Holy shit you did it. One minute in and I'm already laughing, escaping the first trap and then carefully walking back around the ledge was a hilarious FU to this monster of a map. Overall I think this map is very diverse and is the perfect representation of Sunder in one level. Cramped fights, platforming, caco clouds, the grand building reminding of maps to come, and even the unexpected "house of horrors" in the middle - the Gnarled King has it all (the only thing it lacks is Hive mothers). After the extremely unwelcoming start I expected it to be the bitchiest map I ever played, but it got a bit better, some of the fights I'd even call easy, and in the grand building Insane_Gazebo even allows you to cheat and clean the next room full of pinkies through a window, must've been mapping on his birthday or something. In the end I was deeply impressed. Every cloud fight (3 of them!) was a major bitch though, so probably the second worst map after MAP19 lol. Huge respect for this run and the whole Sunder series as a whole.

Absolutely amazing that you uv max these beasts of sunder. And love the strategies you find to make some fights relatively easier like the first big indoor fight by skipping it and killing the archviles first.
Tactical genius. Never would have thought it was possible to get this far without ripping your hair out with out dying. He’s a true doom god. This is just icing on the cake…on top of all of his achievements. Well done.
Never saw anything so formidable, awe-inspiring and yet depressing like Sunder's maps 11, 15, 31, 32 and the rest of the updated release - in any game I played in my life ever. And I mean that in a good and artistic way.
Seeing this….now I think this mad lad may actually max map 19 😳 something I didn’t think was possible honestly. But this is why he’s considered a god among Doom players….
What a big map! All in one single segment as well! So many ways it could have gone wrong, with being killed in the fights and with falling into one of those inescapable pits (especially in the middle of rooms full of monsters). Yet you made it without choking the whole run. I can't imagine what would've happened if you died 10 minutes from the exit.
I just can't get my head over the map structure. Not only this one but all of the newer Sunder maps. I created a few maps already but they're nowhere close comparing to these. The amount of time to create this map must be insane.
I appreciate how the very last Baron got punched out, taking a little extra time just for style points. Similarly, I'm thankful for the brief pause at the end to take one last look at the city - this WAD is a work of art.
I dont think people realize how hard this (and next level) last figths are without doing the trick at 1:29:41 And the strategic monsters placement at 1:30:18 and 1:34:28. Its literally impossible to do that single segment INMO, is there even a video of someone doing that without exploiting the monsters AI single segment?
@@Legatron17 Sure, on the first time 1:29:41 he is gaining acceleration so he can do a line skip, meaning that the square at the midle of the room eill close the huge door south, he avoids that by doing some genius cleaver movement. Then at the second timming 1:30:18 he is going into a corner, making all monsters mobe to the player, because AI is programmed this way, making him capeable of shooting the monsters from that cage. Third time 1:34:28 is the same principle as second time, exploiting monsters AI. It can seem very dull, but trust me, that fight is borderline impossible without that. Genius.
@@marcelopardo4791 Thanks for explaining that. I always thought that room was the scariest, it would be near impossible to kill all those cacos in that catwalk space.
