This story is absolutely perfect. The Characters were written well, the narrating/voice acting was great, and it was really suspenseful! My heart was legit pounding hard when it kept building up that otter would die only to be revealed that she wouldn't. The bonding with Franklin and Otter was really cute and heart warming even with the catch of Otter potentially dying. Tbh I didn't really question Otters disappearance in the show but now I wish there were more episodes with Otter! I give this story a 10/10 It's great and I would watch this again definitely!

This is a beautifully written story, and it kinda feels plausible that they would have actually done something of the sort back in the day. I don't know who wrote this, but I have to give props to them for writing something this good. This is especially interesting because Otter only had ~10 minutes or so of screen time in total, in only 4 episodes, making her one of those hidden gem characters that not many people who are familiar with the show know about. She's actually very likeable on the count of her being very fun. I grew up watching Franklin as a kid but never even knew that Otter even existed on the count of never having seen the few episodes that she was in. The following is purely fictional and should not be taken as fact. This next section will also contain a few spoilers, so watch the full video first before going any further. Basically, this was meant to be a double-length short film (~40 minutes, 1 hour if you include commercial breaks) that was planned to air as the Season 3 premiere but was axed due to issues with the staff and the shift towards computer-aided animation; the fact that the story is dark and sombre apparently had nothing to do with it. What's impressive, however, is that the video file for the full episode existing means that the episode was fully completed (animation, dialogue, everything) before the final executive decision to axe it was made. Since this was meant to be the premiere for Season 3, this would have meant that it was being worked on throughout 1999 (the season premiered in October of that year). I feel that this sort of thing would have actually been revolutionary for the time, especially considering that very few kid's shows had delved into these morbid topics up to that point. It basically would have taught kids about how the power of love and friendship can allow one to conquer any obstacle and how miracles can happen to anyone if they believe in them. However, the most important thing here is that it would have taught the kids a bit about death, mortality, and illness. We sadly see that Otter might possibly die due to a terminal illness, which provides 2 lessons: - Everyone has to die someday, no matter how long they live. - Illness, terminal or not, is not easy to deal with, but perseverance can help you push through and get better. Sure, it would have scared some of the younger audience, but it probably would have gone down in history for being among the first to delve into such topics. I tried writing stuff like this in my spare time, but I quickly got bored and started writing stuff to scare people. But you, my friend, you can do nicely writing dramatic stories and/or stage plays. You could actually be the William Shakespeare of internet stories! 10/10
To be honest this whole thing would have been avoided if otter could have just told Franklin the truth but I get that she didn't want to make him feel bad because they were having such a great time but when I first saw this I didn't know that otter even had a condition I found out about it when I was halfway through the video but this Creepypasta was really good overall because it had a lot of very great scenes in it but also some pretty depressing ones as well the most depressing part about it is the fact that after Franklin found out about otters sickness the way he treated her was not good at all but besides that I think this story is good and bad at the same time it's good because it's a Franklin Creepypasta and I watched a few episodes of Franklin and it's also bad because of how Franklin treated otter and how otter didn't tell Franklin about the condition she had but other than that the story was really good

I think the ending would have been a lot more powerful if it seemed like Otter had gotten better, only to die in her sleep the night after the party. Then Franklin could have attended her funeral and learned that despite dying unexpectedly, Franklin gave Otter a happy ending. Although he lost her in the end, Franklin did everything he could be an amazing friend.
