Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. Hey Guys! I'm getting a lot of comments about refilling the smaller Got2b tube with the gel from the bigger one. I forgot to mention in the video that the gel in the tube is a lot thinner than they gel in the big tube. The bigger one is very thick, almost like a paste so I don't think it would be easy to get it into that little tube. It would probably work better in a pot like the ABH Brow Freeze.
😳😳😳 that peach revolution blush is stunning!!!!!!! Dang I can't believe the L.A. colors is so great ....I always was iffy about getting it because it's dollar trees main brand and therefore I automatically thought it wouldn't be great but WOW......I LOVE L.A girl shadows too
Hi Jen, You many want to throw out there that it’s the got 2 be “spiking glue” that holds the real magic- not the gel.
Yes please keep doing a "Favorites Under $10" video's. You seem to be the only person doing this so far and I love your style. Many of these can be used on my mature skin (over 60).

I love your budget friendly picks! Everything is so much more expensive and a lot of us are feeling the crunch. I rarely purchase high end makeup these days. It is so much more satisfying to find something that is great quality at a truly affordable price. It is such a nice treat to pick up a little something that won't break the bank!

Absolutely true. I’m 46. It’s so refreshing to watch a woman, in my age range, using makeup, and skincare, to enhance her natural beauty. I’m my opinion, that’s how makeup should be used.

Same! I found your channel while I was in CCU with an acute case of colitis and critical hyponatremia. I remained in the CCU for two weeks, and med/surg for three. I’m 6’, and I was down to 129 pounds! I’m usually 140-145. Watching your videos helped tremendously. I was able to block out much of the pain, isolation and the inability to walk and function like an average person. I’m still rehabbing to rebuild muscle mass, large & fine motor skills, and attempting to lead a normal life again. Anyway, I find your videos comforting, informative and calming. I started with your first video, and I’m watching your most recent video. Your dupe videos are the most enjoyable for me. Although I’ve spent a pretty penny on products, I use every product I’ve purchased. Just know that what you do isn’t just informative, they’re helpful to many people who are going through difficult situations. Your happy personality and calm demeanor helps more than you know. I squeezed some of that “got 2 be” spiking glue in a small pot, and then scraped some brow powder into in, and swirled it together. To use, simply take the end of a spoolie to scoop a dollup onto the back of your hand, and then rub the spoolie through it coat it. Lastly, comb those brow hairs up!
Thanks Jen!! I bought the makeup revolution cream bronzer in Light! You are 💯right , it’s a great cream bronzer! I have both of Charlotte tillbury cream bronzers and had the Chanel one. This is better and I would recommend trying this first before buying others. Thank you for telling us about this dupe.

Now you have me wanting more Super Shocks! I've been doing the simple eye with the CP "That's Taupe" pallet. Couple of crease colors, lid shimmer, and a light brushing to deepen the outer corner. I really am enjoying the pallet. And in reference to the Thrive dupe.... I'm pretty stuck on that mascara! It's amazing! My holy grail as well!

You're the holy grail for recommendations! Wow! I've been on a no-buy/lo-buy this year, but I need mascara and I go through lip products really fast. So I'm especially happy to go shop on a budget for good stuff 😊
Just use the tube of gel to refill the wand container! I have brows like yours and the NYX Brow Glue works great but it's over $11 for a tiny tube. I cleaned it out and now refill it with the got 2 be gel! Also walgreens sells a travel size of the gel if you don't want the giant size tube.

I was looking for a bronzer for my fair, cool-toned skin that didn’t make me orange. I got the L’Oréal Infallible 24h Fresh Wear Soft Matte Bronzer in 200 Fair and the Nars Matte Bronzing Powder in Vallarta. They are almost identical. The only difference is that the L’Oréal is slightly cooler and $22 cheaper. It’s not under $10, but it’s really good.
The L'oreal Infallible Soft Matte bronzers are one of the BEST bronzer formulas to come out at the drugstore and I love the Fair one too...it's a perfect cool tone for me. :)

Hey Jen, I just discovered the greatest way to use the got2b gel. I used needle nosed pliers to remove the stopper from a used up tube of clear brow gel. I squeezed the got2b into the tube, then put the stopper back in. Presto! No need to mess with the great big tube on a daily basis.

I loveee your affordable recommendations, I honestly couldn’t care less about dupes (I know that’s not a popular opinion tho 😂) because I just don’t ever buy high end makeup unless I’m splurging on a special eyeshadow palette- anything over $10-15 is a lot for me. I love playing with makeup and trying new stuff but it happens maybe once or twice a week at most and I just can’t justify spending much on new products. I also really hope brands do more mini sizes of things, it makes so many more products accessible for me to try.
Your videos are always so satisfying. I had the opposite experience this week. I got a sample of the Sisley concealer. $118. Let me repeat $118. It settled in my pores, was not full coverage, and had worn off by the end of the day. I have drugstore concealers that are better than that. Some high end is definitely worth it, but I had to shake my head on this one.
Oh no! I hate when that happens! If a drugstore product doesn't perform I don't worry about it too much, but if I spent $118 on a concealer it better be amazing!

I’m glad to see you mention that LA Colors concealer! I’ve never heard a UA-camr talk about it. It’s a close 2nd to my Rare Beauty concealer as it doesn’t make my under eyes look horrible by the end of the day 😊

I tried the No. 7 mascara in a recent video and my lashes didn't look as good as the LA Colors one (in my opinion!). Those Marc Jacobs liners are really nice! I'll have to find a dupe.

I had to come back to comment how impressed I am with the LA Colors concealer!! It’s medium coverage. Builds beautifully. Most importantly it doesn’t accentuate my very dry/aging under eyes. I only purchased on a whim because I happened to be at DG. So glad I picked it up.

The timing of this video, it's like you read my mind. My birthday is tomorrow and just yesterday I was talking to my husband about what I wanted to do for my birthday. I decided I wanted to see if there were any good makeup finds at Dollar Tree and Dollar General. I have recently been impressed at some of the products UA-camrs have shared from these stores. I am particularly interested in the concealer and mascara. Lately I've been struggling to find a good affordable mascara. For years my go to mascara was one by NYC, and I have yet to find an equally affordable replacement.

I love these types of videos. I love a good high end product, but if I can get a high end result for less - I am all for that! I love the E.L.F. Lash Beats mascara. I have never liked their mascara before but I enjoy this one. It gives me great length and separation for $6.

Omg I didn’t even know got2B made that! You turned me on to that trick and it works so well BUT I seem to make a mess with it. End up with a shiny build up right above my brow line. Maybe this will fix that issue for me 🙏🤞

I've been using the la colors concealer for years there color correction concealers are great too I use the orange one because I have brown skin and it great for my dark spots under my foundation and concealer.

I found it at one of the Walmarts near me. (Not all their stores carry LA Colors, so I suggest you look at the Walmart website to see if they have it at a location near you.)

I literally paused and went to dollar general near my home and got the concealer and a cream blush a smokey palette 🎨 and matte lipstick 💄 from LA colors and ❤️ I paid $6 for my palette in Mississippi...I actually starring enjoying this brand few years ago and it's gotten better..Believe beauty is also at excellent price point and amazing quality for 5 and under at Dollar general..they have a decent skincare line for ladies or college students on a budget...must check out more . stick the hair gel into a small pot with a lid like maybe if you finish one of your color pop shadows clean that out and use it or you know how ELF has mini sized creams, use one of those or just buy a nice set of travel containers that has some small cream pot
I also picked up that Revolution cream bronzer and I love it. It is an amazing product. I was so scared of bronzer and this one is so beginner friendly. Revolution has a real winner with this formula. I hope they put out some blush colors in this formula.

I have several products from L.A. Colors, their "Duo Tone Eye Shadow" are 16 different duos and only $3.50 I just checked their website and they still sell them... OMG! All of them are AMAZING! The "Iced Pigment Powder" 😍you can apply them as a regular eyeshadow or you can foil them with a mixing medium/setting spray. The "Gelly Glam Metallic Eye Color", awesome and can also be used on the cheeks. Their "Rad Rouge Blush" are also wonderful. I use their eyeliners to both line my eyes and fill my eyebrows. Their face powders and lipsticks are also good. I always laugh when you say "holy cow" haha so cute!

I picked up the LA Colors tubing mascara yesterday and it’s so good! I’ve used the Thrive one for 3 years now and it’s definitely a dupe. I even think it builds layers better. What a great find! I’ve heard great things about their mineral pressed powder…that it’s great for dry/mature skin so I’ll be looking out for that also.

Jen just enjoy your program. Instead, of buying the tube of got to be glued. Just, put some product into a small container. SAFE Money, and use with your spooly or a disposable 1 when traveling. Just a thought.

This was great Jen! Always love these. Definitely have to check out la colors. Had heard Emily Noel talk about them too. The cover girl extreme wear outlast concealer is 👏 🙀. We wear the same shades in foundation and I use the color classic ivory 810. So good and you need the smallest amount. Crazy.

The brow gel isn't as thick as the hair gel so I'm not sure if that would work but I might try it when it runs out!

It's almost funny using hair gel as a row gel dupe. In the 90s I used regular hair gel on my brows to hold them in place, I don't remember seeing any brow products until like 15 years ago. G2b does make the glued gel in a mini travel size gel tube, my cvs carries it.
LA Girl makes an amazing cheap colored brow gel pot like ABH, but no black, I use the "soft black" which is dark brown when I don't feel like dying my hair(black) & let it grow a bit. They don't make a true black. If it feels less creamy add a dro of Ingolot Duraline or something similar & it's great. I use the ABH black one when my hair is fresh dyed.

Thank you! I use the NuMe 1" curling wand but any curling iron that size should do the trick! I take small pieces and curl them away from my face, pointing the wand down.
