Nightdive Studios, I just love what you're doing for us, nostalgic gamers. YOU ARE THE BEST!
Hey keep feeding us all this good stuff!
These guys are the best!
They are the apex revivalists of FPS games that DESERVE the praise of new gens!
Man if there's any chance that Turok can make a comeback then I'm all for it.
Nope Disney owns turok since before the 2008 Turok and based off that new Turok game during covid, where it had nothing to do with the original games, it's safe to say it's not coming back outside of remasters.
@@2023PerfectDark God is dead, everything I a lie...
@@2023PerfectDark Universal is the Owner of Turok now. They bought it from Disney and that small mobile game that came out a little bit ago was the result of a contest they held to make a small game based off their owned properties. There's a chance for something to be done but it's just a matter of who's willing to make the move I feel.
Disney owns it, most likely won't make anything good of it.
They should just do a Far Cry game with Dinosaurs.
Really hope you guys are able to remaster and bring back No One Lives Forever one day. Such a brilliant series thats been stuck in IP limbo for far too long.
That and avp2
They nearly got close to doing it but it got stuck in legal limbo.
@Farcry223 I know it sucks, hopefully one day we'll see that and AVP2 getting the remastered treatment they deserve
Same!
If you want to play the game go buy a PlayStation 2 and a copy of the ps2 port
You absolute, unadulterated madlads.
YOU ACTUALLY DID IT! 23 years after randomly seeing this game in a store and getting it, not even knowing it existed... IT RETURNS!
Awesome maybe one day we'll get a Turok Evolution remaster.
And maybe a Turok 2008 remaster, too 🤞🏻
Rage Wars!
THATS WHAT IM SAYING AND RAGE WARS AS WELL I WILL DIE IN PEACE LOL!!!
Hopefully. Evolution was 80% of a great game. The rough edges and unfinished nature brought it down in some places, so a remaster would do it a lot of favours.
And I don't know of it will be possible but maybe a turok 4 will be great to since turok 3 ends on a cliffhanger
I waited a while for this to happen. 5 years was definitely worth the wait.
you mean 6 and a half
@Phantron you mean 23 years
hm theoretically lol @@SoulbentAnime
@Phantron well I mean yeah lol it never got a PC port since 2000. I can't believe the game is that old jeez
Five years?? I played in n64 24 years ago...lfmao
FINALLY! The original Turok trilogy is now complete!
Turok: Rage Wars is still missing
@@sinned130 True, true. But the core set is finished, now.
@@sinned130 online multiplayer would be interesting
I feared this would never come
@@sinned130 Rage Wars is a spin-off. The core Turok games have all been remastered.
I love Nightdive Studios. 😍
yeah the fact that they remaster games, that they are underrated as well, like Shadow Man is mind blowing to me. I would love to see them remaster Gauntlet Legends from the N64.
They are the only developers I look at consistently on Steam now. I'm so glad they give these old games the attention they deserve. It isn't just that they are remastering games. Lots have tried and failed at that....but they do a damn good job at it and give them the care they deserve. Thank God it fell in their hands.
@@jari56ify There's so many games that Nightdive Studios can remaster like
Alien Trilogy
Die Hard Trilogy
Evil Dead games (Hail to the King, A Fistful of Boomstick and Regeneration)
Predator: Concrete Jungle
Aliens versus Predator 1 & 2
Gauntlet Legends
Turok: Rage Wars
Turok: Evolution
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Apocalypse
Shadow Man: 2econd Coming
Syphon Filter
Medal of Honour
Einhander
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness
Winback: Convert Operations
The World is Not Enough
Daikatana
Honestly never expected this to happen, given that the first two games had the existing PC versions to work off of, whereas this must have been a much more involved undertaking. But I couldn't be happier to be wrong. Thank you for putting in the time and effort needed to revive this overlooked classic.
can you elaborate on that, was it never on pc? only on playstatoin?
@@CRF250R1521no n64 only.
Can we get Turok Rage Wars to complete that Nintendo 64 era?
@@crazyluigi6664 That would be really cool. I have Rage Wars on the N64 but the controls make it almost unplayable
@@CRF250R1521did you really said playstation? 🤦
literally crying tears of joy right now
Outstanding! I've been hoping for Turok 3 ever since you remastered 1 and 2. Thank you for bringing back so many of my favorite 90s games, Nightdive.
Any chance of any of these newer releases coming to the Atari VCS?
when did they remake the first 2 games? and where can i get them on steam?
@@CRF250R1521 They didn't. They remastered them. Remakes and remasters aren't the same thing...lol
@@SlasherIncorporated Hopefully they'll be able to remaster Turok Rage Wars also.
I'm beyond happy this is finally happening.
Waited for what feels like an eterinity for Turok 3.
Thank you nightdive for giving me yet another day 1 purchase.
This gives me hope Turok evolution might actually get completed one day aswell.
God knows evolution had promise and iguana had great plans for it.
But we all know how it all panned out in the end... Horrible.
So please remaster/restore Turok evolution so we finally can have that game as it was intended all those years ago.
Love you nightdive!! ❤❤❤
TBH, considering that Turok Evolution killed Iguana and Acclaim and killed the franchise until its revival by Nightdive, I think Evolution should remain RIP. 🪦
If they rerelease Turok Evolution they need to consider reworking and balancing it, essentailly making it a better game than what we got. I played it recently and oh boy does it not hold up, not even when it released for its time...
...aaand Rage Wars!!!😊👍🏻
A Rage Wars remaster is a possibility, but Evolution? No chance! Even if an Evolution remaster was made better quality, the sheer name of Turok Evolution brings negative memories to those who played it before.
@@caileanoerkvitz4157thats right. But if they rework the story, give it better gameplay, another villain than tobias bruckner, and overal make it a much better game, they can possible name it Turok 4. BUT I hate that game for what they did to Tall’Settb his character model is awefull and how he got in the lost land, jeeezzz. They can much better make a Turok 4 with their new engine with Tall’Sett and skip this one all the way.
Thank you Nightdive Studios ❤ Can't wait to play the remaster for this. This game was ahead of its time on the N64, I hope that people realize now what a underrated gem this was, when they play your remastered version. Thank you for bringing these classics back to life. ❤
Is it much different gameplay wise from Turok 2? I got the Turok remasters and had a hard time with that one cause of the endless maze-like levels and repetitive gameplay.
@@chasethecolors I haven't played Turok 3, but watched multiple playthroughs. The game followed the trend of Half-Life, so it was more linear and scripted, and also shorter with less "filler". If you didn't like the big, confusing maps and backtracking from the first two games, you'll probably prefer Turok 3.
@@chasethecolors it is definitely less of a maze and more of a Half-life like game, with some great Turok 1 vibes.. Not as good as the first one (in my opinion at least) and very cluncky, but definitely a good game to try!
Had Turok 1 and 2 on the N64, but never played this one. Will have to check it out.
Same
Can't wait to experience this for the first time when November rolls around! Nightdives remasters have made me a die-hard Turok fan.
GODAMM YOU GUYS ROCK !!!
the gods of nightdive giving us the gold of the old days, just as we allways wanted, THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS ❤️❤️❤️❤️
this is my favorite studio/game dev/ company of these days
Owned Turok 1 & 2 on Nintendo 64 and never played the 3rd one. Now i finally will❤❤❤
HOLY GOD!!!! I’m buying this thing on EVERY PLATFORM. I love you guys so much!! I wanna invest and be a part of the team.
and to all the onlookers.. this was a maybe 60% done game. This thing took WORK. Well beyond our understanding. Night dive have surpassed Rockstar, surpassed valve and even rival Capcom. They are gods at this point
You guys are by far my favorite devs out there next to ghost ship games. Turok 1, turok 2, quake 1 and quake 2, now soon to be turok 3? Y'all are bringing back my childhood, keep it up.
And Shadowman !
@@mipha_manuShadowman 2?!
Nightdive.. you guys are the best. Quickly becoming my favourite video game studio.

Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Aliens vs Predator 1 & 2
Alien Trilogy
Die Hard Trilogy
Evil Dead games from the early 2000's (Hail to the King, A Fistful of Boomstick and Regeneration)
Predator: Concrete Jungle
Shadow Man: 2econd Coming

Castlevania 64
Cold Fear
Thank you so much guys for doing this, the Turok series is one of my favorites from the N64 era. I played them everyday when i was a kid in the 90s.
MY JAW LITERALLY DROPPED TO THE FLOOR
Turok 3 is getting a remaster? Awesome! 😊
I remembered how much Turok 3 impressed me back in the day as a kid, especially with the face tracking and lip sync in the cutscenes. Can’t wait to go through it again.
Star Wars and this now??? Damn, this is the perfect time to be ALIVE... :D
Keep remastering these old games. Never stop. You guys are the best because you care about old games.
Keep em coming nightdive
Wow 🤩 can’t wait to purchase!!
Cool, I guess.
The real question is: Rage Wars when?
No way i freaking predicted this one too! Thank you for completing the trilogy!
I saw it coming when they had turok 3 as a badge for multiplayer in the quake 2 remaster, knew it was on its way lol
thats badass@@megacitymedia2047
It really wasn't that hard to predict...lol
I was deeply impressed when Turok 3 came out on the N64 back then. Even if the framerate was grotesque low but the facial animations were absolutely impressive. However it was damn near unplayable on the N64. It really pushed the hardware to the absolute limits. Thank god i can FINALLY finish this game with Mouse and Keyboard controls. Thank you Nightdive!!
I think I'm in love with every single one of you in Nightdive. Honestly, doing these 3 games is enough justice and I can die happy, but a Rage Wars online remake would just be the icing on top of the cake.
Amazing work.
Rage wars online would be perfect
Can't forget about evolution
AWESOME! Thank you Nightdive Studios. This is a day 1 purchase!
So happy this is back, hopefully you guys also eventually remaster Turok Evolution as well. Thanks so much for keeping preservation intact.
Finally. I'll buy the whole trilogy when this is out.
Tetralogy, actually, if we’re talking about ALL the N64 games. There’s still a multiplayer focused entry called Rage Wars still stuck on the big N’s first polygonal-based console, so it’s not quite “whole” yet.
Damn, this looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait to play it in 60fps. Childhood dream. Thank you Nightdive Studios!
Amazing? It doesn't even look like a remaster lol just a port with minor upgrades
Hey guys at Nightdive, I recently bought your remaster of Quake 2 for the Switch and I must say you guys are the absolute best in the business. Your work on Quake 1 and Power Slave is beyond phenomenal. If it ever goes on sale I'm definitely getting the OG Turok. Haha. Can't wait to play this one either. 😊😊😊
I'm literally in tears - the Turok games have been MY shooters - and this was probably my favourite one.
I thought due to N64 exclusivity there will be some licensing issue going on, but here we are!!!😱😱😱😱😱😱
You guys are the best thing to happen to N64 games.
Man Nightdive is killing it with these remasters. Looks great!
Nice, looking forward to this. Are you guys planing Turok Evolution next?
I had lost hope this one would ever get remastered, it's on my wishlist and I'm eagerly awaiting it's release. The texture details look really good too. if the previous entries are to be any indication it will be nothing short of a top tier remaster, excellent work nightdive studios!
Yes!! Whole trilogy is here!
Will we ever get a resolution to the cliffhanger?
No...because this sequel sucks. Trust me.
WDYM?
depends on if the developers feel like making a fourth one and/or how well the turok-games will sell
@@morphix7212 There was a 4th one that gamers and time forgot: Turok Evolution.
@@StillTheVoid you mean oblivion or evolution? I’ve played both.
"Beware Oblivion is at hand"
Nightdive, you are the utter best and you do not disapoint! I hope the waiting was worth it cause I can't wait anylonger to play Turok 3 with mouse control, 60 fps and true online death match!
Literally been waiting for this for so long. One of my fav n64 games, the bugs and glitches were bursting at the seams lol, but I loved it so much. So excited to give this a go!
Great news. This completes the OG Turok trilogy. Please, ND, give us Rage Wars, the best multiplayer Turok experience. Hope you guys do this. Take your time, as long as the team is willing to put out Rage Wars remaster.
I can't believe I worked on a game that is now getting a remaster. Guess I can't wait either. I always wanted to play this on PC just like you guys in the comments. I only played it on our Nintendo PC devkits when the game was in testing, but I never got to play the whole thing on PC in final form. I did a lot of 3d and assembly of the introduction in-game cinematics favored heavily in this trailer. The guy who was supposed to make all the robot council heads didn't complete his work before going on leave so I rushed and did a little overtime finishing his assets so that I could assemble the final cinemas. I remember that in-game editor tool was 85% bubble-gum and duct tape. Sometimes, you'd just have to start from scratch re-assembling 3d assets to make a cinematic that would even play without glitches. Imagine starting over the cinema building process just on the *hopes* that this time it works and you don't start over a 3rd or 4th time. I wonder how it was for the Nightdive studios guys working on these.
Sounds like it was pretty rough, but it's cool to see that you're still interested in this game. I'm certainly looking forward to it, too.
This is way long overdue. Finally, I can fully relive my childhood.
Rage Wars after this, please!!
Please remaster Turok Evolution. I know not everybody loved it, but I really enjoyed it as a child and it holds a special place on my heart.
Nightdive does good stuff.
Dear Nightdive Studios!
Thanks to you, I can relive what I had as a kid when these games came out.
Just 1 month ago I was thinking how lucky I would be if you remastered Turok 3, which I never got to play. I loved the first and second Turok.
Way to go Nightdive Studios!
You guys are amazing, your work on these classic games is invaluable. Please keep refreshing our childhood memories with these remasters, I buy them all. The Quake 2 remaster was absolutely incredible.
I love how Quake 2 had some little touch-ups that keep even seasoned players on their toes, with regards to the enemy behaviour 😁 It was such a nice surprise! It truly is a masterpiece, of a masterpiece.
Dream come true. Thank you ND!
Nightdive Studios bringing back all the stuff that we love
WOW. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW LONG WE'VE WAITED FOR THIS. WE NEED TUROK RAGE WARS AFTER WITH ONLINE SUPPORT AND THEN MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. THANK YOU NIGHTDIVE
Years after Turok 1-2 got remastered, you guys remastered finally Turok 3!! Can’t wait for you guys to remaster Turok: Evolution & Rage Wars and Re-Release the 2008 game that was forbidden by Disney
N64 games you should do ports for:
- Duke Nukem Zero Hour
- Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness
- Perfect Dark (with netplay and co-op)
- 007: The World Is Not Enough
PS2/GC:
- Timesplitters 1-2
PC:
- Daikatana
- No One Lives Forever 1/2
They've tried with NOLF, but those others are not gonna happen.
And Turok Rage Wars!
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion? They finally got my chance.
I love Nightdive Studios so much, they've been bringing back literally all my favorite retro FPS games and remastering them perfectly. I really hope someday they'll get a chance to fix the horrendous Blood 2: The Chosen, especially since they're now owned by Atari who owns the Blood IP.
i really hope a blood 2 remastered will be in the works in the future
Awesome!! The Nintendo 64 trilogy complete!!!
So glad to see Turok 3 is finally happening! Any chance after this, and presumably Rage Wars, we might see a remaster of South Park 64? Since it also runs on the Turok engine.. The split-screen multiplayer is a lot of fun!
Let's not forget about Evolution. It has the most potential.
This game added content while sacraficing the graphics of the previous game, I knew a remaster would be well worth it. Thank you very much!
I've been hoping to see this game on Switch for what feels like years! Can't wait to get the physical release with Limited Run!
I literally said to friends a few days ago that I wish I could play turok 3 again, nightdive once again bringing back the classics!
When I saw the announcements for this and Dark Forces today, I literally stood up, and had to take a walk. It was hard to process. I fucking love you guys at Nightdive. Please, please, please do something like this for Turok: Rage Wars in the future. I need my online Rage Wars matches!!
Awsome now Rage wars w online multiplayer!
This was the one Turok game I hadn't played. I loved Turok 2, and finally having a chance to play its sequel feels awesome!
The only thing I hate about this game is Adon's model.
Where the hell is my ivory white skinned alien babe? Why replace her with a human female?
MAN!!!! Thank you guys for existing, i loved the remasters of Turok and Turok 2, and since i never got to play Turok 3, i will finally be able to do it and see where the sotry went, and it looks much better than the few gameplays i've seen over youtube too of the original game. I wish you guys the best.
Dai Katana when??
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 good joke like it
@@Telesmana Well Daikatana on the Gameboy Color was actually pretty good compared to its original FPS counterpart so I wouldn't mind having that version see a re-release honestly.
The Turok 3 cutscenes (in-engine) with the character lips sync to their voice was MIND BLOWING to see at the time when it came out. I always did prefer Turok 2. But credits give where due, Turok 3 was ambitious. I did replay Turok 3 a few years ago on N64 and it was a little better than my memories led me to think. What I think makes it unique compared to the two previous games is that you can play as two characters, and each one present a different path to take (at least in some levels), also allowing you to discover new weapons.
There's also one particular thing they've done in Turok 3 that almost brought a tear to my eye when I played it back then, going from memory of my last playthrough I believe it happened in the 4th level. When it starts, if you look carefully you'd soon understand where you stand... if you played the first game. It's amazing what they've done with that stage in Turok 3. My only gripes with T3 were the enemies (nothing too interesting, felt less of a 'fantasy mixed with sci-fi' setting than in T1 or T2), the relatively short game (especially if you only play as one character instead of both), and the weapons were so-so, nothing too crazy.
However, it IS a fun game, overall. Some would say it was the best. I would simply categorize it as 'good'. A solid 7/10 for me. My all-time favorite will always be Turok 2, for me that's a simple 10/10, then I'd go with Turok 1, then Turok Evolution and, finally, Turok 3. And to be honest I don't dislike any one of them, they're all good for their own respective reasons. I never truly had the time nor the opportunity back then to play Rage Wars though. I think I did play it maybe once at a friend's place when he rented it, and he invited some friends to play with him but that was it. I'm really happy to see now that Turok 1, 2 and 3 are on PC; finally.
im glad you guys stayed on remastering these classics i grew up with turok 2 n64 but now i can play all 3 in pc
Finally !!!! Thanks you so much for this remaster ! ♥
I have so many fond memories of watching my older brother play this on N64.
Once in a while he’d even play through multiplayer death match with me and some bots.
Can’t wait to play this!
Aw yeah! I've been waiting for this for a LONG time. Thank you, Nightdive!
I've been waiting so long for this remaster.. I loved this one in particular because I played so much when I was younger..
HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!!!!!! Our dreams have finally come true. Just the one game we were expecting to come out as a remastered to conform the trilogy. Nightdive Studios, thank you so much for doing this. We, Turok fanatics are overwhelmed with emotions. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
You crazy engineers! I have been asking for this for so many years now, and I never gave up hope! I grew up with the original trilogy, and after purchasing the first two remasters several times on different plattforms, I can guarantee that I'll be picking up Turok 3 as well! Well done, nay, very well done. I still have the original trilogy on N64 btw, all three titles showcased very well what the 64 was truly capable of. The face animations and improved draw distance is a factor that always stood out to me with the third installment, among many other things, and watching it in this enhanced version makes me feel like a young teen all over again. Thank you!
YES! YES! YEEEESSSSS!
FINALLY!
Nightdive Studios ❤!!!
God, i lack words to express how happy i am right now.
To play Turok 3 on PC with mouse and keyboard it's a dream coming true.
Omg , Both Turok3 and Dark Forces!?!? And it's not even my bday, Thank you Nightdive!
Bring it on! The first two were amazing!
I thought this would be impossible. I'm beyond happy and REALLY cannot wait...!!
Nightdive has really been on a win streak this year! System shock, quake 2 and now turok 3!
I AM TUROK, man i'm so hyped, i just played Turok 1 and 2 a month ago and now this happens, Nightdive i love you guys!
Finally! After many years, the Trilogy is complete! Perhaps Rage Wars in a few years with Online?
I was literally just thinking a few days ago "when is Nightdive gonna do a Turok 3 Remaster"... and here we are. This made my day.
Some people say they're tired of remasters. But when a remastered game is from several decades ago rather then ones from only a few years ago then you see the necessity in remasters. There are still so many games that can benefit from this process i hope to see many more in the future.
*I literally seizured from the Epicosity of this Epicness I instantly went back to 1997 with the N64, Turok, the Playstation and FINAL FANTASY 7 infront of the square TV*
Nightdive should recieve some honorary award for outstanding contribution in gaming
I played both Turok games on PS4 and Switch, and N64. Somehow I missed out on Turok 3 20 years ago. I'm glad to see it getting good treatment. I'll be there.
I could have never imagined I’d ever own Turok 1-3 on my pc, amongst other gems they have remastered. These guys are basically preserving art!!!
Day one purchase. The first two brought back so many happy memories. Thank you, Nightdive Studios.
The best Turok game ever made! I have 1 and 2 remastered on PS4, but Shadows of Oblivion has way more of a developed story, and the objectives are clearer. Can't wait!
Thank you Nightdive studios for following my wish.
