John Cooks Collard Greens with his Granny

- A few months ago, we flew to Ohio to celebrate Poppa Stephen's birthday and had to sneak in a visit with John's granny (Marjorie), so she could teach us her famous collard greens recipe. She's been making them for more than 60 years, so uh obviously they are very good - so good that I always include them in our Thanksgiving menu. Even though she’s great in the kitchen Granny admittedly hates to cook, but did it because she had to care for her family. Who can relate to THAT? So, we were extra honored to be schooled in her method (Luna too!). Granny’s rules: clean those greens and don’t add cinnamon! @Y K do you know how long it takes to figure out how your stove temperatures works and what combo of minutes/temperature make the perfect recipe...stoves are really temperamental one degree to high and your perfectly golden brown sponge cake could turn into chard bits
@Y K I feel like your a dude lol not that men don't cook but this is some ish that i would defiantly be thinking about and i know alot of women would be thinking about from experience. Once i tried to sell my grandma's blender she had for like 25 years to buy her a new one and she almost necksliced me lol while speaking poetry about that blender

Cleaned and chopped ...my ex granny-in-law taught me how to make Southern food and she was over 100 years old when she passed away. Old fashioned cooking and grandmother's are a priceless blessing
