      Hi,
      We haven't worked with blueberry plants in our lab yet, so we don't have a developed protocol for the same. However, you can try searching the internet, you will find many research papers mentioning the protocol that you can use.

    Hey what's your stance on BA / BAP? The content creator from PlantsinJars had made a comment in some videos of her that BA is not considered safe because its synthetic. I know the MSDS sheet has safety precautions for it, but should hobbyists actively avoid it? Would touching media that has PGRs be harmful?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  5 місяців тому +1

      Here's what Francisco says: "That would be a personal opinion. It's like eating only organic products. Synthetic PGRs are preferred in tissue culture because they are heat resistant. Natural PGRs are usually not heat stable and must be added to the media after sterilization. This means you have to filter, sterilize, and add them to the media after cooling to 55°C. All these steps must be done inside the laminar flow hood."

    Can you use/add the IBA and/or BA directly to soil media to help with roots or shoots development? If yes, how much?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  23 дні тому +1

      Yes, you can use IBA (indole-3-butyric acid) and BA (benzyladenine) directly in soil media to promote root or shoot development. However, it's crucial to use them in appropriate concentrations and consider the specific plant species and growth stage.

    Can you explain about the dilution of the hormone stock solution? The hormone is sold in powder form, measured in grams, but the protocol recommends using it in ml. What is the concentration of the stock solution?
    Do you use any solvent to dilute the powdered hormone to make the stock solution?

    Thanks for your video. I have a question about GA3. Do you add GA3 into medium before or after autoclave?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  9 місяців тому +1

      GA3 is heat labile and should be filter sterilized and added to cooled MS media. So, add the hormone (using the filter sterilization technique) after the autoclaved media is cooled down.
