    It's called double apple shisha tobacco. The most famous flavour in the Middle East.

    Love a bit of apple and vanilla. MoonaLisa's Smoked Apple Vanilla is gorgeous. I'll definitely be trying this out. Someone was vaping on the bus the other day and liked the smell ❤❤

    Great review Brotha.
    I definitely on the vibe that you can get with fragrance when it comes to aesthetics.

    I've been intending on getting a full bottle of this. My favourite Kilian's are Intoxicated, Sacred Wood & Back to Black.

    I agree. I put this on skin at Saks last weekend and omg, it’s a must have. Smells like nothing else out there to me. It’s a perfect scent.

    Why is Curly scents the thumbnail? I thought I was clicking on her video

      It’s not? The thumbnail is me sniffing my arm with a big bottle to the side and a green apple

      @@FragranceView something must be wrong with UA-cam I’m on a different device now. But they had a pic of curly scents but it went to your video. I did it 4 times just to be sure. It’s correct now on my phone though. I’ll delete my post as not to cause any confusion

    Great 👍 review Peter, yeah I sample this fragrance too. It smell good and I can definitely see this as a night out fragrance in cold 🥶 weather and leather jacket . Keep up the amazing work brother . I hope you have a great day.

    Interesting take and I guess this one may be quite different with different skin types. This is smoky on me (as in an actual hookah smell) and gets vanillic in the dry down. I don’t get much apple. This was a love at first sniff for me and I bought it right away.

    Hey Peter! I cant recall if you tried or made a video about kilian's dark lord. Anyway im intrigued about that one. I got a sample of sacred wood last year and will become a bottle someday.
    By the way, im very satisfied with centauri elixir. It performs excellent in the cold, even in the increasingly comming heat here in the southern hemysphere (just have to go with a couple of sprays)

    I've never smelled this. Fragrantica is nearly split if this is similar to Tobacolor by Dior. I have smelled that. I get what you're saying about a perceived physical appearance... it's part of the artistry. There is a darkness in Tobacolor at least, for sure.
    Your reviews make me smile.☺️ Thanks for the uplifting content!

    Hi. Yet another great review. I just wish it was Dark Lord instead of Smoking Hot!
    So far your reviews made me buying SacredWood and Pearl Oud from By Kilian:)

    • @FragranceView
      @FragranceView  8 місяців тому +3

      Pearl Oud is a beastttttt

    • @luqman_4053
      @luqman_4053 5 місяців тому +2

      I listened very carefully to the PEARL OUD review on this channel. There are a few points I would like to raise.
      PEARL OUD is a perfume paying tribute to oriental perfumery. This is why the perfume offered by the house has nothing original since it uses all the codes of oriental perfumery. The streets, souks, shopping centers and mosques emit this smell everywhere in the Middle East. So, make no mistake.
      This perfume delivers a typical Middle Eastern scent using Indian oud, highly prized in Qatar and elsewhere in the Arabian Peninsula for its animal character.
      The house offers here is a softer, less spicy version of the famous perfume.
      Also, I don't believe the oud inside the perfume is synthetic. For what ? Because you don't call on Christiano Provenzano to make a perfume based exclusively on oud and synthetic rose... especially when you know the seriousness of the By Kilian house. Can you imagine for a moment…? To offer a very demanding clientele a perfume paying tribute to oriental perfumery, in honor of the opening of a boutique in Doha, based on oud and synthetic rose? I don't believe that.
      In truth, I believe that the perfumer was able to create a sublime accord of natural oud with castoreum in the base note.
      Also, smelling the notes of oud and rose, I don't have the impression that the perfume delivers a synthetic smell.
      I smell a really nice rose. Very pleasant. A rose that reminds me of the rose in PORTRAIT OF THE LADY by Frédéric Malle. Inside the latter, the perfumer claims to have used 100 roses in a bottle. A rose that lasts all day; and even longer. Does this indicate that the rose used by the perfumer is synthetic? Pure oud bought in Mecca lasted 24 hours on my skin and several days on clothes. Does this indicate that the oud is synthetic?
      If the perfumer had used synthetic Indian oud, I doubt that the small bouquet of jasmine and Ylang-ylang would have been enough to soften the smell of this synthetic oud.
      I believe (perhaps wrongly) that the rose used by Cristiano Provenzano is natural and that he mixed a few drops of natural oud with castoreum to enhance the smell of Indian oud and make it last longer.
      But Indian oud... I don't think there's a lot of it in this perfume. It is rather the agreement between oud and castoreum that gives this impression. So, for the few drops of oud used in this perfume, it is useless to think that the perfumer was reduced to using synthetic oud in this perfume.
      In truth, by using castoreum as a base note, the perfumer managed to create a very well executed, balanced and soothing perfume!
      *But maybe I'm wrong and Peter is right.*
      PEARL OUD is one of the best perfumes that best pays homage to oriental perfumery. An underrated perfume.

    I always watch your reviews and I don't know why, we never seem to agree on anything... lol! Maybe that's why? Anyway, I'm surprised you don't think this changes. My favourite part of the fragrance is the tobacco at the beginning but on me, it's gone in five minutes and then it's just the "apple" for the rest of the time. On me, I wake up the next day and can still smell it. While I don't regret this blind buy, it's no Black Phantom or Intoxicated. I would have liked it more if it did actually dry down to a tobacco/vanilla instead of just apple all day. Had hopes this would have been my favourite fragrance of 2023 but so far for me, it's Un Jardin à Cythère from Hermes.

      Perfume is wildly subjective, it can smell totally different on one persons skin chemistry to another.. part of the charm I think. Don't have to agree with each other, but people can still get along

    • @aaronmilic5916
      @aaronmilic5916 8 місяців тому

      @@FragranceView yes exactly. Which is why I facepalm when you say on you it doesn't change, as I wish that was the case for me. Sounds like I am the minority on this based on the reviews I read before I bought it online (it's not easy to find and sample where I live). Your channel is great, I watch all your reviews on fragrances I can even find in Toronto, Canada and then I go and check them out. If you dislike it, it's a good indication I likely will. ;-)

    Sounds like another 'Ambre Narguile' inspiration

    • @FragranceView
      @FragranceView  8 місяців тому

      I am not sure just the notes of spice, vanilla, tobacco & amber equate to another Ambre Narguile, this smells completely different to that to be fair.. that little grouping of notes naturally go together, so they're going to be used even by people who never smelled Ambre Narguile, arguably there was a perfume prior to that one that used similar notes. AN was made in early 2000's, I've no doubt the notes have been used together before that.
