He’s a big bad wolf in your neighborhood

Bad boys 4 life baby❤
Here after watching Mike get slapped for motivation during shootout scene 🔥🔥
One of the greatest beats in Rap history.
Amen ! 🙏
My wife dont even remember it, her taste in music is horrible...lol
Definitely
My all time Favourite Hip hop tune of all time if I had to choose one.
The beat is sampled from a song called “Take me to the Mardi Gras” by jazz musician Bob James. LL had recorded Rock the Bells using this sample but RUN DMC was already using this in their live shows so Russell refused to release the LL version and he recorded it again with what we have now, and the rest is history! I think they all came away ok but Bob James needs some respect on his name too!
Seen bad boys and had to come back to this
The scratch break...followed by 'There it is' ugh, freaking classic.
Kills me
Every time...my generation was awesome lol
He hits that "you'll see J again, my friend" and I get goosebumps.
RIP JAM MASTER JAY
Here in 2024 still banging
Same
Okay !!!
Always. And jmj just showin out.
The year was 1986 when I first heard this song walking into my cousins house in West Covina. They had this song rocking on the 2 turn tables. My mind exploded at how dope the beat was as my cousin was looping it and scratching to the beat. This was Hip Hop at its finest. Run DMC were the kings of rap at that time.
Maybe i was there with you. I grew up in Duarte but went to Glendora High! Graduated in 87!
Best year ever 1986
My homie would play this song in his Lowered Chevy luv truck . Which had 2 12's Cerwin -Vegas with the ext cab for the speakers 🔊. The bed was covered, but had a limo antenna 📡.
The rims were enkei saw blades .
Did i mention it was Slammed to the Ground. To the point it would get stuck on speed bumps 😆
Good times in Bakersfield in 1986.
I'm from Riverside, CA and I had thought I heard this bumping in the Samurais and Nissan trucks outside Poly High School, but I finally heard it clearly on someone's system in the parking lot while walking into a Stater Bros market. Mind blown. Took me five days to find a record store that had the album. Made tapes for all the homies and it was all we listened to for weeks and weeks.
Bad boys 4

Run dmc was the shit....and im a metalhead.....
I know man! Im one too!
Called recognize
Me too brother
I am a HUGE rap fan - but good is just good. I can't listen to Metallica One without rocking out. Good is just good.
@@HonestDoubter DMC wasn't good they were fuckin great!
Here before the 'Bad Boys: Ride Or Die fans' come here.
It's crazy how good the Roland TR-808 sounds to this day
And it really sounds mean when Jam Master Jay and Rick Rubin are programing the beats.
Would love to play around with an 808, but not easy to obtain..
@@robrs2000 io808.com/
I thought it was a 909 lol
@@robrs2000 the Behringer clone is just as dope and much more affordable
Still one of the BEST hip hop songs EVER....that BEAT is amazing....and Jay mixed that *tihs* like salad.
I spit my beer out laughing
😂🥏🥙🎡🥗
There will never be a better beat than this!
True. Beats to the Rhyme isn't shabby either.... But anything with Bob James Nautilus bangs.
I agree 💯
Raising Hell is 37 years old and it STILL sounds fresh and new!!!
Man in my dj'ing days I studied this more than my college classes. If you wanted to learn to cut and mix, THIS was a masterclass
Hi 👋
Hello yo one love
Original
Easy to catch the break on this song
Why do you say that?
Not BAD meaning BAD, but BAD meaning GOOD!!
Meaning confirmed!!
Over.
There it is....

Kings of Rap!👏🏻 R.I.P Jam Master Jay🙏🏻
Yes!
RIP
🎵The turntables might wobble, but they don’t fall down. 🎵💃🏽🎵
Does anyone remember weeble wobbles? I had the airport with the plane.
Jay's like King Midas, as I was told,
Everything that he touched, turned to gold.
Still love that ol skool tunes!!!

"War" the best band of funk
Yeah its quality i like rock punk but rap too. How old this is it holds up well it great to me
Still have this cassette from 1986
Back when you could rap about nursery rhymes and it was cool.
This is the damn jam!
"nursery rhymes are cool"-andrew dice clay
And not have to drop an f bomb or some kind of profanity every 10 seconds like you yad tourettes syndrome.
No guns no dope no smackin up bitches!!! Just good music...
Nowadays SUCKKK👎👎
Still incredible all these years later. They were harkening back to the roots of hip-hop by rapping about the DJ, the original star of the show.
My favorite Run DMC Track!!!!!!!! I would rewind this and play this over and over
Seriously ?
I remember when I bought this on a 45. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@lauramcelhineyYep....you're too young to understand
This is what changed everything.
The Best Duo Ever. That exchange between lines and bars is so fluid. Get that old school party hopping!!!
Definitely. Beastie boys were always in sync as well.
There was three of them.
@@dougstyleshmm 😮
@@michaelabercrombie7698Preme hit Jay. RIP
My duo is Outkast but I'm from ATL...then again I grew up on Run-DMC, Cool J, Melle Mel, Whodini, Egyptian Lover, Newcleus, Big Herc, Slick Rick, Boogie Down Productions...any n everybody. Those were the good times. When MCs were about keeping the party hype. But!...I'll still put Andre against any other MC on the planet. Talkin bout prime Andre
It was a trio, although i guess it is a duo niw
Those bells. God Gawd!!!!!
I had a third generation dub of this tape in ‘87 when I was 11.
I had to crank it to 10 to hear it at all, but I heard it well enough that it changed my life forever.
Not to mention the generations cut down in the studio and the copies. By then you’d have a 5th gen tape (if it was a copy of a copy) by then.
they're killin it with that beat
Bob James Take Me To Mardi Gras
As I was told dat dj made my day
God damn that DJ made my day. RIP JMJ. Epic work on this classic.
Goddamn that D.J. made my day. R.I.P. Jason Mizell. This the joint, I think of when I think of you.

Run-Dmc the Soul of Hip-Hop, there it is.
The godfathers of rap
1:57 that "go" was used as a sample in sonic 3 and I think that's awesome
You found it. Lol Crazy the sources that Sega used in the 90s. 🔥
Man oh man I still love this entire album! Was one of the few albums I bought back then (poor white guy). And the only rap I ever bought. Love you guys! Cried when you guys lost a bandmate.
You're not poor Biden got you lmfao
the turntables might wobble but they don't fall down
Hey David 👋
In 1998 I danced to this break-dance music in the center of Russia, in Siberia! And when I hear these notes, ants run over my body and I want to run to dance, it helps me not to grow old! :) Thanks friends!
Сибирский
JMJ bringing the bells in on top of the beat back to back on the 1s and 2s..NO SAMPLERS
Brings me back to the skating rink days! This shit is still🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man I haven’t heard another person use the term “skating rink” in forever…when I was a kid in Va during the 70’s (I was born in DC in 71) the skating rink closest to my house was called “Wheel-a-While” & it was THE place to be & the really big really old one that was in town (old town Alexandria) would get nuts! Like don’t let kids go nuts! I went to visit my mom a few months ago & I’ll be damned….Wheel-a-While is still there 🤷🏼♂️🖤🥶y’all be safe
Had this album back in 86' when I 17 awesome!!
Si did us!! I was 8!
Like the little wooden boy named Pinocchio and you all know how the store we go!!!
Memories Of 1986''🎶🔥🔥🔥😎
Yes.. good ole days
At 2:45 after the "Ge-Ge-Ge-Ge-Ge-Ge-Ge" when that subtle beat drops again, is when Hip Hop was here to stay 💪🏾
The bridge at 0:24 is just beautiful man... that bit is the cherry on the cake of this song.
Yes, brother!
“not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good!” this bar hyped you up
that beat is something crazy too 🔥
My favorite track on the album. Always loved the Bob James sample.
That 808 going OFF!

Jam Master jay scratching on this Dope RIP JMJ FOREVER 👑🕊🕊🕊🙏🏾🙏🏾
The party starter
Words can’t express how amazing this song is🔥🔥🔥
Run DMC's first two albums are a few of the greatest of all time in their genre. They're now timeless classics that were legends in their day. I wish they worked 2x harder around when this album came out and later. What happened to Jay is sickening. He knew what he was doing was wrong. It's right there in the lyrics again and again. I'm glad he finally got justice in court. RIP JMJ. Bless you Run and D. You're both eternal heroes of the sport.
Bla bla
thank´s old school... The Best... i need very much music
You also need a better grammar class.
He's probably online practicing his second language and you sitting there being all critical and shit.

Hi 👋
One of the greatest songs of all time. Growing up in the 80's this was the second album I ever owned. True innovators and pioneers. Much respect.
It was the first cassette I ever bought.
I totally agree, we need like a thousand more cops to stop those black gang members from killing each other. I happen to live in Key West and I have a son that lives in Chicago and I think about that s*** all the time , and this tune is my earworm , I can live with that..
@@chrishuber4523Hi Chris Huber 👋
1:26 Everything that he touch --- turn to GOLD....
He came to my school today 😀and told us his story
¿cual es su historia?
As like king midas I was told everything that he touch turn to gold - I freakin love that part, with the break best of this great song
The beat and the jingles are insane 😮
*This album, and this track is beyond classic*
Those Bells Tho!
Pioneers of Hip Hop
Yo, I remember when this came out. We played the shit out of this entire album all summer.
Many "High" rides on back roads listening to this cd.... oops, I mean cassette tape.LOL
Those dizzy bells are the best. People don’t know how to make beats today. This is how you do it. 💯%
Man, this song made my day!!RUNDMC will always bring back the good ol days!!
Happy Bornday to DMC
Who would have thought Bob James's take me to the mardi gras sample would be one of the most iconic sounds in 80's hip hop thankyou Mr James ❤

A dope ass rhythm with a nursery rhyme theme. The creativity is just ridiculous!!
