If you enjoyed the video feel free to leave a like and a comment! Any support helps... Also, your Tamagotchi has been suffering for over a decade because of your neglect and absence.
I only ever played the first cornershop as a kid and I literally played it until my cartridge wouldn't work anymore. Bought corner shop 3 for nostalgia and I immediately regret it.
I played the Japanese original version of all three instalments! What’s impressive about the games is that the Tamagotchis’ voice samples have the correct vowels and cadence that match the Japanese text shown on screen. Also, Mametchi is playable in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, and his voice there seems based off his appearance in the Corner Shop series.
My only reason for wanting to play them again it's because I can't, for the life of me, find on UA-cam a video in which one of the brats sings "Yamagotchi, tama-tamagotchi!" I have that stuck on my head since I was a kid and I live in constant torment Super good video btw, love the humor and the fact that you talked about this franchise
The other Corner Shop games being Japan exclusive has more to do with Bandai giving up on Tamagotchi in general in the West after the 2000's, and the later games are also heavily tied with the anime that never got released in the US, and there haven't been new Corner Shop games probably because Tamagotchi declined in popularity in Japan around 2016, and it's very unlikely we'll get another because Bandai Japan is heavily targeting the franchise to adults now rather than kids
Never played this but came across them since they were developed by NanaOnSha, the Parrappa devs. This was a really great overview of the series and the strengths and weaknesses of each game. Good job!
I too never owned a Tamagotchi, but I had corner shop 1 for the DS. I remember it being super frustrating, but I lowkey wanna revisit it for some reason.
I CERTAINLY remember playing all three of these games throughout my highschool days. What really got me was Bandai Namco even bothered to release three games at all. I've never bothered to read the reviews on these games back then so i don't know what the general opinions were like anyways. I would perhaps remembered people thinking these games were mostly average with a few glaring problems. My main issue with all three was a lack of a tutorial on what you need to know, what to do, & how to do it. This made the games felt more like trial-&-error than anything. but once you actually get the hang of it, it's not bad afterwards. My other issue is the execution on some of the shops. 2 & 3 were pretty bad but 1 still gets included in that with the Music Shop. Quite unfair in how it was designed. But onto the more charming points: The graphics really did a good job on keeping with the style of the franchise itself and the music really captures the mood & feel of the games themselves. Yes it gets repetive at times but it can also get stuck in your head quite often. Especially if it hits you with nostalgia. On the hand...at least you don't have to do any pet-caring for you Tamagotchi. P.S. I wish I did come across this video after making this essay of comment last year. but nobody made videos about this series at the time.
The games were definitely designed for a much younger audience in mind, hence the cutesiness and repetitiveness, but the minigames were pretty amusing for while even when I played the games at around age 13 I also do agree on the minigame instructions being unclear at times. They might've detailed the instructions in the written manual but I never owned a physical copy of any of the 3 Corner Shops so I wouldn't know
I remember having the 2 one on DS but I don’t think I ever played the 1 one and I didn’t know there was a 3 one but I wish I still had my little tamagotchi before I go my DS
I just remembered the game and decided to check out the video and im glad I did, its very well done I like it a lot :) (also pretty based for using scribblenauts music haha i really love that) btw i never knew that there was a second and third title, i spent hours in the first game - literally hours like im not even kidding haha
My fellow Tamagotchi anime fans! Will you help me get Bandai Namco to dub the rest of the Tamagotchi anime series so far from episode 27 to episode 271 aka episode 50 of Go-Go Tamagotchi in English? Help a fellow Tamagotchi fan out.
Tamagotchi fans! Will you help me get Bandai Namco to dub the rest of the Tamagotchi anime series so far from episode 27 to episode 271 aka episode 50 of Go-Go Tamagotchi in English? Help a fellow Tamagotchi fan out. It drives me mad that only the first 26 episodes of Tamagotchi and parts of the first 7 episodes of Tamagotchi Yume Kira Dream were released in English. We were robbed of Telelin's first full appearance in the Tamagotchi anime in English because episode 26 ended in a cliffhanger.
Oh my god, thats the kind of video that makes the ouroboros of shitty ass recomendations youtube gives me worth going trough hahahah LOVELY video mate this is the first time i see your channel but i already love it. DS sure was a special thing wasnt it.. As for the kids watching this video, there's a thing called Dra$tic that runs butter smooth on any smartphone; but you didnt hear that from me. 🕵️♀️🏃♂️
Notice how the two best corner shop games have Masktchi, and the worst one doesn’t. This is what not including Masktchi in your game does. Sorry I don’t make the rules

Why do you regret it?
@@karenkezia2841 it wasn't fun at all, the mini games were boring and tedious
@@Gutterbonestm ahh i see
omg I was obsessed with corner shop 3 as a kid!! I get your issues with it, but I enjoyed how long it took to do everything haha
Me too! I had all 3 games, and 3 was my fave
As a wee lad, I was obsessed with corner shop 2. That game was, and still is a gem from my childhood
The glue competitive joke made me laugh so hard I almost spat my drank out
Great video!
i played corner shop 2 alot! the ones i remember are the cake one, the bouqet, sushi and sick/hospital one. :)
OMG and the car one! and the plane one.
2 did a great job of putting you in places that felt different, even if they were all shops at the end of the day

My cousin had a ds and i remember playing corner shop 2 ONCE just ONCE and it was enough for me to look for it years later
The Scribblenauts music makes this video 10x better. Good video!
Your humor is top-notch. Absolutely loved this video! 😂😂😂
Why is this channel not more popular yet 😭
i just saw a pic of this game on twitter and it unlocked so many memories because i totally forgot it existed
I loved these games so much. I've been thinking about picking them back up
Compared to the prices of old Pokemon games, they're pretty affordable haha

I spit my drink at the corner shop 3 part. I feel that all too well 🤣 -- how do you not have not subscribers ?? 🥺
I love the music in 2! I actually find the weird high pitched noises haha. I find the fluff text very endearing
