Those Elvin Jones sticks are interesting. They feel extremely front-heavy to me, which demands a bit more deliberate control to articulate double and multiple strokes. I have found that switching to them for a portion of my pad practice has really tightened up my technique; other sticks seem easier to control after I use the EJ sticks. They also get a nice meaty full sound at very low dynamics. Also your new cymbal sounds fantastic! Cheers!

That’s an interesting take, it could be that elvin used the butt of his stick a lot so perhaps wanted a more front heavy stick but that’s just a thought. The only sticks I have that I could compare them to are pro mark forward 7as and I just find the Elvin ones are easier to play with. Delighted w my cymbal, thanks!
