Pasta with squid ink is actually quite common in the south of Italy: usually it's spaghetti or linguine with a thick tomato sauce with squid and squid ink which turns everything black. It is quite scary looking but really delicious.
With the watermelon I would suggest pressing the shapes into the basket before you scoop the inside out so you have structure to press against, when you scoop the inside out the outside rind that you deeply scored with the tool should fall off. Just in case you and Mrs. B want to do that later.

fun fact: the reason why the lid on the herb grater was opposite to normal is because if it were normal righty-tighty lefty-loosy, the friction of the frozen herbs against the razors would cause the bottom to un-screw! also, one would assume they want you to put it on its side in case of water left over in the herbs, if left upright it would pool and freeze in the bottom, ruining the blades when you try to use it, but sideways it pools on the side in the grooves, so likely can just be ignored.
@@Chriswsm its not about the position he's holding it, its about the threading on the container, another example of where left-threaded screws are used is in the pedals of bicycles, you constantly apply a counter-clockwise force to the left pedal's screw as you pedal the bike, so if it were a normal clockwise screw you would be constantly losening it and unscrewing your pedals.
The egg one can be done with a coffee cup of appropriate width covered with a paper plate. The weight of a paper plate allows the right amount of steam to escape (so it doesn't blow up) while keeping enough in to properly cook your egg. As a bachelor, it really is the best way to cook a scrambled egg. I crack in 2 eggs to a Campbell's Soup mug and beat, place in microwave for 50-90 seconds (because microwaves vary, as well as elevation, humidity, atmospheric pressure). Start with less time, check, add as needed. You can use your fork to stir the cooked egg when checking, allowing to to control exactly how cooked the egg is (for different egg consistencies, runny to fluffy) You can stir in cheese, bacon bits, seasonings. Be aware the residual heat in the mug will continue to cook the egg, so remove the scramble when you reach desired consistency.. You can use the paper plate! Using this method, I don't need a separate gadget, breakfast is ready in about 2-3 minutes (time needed for toast), rinse the mug, run a nylon brush around it to remove egg residue, and use it for you morning juice... and only have a dirty mug to show for your full breakfast.

The green tea infuser is great but you aren't supposed to squeeze your tea leaves because that releases the bitter taste into your tea! I like that to leaves espaced and you can stir it like a spoon though
Don’t feel bad about enjoying something how you enjoy it, when other people try to say it’s wrong, it tells you a lot more about how unhappy they are in themselves than the rights or wrongs of strength of tea, cream or jam first, what temperature your steak should be, tomatoes or not in beef mince sauces etc etc.
Air is a pretty good insulator, by laying it down you maximise the surface area touching cold stuff in the freezer meaning it cools quicker, I suspect the 'leave it in the freezer for x mins is dependant on proper surface contact
I would bet they tell you to lay it on its side so that if the herbs are wet, from being washed, the water doesn't pool and freeze around the blades making it not able to work.

Watching this in Germany:) Always enjoying!!
I used to use a round cream cheese container to make circle eggs for McMuffins. I also mixed the cheese into the egg to save a step. I bet you could put hot water in the bottom and crack an egg on top to poach it.
Great video! I wanted to Thank You on the Veggie Prep Kit. I broke my arm about ten days ago and am in a crazy splint and sling, waiting to for my arm to go down in swelling so I can get my cast. So I am down to trying to do everything with one arm. I was cooking and I needed to chop up onions and bell peppers, I managed cleaning out the peppers and I had my husband cut the onions in half. I needed both diced and was able to put them in my veggie prep kit and with one hand I had them diced nicely with a few presses and was done with all my prepping and finished cooking supper faster than when I was cooking with both hands. I love my veggie prep kit! It is AWESOME llll
My eyes are watery as Barry “tenderises” the second most tender steak, too a tenderloin
You need a little shelf for your salt and pepper mills. My grandmother collected them and had them on a shelf.
Ace videos as always. So jealous of the Bob Ross toaster! I want one!x
