me, too. my favorite cartoon. remember the gangster cats that wore the Zuit Suits and the Fedoras? my favorite episodes because they always had jazz and dancing in those speak easys.. Must not have had much code on television cartoons back in the 50s.
Paramount,CBS,and Olive Films needs to remaster these classic TerryToons Mighty Mouse cartoons and put them out on DVD and Blu-Ray along with TerryToons’ other stars,Heckle and Jeckle and other TerryToons stars such as The ultra-popular Gene Deitch era from 1957-1960,Dinky Duck, and Deputy Dawg
I really liked this cartoon is that it stands out from most Mighty Mouse cartoons because in the cartoon,a Cat tells how he became so afraid of mice when Mighty Mouse first came along and became the fear of cats everywhere.
I kinda first watched Mighty Mouse, when it was aired as part of a syndicated package, Mighty Mouse and Friends, that was briefy aired on my independent station WDCA 20 in Washington, D.C./Maryland area in the earlier 90’s, from 1990 to 1991, then on the USA Network's Cartoon Express from 1993 to 1994.
Originally released in August 1951. Directed by Mannie Davis; story by Tom Morrison; music by Phil Scheib. Dayton Allen provides the voices of the chain-smoking "scaredy cat" and "Our Hero's" foster father. Key animation by Jim Tyer. This "origin" story was also retold on a 1952 RCA Bluebird children's record, "Mighty Mouse's First Adventure" (adapted by Martin Weldon and narrated by Todd Russell).
After Bakshi series - which barely scratched the surface in terms of reviving of the Terrytoon characters - the Terrytoon library itself could only be seen on the USA Network. USA exclusively licensed them for a 1 year period (1993-1994/95), where they could mainly be found as part of an omnibus series USA Cartoon Express (which essentially ran only the Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle theatricals and the Deputy Dawg shorts). A syndicated package, Mighty Mouse and Friends, that was briefly availiable to unaffiliated stations frm 1990 to 1991/92. This was where I was finally able to see a good chunk of Terrytoons from all eras of that studios add I was hooked.
+Karyl Miller It would be interesting to have such a twist since the Mighty Mouse cartoons were so predictable; a cat chases some mice, Mighty Mouse resuces them from the cat.
He was called Supermouse at first, and wore blue instead of yellow. This was decided to be too derivative and so they started experimenting with his outfit and changed his name, even re-dubbing the already-recorded shorts that called him Supermouse.
Yep- Paul Terry decided, by early 1944, that it was futile to keep the name of HIS character when there was ANOTHER "Super Mouse" featured in comic books.....so, with "The Wreck of the Hesperus", released in February 1944, "Super Mouse" became "MIGHTY MOUSE".
Wouldn't it be interesting if there was a MIGHTY MOUSE cartoon in which our hero came to the rescue of a cat who was being bullied and terrorized by other cats? How about a real twist? A cartoon where Mighty Mouse comes to the rescue of a cat being bullied and terrorized by some mice.
so who was the green taloned person in the conic hat who dropped off the baby? How come? what was the relationship to the mouse? A lizard scientist? A very short witch? a magician? Whaaaaaaat?????
Am picky here but.. is it rghtful that the mice are doing the same to cats what they did to mice before mighty mouse came? hm. Okay. am putting too much into this I guess

"Here I come to save the day"......that means that Mighty Mouse, is on his Way!
It kind've looks like Mickey Mouse's cousin. I use watch Mighty Mouse when I was a kid back then.
Dayton Allen provides the voice of the scaredy cat cat who tells the tale of Mighty Mouse's origins.
I really liked this cartoon is that it stands out from most Mighty Mouse cartoons because in the cartoon,a Cat tells how he became so afraid of mice when Mighty Mouse first came along and became the fear of cats everywhere.
They should do a Mighty Mouse 🐁 movie 🍿
it's in the works but they coud say no to as well.
Difficult, because both CBS and Viacom own the Terrytoon franchise and next year FOX will officially be owned by Disney.

In MOUSE FROM ANOTHER HOUSE, an episode of MIGHTY MOUSE: THE NEW ADVENTURES in 1987, MM was adopted by a kindly squirrel couple.
Really liked Jim Tyer’s Animation at the beginning
My Favorite Episode of Mighty Mouse "The Cat's Tale"
Originally released in August 1951. Directed by Mannie Davis; story by Tom Morrison; music by Phil Scheib. Good info. Thanks!
You're welcome.
Tyer's animation style is truly notorious, specially in this cartoon.
It was also on a three disk View-Master package in the 1970's.
I do wonder if Mannie Davis retired from animation in 1963
Me to the Cat " You'll what ?"
Awesome Mighty Mouse
He reminds me of mickey mouse they are my two all time favorite mouse

Oh MY Gosh! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
So it's the witch that creates Mighty Mouse.
That is debatable, as over the years, as Mighty Mouse has had different versions of his origin.
the origin of the mouse.
I feel so bad for this cat in the cartoon after being put through hell by being terrified by the other mice thanks to Mighty Mouse. Poor guy.
For a "blast from the past" watch this then "Sky King" and "Fury"! All my favorites way back when! Thanks UA-cam!
I feel so old now. LOL
I Liv's these
You couldn't show this on TV today.
Which origin do you prefer: this, the Super Mouse one, or the MM: The New Adventures one?
black and white originals (i guess they were black and white; our t.v. was black and white so how would i know any whoo.)
Actually brian, that would be interesting. It would certainly be a breath of fresh air.
+Karyl Miller It would be interesting to have such a twist since the Mighty Mouse cartoons were so predictable; a cat chases some mice, Mighty Mouse resuces them from the cat.
what would be interesting?
The mouse version of superman. super strength, faster than a speeding bullet, can fly. he's like a mix between mickey mouse and superman.
He was called Supermouse at first, and wore blue instead of yellow. This was decided to be too derivative and so they started experimenting with his outfit and changed his name, even re-dubbing the already-recorded shorts that called him Supermouse.
Nathan Karr Really? Interesting.

Ralph bakshi already did that in the new adventures of mighty mouse.
This was the,"updated,"origin of Mighty Mouse,as opposed to the original,"Super Mouse,"origin story.
good video
2:32 Kids! Don't smoke at home!
And, then little baby mighty mouse was just born... eh?
Looove that baby cry
Directed by Mannie Davis
Mighty mouse was the ultimate as whopper.
so who was the green taloned person in the conic hat who dropped off the baby? How come? what was the relationship to the mouse? A lizard scientist? A very short witch? a magician? Whaaaaaaat?????
Andy Kaufman keeps coming to mind whenever I see Mighty Mouse.
nice meme
Could someone sample Mighty Mouse's zooming sound?
Why would an ugly witch leave a baby mouse on somebody's doorstep?
Beats me. I don't question cartoon logic.
Could've been an experiment
Maybe the experiment was that witches could be ugly on the outside, but kindly on the inside?
She could of gone to Hogwarts you know.
I cant believe that I used to like this cartoon as a kid ...
Mighty Mouse is in a comic book published by a company called Dynamite Entertainment since June 7th, 2017.
touch my cat and ill dose you good
