I’m glad to see this is coming together . That fuel system looks like a pretty good deal hope it works great for you. I just can’t wait to see this all done.
Whenever you mount the back of the cab permanently get a couple of very low profile airbags and mount the back of your cab on are just like the semi trucks. You will deeply appreciate how much smoother and softer the ride will be inside your cab. This comes from a truck driver that's been on the road for 45 years
Parts are getting outrageous. Maybe they should consider adjusting budgets for everyone for the cost of parts lately. Seems like $1200 is a good deal for that system though, especially with the freebie tossed in. Guess when things get tight can always start selling some of those take off parts. Hopefully everyone is being honest like you at documenting monies spent. Maybe you can tell us all how they hold entries accountable next time you do your running tally. Would be interesting. Should be a contender at this rate for sure! Also loved the tip on the CL looking transmission rebuild, turned out looking brand new.
Hey Anthony, Shiny paint in the engine compartment just looks so much better than dirty, greasy, oily yuck, so money well spent ! The polished throttle body looks cool and adds that bling look to the engine just like the chrome on the breather caps on the rocker covers so again, money well spent ! That trans shifter really does look junky ! But are you going to see it when the cab is in place ? And like Rat Rod Bawb saz, it's a Rat Rod, who cares.
@@HardCoreFab Hey Anthony, don't sweat the comment, it was a little harsh. And I am no one to be talking like that. I have a couple things on my roadster that look a bit junky and I have no plans to change them.
I've found that using the VHT silver header paint and rattle can clear coat, replicates rally wheel silver. Also, driveshafts make excellent exhaust tubing. It's usually lighter too.
Love the build I’m starting a build with the same chassis I’ve learned a lot thank you for making the videos… if and when you go to rims and tire package please put that in a video I wanna do 22 Alcoa rims just not sure if spindle hubs need changed out and conversion on rear or what lol thanks
Sorry, wanted this to be a second comment because it’s a different subject than my other comment. Anyway, please keep us informed on that EFI you are going to run. I have an 84 chevy ramp truck that has a 454 in it that I would really like to put EFI on. I also have an offroad buggy I built with a 22R in it that EFI would be awesome on. Just a little 4 banger but EFI would be perfect!! But I haven’t done either yet because the cost is so high. And thanks again for the videos!
Dude that train really doesn't disrupt you on the video, I know from experience it's loud as hell in your shop but we still hear you just fine while the train is going by
Everyone has their own thoughts on that and that's the best part of building something. You can do what ever the hell you want and no one can stop you.
I've always gotten carried away on the engine compartments. It gives you bragging rights, no matter what the rest of the car looks like. And cleaning is just labor. Paint is cheaper than chrome. And it all makes it look like you care. EFI!!? WOW!! Now you have my attention... More....
I say count $0 for the flow masters !!! EVERYONE that does stuff like this has stuff lying around just for that reason….. to possibly use somewhere else!! They were just parts that came off a parts truck… $0!!!!! IMHO. In today’s prices, $5000 is a rediculous budget! The dollar is so weak that new trucks are over $100k!!!! How the *^%# are you supposed to build a vehicle on $5000??? Again… just MY opinion. As always, thanks for the videos!!
I hear what you are saying and it definitely makes it hard. On the flip side 5k budget is kinda fun. It equals the playing field and make you have to get creative.
@@HardCoreFab absolutely! But it’s just SO HARD to do that in this day! I bought a 39 dodge panel van to hopefully build for next years build off and even as bad shape as this van is, it still cost me $2500 to buy it. There goes half the budget! I don’t see me being able to build it for $5k. Maybe im just not that good? But anyway, thanks for your videos! I enjoy watching them and I learn a lot!! Please keep them going.
Excited, to see how the new fuel system works out!
Me too!
Im glad you are detailing the truck like you are cause I like that look on your rendition
She's commin along Anthony...
👍😎💯..👋 Julie..
Love the build! The detail made a big improvement under the hood.I can't wait to see the rest of the build.
I’m glad to see this is coming together . That fuel system looks like a pretty good deal hope it works great for you. I just can’t wait to see this all done.
Anthony I'm loving the build. I agree with you on the holley efi system. Got one 2 years ago, and I've had nothing but problems with it.

5 weeks RatStock2024 I’m ready to go just put some new tires on the trailer today ❤❤ Can’t wait the truck is coming together nicely.
HELL YEAH!!!!
trucks looking better and better! i like the Aces set up and the guys there seem to be good guys. looking forward to firing it up!!
Dude I love how you just go! It seams like your not over thing thing just have it. Beautiful work from tofield Alberta
Great Build keep the great work, can’t wait to see more.
Thanks a bunch!
The truck is coming along nicely 👍👍
Good video Anthony, liked some of the music when you were building the shifter ...
It definitely makes it hard. On the flip side 5k budget is kinda fun. It equals the playing field and make you have to get creative.
Looking good! That Aces looks sweet for 1200ish!
So far so good but we haven't been out of the shop yet so I'll keep you posted
Looking good Anthony. I think that Aces will work well on the build. Can't wait to hear it running!
Fingers crossed!
OMG that 4:54 with long tube headers must sound absolutely breathtaking with those Mufflers where you put them
They sound great until you drive the damn thing on a 12 trip. Than your kinda wishing for a Cadillac exhaust. LOL

LOL it is a little junky but it was all but free and I think the handle will make up for it!

very good video, the progress is looking great. the shifter is the best fabracoble i have ever seen and it works lol

Good plan on the water pump
Had all sorts of distractions there at the end 😂😂😂

Can't wait to see your thoughts on the aces injection I have been following them for a while just can't make the jump on it
I get that. So I'll be the test dummy for both of us. LOL

Starting on the EFI today so it should be the subject of next Wednesdays video
truck is lookn good
This is going to be one awesome hauler man, I love the built and hope the Aces Fuel Injection works for you on the long haul!
You and me both! LOL
Awesome job guys
Thanks!
Anthony the chassis is looking good and the shifter is looking nice work and I’m glad you going to try that fuel injection and let us know about it
next week hopefully on the EFI
Awesome!!! Are you using 2” Rod Ends on trailing arms? I need to get for for the same chassis.

It starts blowing the horn 3 blocks away. That's when I stop the video. I can walk out back of my shop and touch it as it goes by.
I totally agree with the $5000 ceiling is a lofty goal. Should have been $2500-$3000. Rat rod shouldn't have shiny new parts on it.
Everyone has their own thoughts on that and that's the best part of building something. You can do what ever the hell you want and no one can stop you.
I don't know about your local tractor supply but are local tractor supply where I live sells weld on high joints
IDK
If its laying around taking up space there should be no charge for salvaging material to use on the build...should give you a credit for using it
Looks great. I thought the budget was set for what had to be bought not what you had on the shelf
Thanks! That is the way some people are going with it but that isn't the way it was said by RRM
IMHO the raised portion of th valve covers could be painted body color (red) to accent the engine bay.
Firewall looks great from here 😅
Well don't take one step closer. LOL
I think it's going to be to nice to be considered a rat rod.
I will tell you that with a month left and working by myself on my build for rat stock, I am getting pretty nervous regardless of the budget
I fill you! Good luck and hope to see you there!

Nothing you already had it. So to me it's free.
Let’s pretend nock nock hello I’m here wow come on
I thought you were building a rat rod…that’s not looking like a rat rod or the “rat rod” really isn’t like they used to be or should be…
@brandonmaley6737 I've talked about this in past videos, and I can't post pics in the comments, but there are renderings in many of the past videos.
A $5,000 budget is ridiculously stupid in the first place !!
