house for 8-12 hours.
They have had issues getting propane during strikes/protests and had to buy some on the black market during those times. Eventually it would be good for them to get a solar system like Jordan and Kaylee.
You both should be so proud of all you have accomplished. Freddie you English is very good. I tried to learn another language and found it very difficult.

I've been watching the channel from the beginning and I have enjoyed everything that you have done as well now that Freddy is with you help as much as she can. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.

i wonder if the solution for your sleeping area is to do some welding - to make a free-standing "loft" bed (maybe with its own built-in ladder) that also has framing around the top (like an antique Chinese "opium bed") where you can hang fabric to shut out some of the light - in which case it can go against the wall in front of the big window, where you can push the fabric toward the solid wall and have a view not only of the volcano, but from one more additional "story" higher up! i guess the finishing touch would be a long bark-free log attached to one corner of the frame which Roger can use to climb up into the bed, since he probably cannot learn to use a vertical steel ladder! with no bark on it so that you won't have the mess in the house from him shredding the bark every time he climbs up or down this "indoor tree".
i suppose the only other finishing touch might be a square tray hung from small ropes in the corners which you could use with a 2-pulley system as a "dumbwaiter" to move food and drinks and other items up and down to and from the bed loft.
it's sure is fun to dream things up!

Hard work is paying off. The structure is most intense and now the amenities are the best of the project because of choosing your design. Great job Freddie and Rodrigo. You should put small wood shelves above the stove for your spices and hang up some utensils. Freddie is a chef and a gift to the homestead.

Your A-Frame is coming along nicely. You have come a long way, baby. Thank you for the tour. I think you should install a couple wood burning stoves. Maybe in the living room down stairs and another upstairs. It will keep the place nice and warm during the cold, raining and windy months. The only advice is to build a cabinet under the bathroom sink for cleaning items.
I am sure you get a lot of advice and recommendations. And maybe have heard this one, but I truly believe that your kitchen would look even better if you held the shelves up with some decorative corbels or something similar like decorative iron corbels. Would look great ❤️ and also GREAT job on everything y’all are rocking it out, can’t wait to see it completed

For the upstairs storage issue...I would love to see a wooden built in (lower cabinet) going the entire span of the far wall upstairs. It would be a stunning feature that would look clean, sleek and modern... and just think of all that storage!
Rod, Have you shown your home to your Mom yet? I would be so pleased if I were your Mom. You guys are doing great! And your home is amazing. I was thinking the entire wall upstairs could be closets and shelves. Its a challenging shape to work with but you must have either storage there or an additional bedroom could be added on in a few years. Its coming along so nice. What a beautiful place you have. Also, I know you said Library, but you could also have a storage under the stairs. Just a thought.
