It's crazy how different your playstyle is from mine 😅 you only focus on bells, don't interact much with villagers and miss when a new store opens. My heart broke a little when Cookie pinged you and you ignored her, that's how you get new public work project suggestions! But it's still super fun to watch. Yeah the reason I thought ACNH was so lame was because of how boring the villagers are! They are my FAVORITE part of Animal Crossing. Brings back memories of me crying when Rocco moved out of my WW town
His playstyle is different because it's not a let's play. You have to have a defined goal to complete for a video like this. His normal play is different than content as well.
To be honest, a lot of the hype of New Leaf came from the big ongoing online community that loved the game. I remember meeting so many random people on discord, Facebook and Reddit who all shared their interest in playing acnh
I'm so excited you finally released this! I've been waiting since i got back into New Leaf this past October. A few notes to answer some things you talked about, as well as some tips for anyone interested: You kept tripping because you had "bad luck". The fix for that is talking to Katrina and wearing whatever she told you to. Sitting on rocks was added in the Welcome Amiibo update, i believe. Also in the Welcome Amiibo update, they added the ability to hold tools while doing other things like shaking trees. It makes catching bees much easier! You can stack fruit. You have to do it manually, unfortunately. But you can save a lot of space and time if you do decide to sell fruit for money. Leif is the only one to sell axes. Shrunk does do "comedy" if you bring him a piece of food. Once hes done he teaches you an emote. You can store turnips in dresser storage, instead of on the ground. On the ground is probably easier though so do with that what you will. You can usually sell items at retail for just under 4x what you can sell them to reece for if you put them in the consignment spots. (You can also buy things that villagers are selling and then resell them at a higher price if you want to make some easy money) The fish that the villager asked for, a Dab, is an ocean fish and it looked like you were trying to catch it in a river. I believe that there are 2 turnip prices each day. One before noon and a different price after. The ore rock is a rock that spawns somewhere different every day. If you know where your usual rocks are, you notice one out of place and thst one is the ore rock. On the island, if you are missing the trees with your net because youre too far away, drop a shell on the ground where you can hit the tree from. You have to donate a lot of things to blathers to be able to unlock the roost. Those were all of the things i could think of while watching. Great video! Im excited to see a full 365 days! Keep it up!
Regardless of how anyone feels abut NL, it is undeniably the most complete and fleshed-out AC game. You can easily play for a year and still have things left to do and discover. It's also so full of small details that show how much care was put into it, which is missing from NH. It's criminal that they shut the servers down while so many people are still playing it. The island bug exploit is one of the worst things about the game. 😂They made it way too profitable! A more fun way to get money is with the meow coupons. They give you daily and weekly tasks like the nook miles, and you can trade them in for bells.
I'm curious to know in which ways New Leaf is more complete and fleshed out? Because when I tried playing I was shocked at the lack of customization options. You can't choose where any building or villager's house goes, can't place your own furniture outside, can't villager hunt. Not to mention the furniture and clothing options are limited and quite ugly.
@@florence.5088 Decorating and costomizing are gameplay features, it doesn't have anything to do with the game being fleshed out or not. I'm talking about how features are incorporated into the whole, and how they're fleshed out by small details that may seem irrelevant on the larger scale. Such as so many of the NPCs being thrown together on Harv's island because they weren't incorporated into the game from the start, their conversation being lacking compared to NL, same with the villager conversations and less variety in tasks. You'd leave your items with Cyrus while he worked on them. If you invited a character via amiibo, they'd take the day off work, so you didn't have stuff like Blathers teleporting from the café to the bottom of the stairs at the museum, etc. NL had a lot of attention to detail like the way your character would shiver after you'd been in the water for too long, or sweat if you dressed them too warmly in the summer. NH does decorating very well, but it shows that there wasn't much to the game beyond that at launch.
I played ww and city folk as a child and I loved the hidden secrets in those. I also played nl and liked that game a lot too. I don’t remember all the differences because it’s been too long. Why do you think nl is more fleshed out than the ones before?

i got my first 3ds very late, like in 2020 and even though ive played ACNL shorter than ive played ACNH, NL just hits this spot for me. I love NH but NL has this different feel of it that even its music alone makes me gooey with love.
New Leaf is just more fleshed out. The NPCs arent just thrown into one small island because they werent there before (harvs island), the villagers have more personality, you have to literally earn their trust, and much more! Id love a new Leaf with the decorating aspect from new horizons to be honest!
Just restarted my NL town after 7yrs. Realized I never got very far in it despite playing a bunch. I’m having a blast rediscovering the game. Some tips I’ll share with you. 1) The stalk market price changes twice a day, once in the AM once in the PM. 2) On the island, fish up any large size fish and sharks as well as beetles. Prices are 4K-15k. 3) If your pockets are full, you can still purchase a hat if you aren’t already wearing one by first trying it on and then choosing “wear it out”.
I can't lie when watching your other 100 day series I was really looking forward to you doing new leaf! I'd love to see you continue, I feel like there is so much stuff to do in new leaf! Hope to see more, loved this video!!
I recently bought a 3DS and Animal Crossing New leaf. Animal Crossing: New leaf is really fun. My first game was New Horizons and after watching your videos i became interested in the older games now I have Wild world, New leaf and new horizons
you made me pull out my 3ds so I could start another new leaf file!!! I would LOVE to see days 101-365 🤩 as someone who has hundreds of hours in this game, it would be great to see you live it to the fullest!
I got back into New Leaf myself just a few weeks ago and it was so nice to step back into my familiar town. I'm a little surprised at how much you focused on house expansion and how little you hung out with your villagers, but then that's the beauty of a game allowing different playstyles! :) also I really love bug-hunting on the island actually, once you have the stealth mechanic down it's quite relaxing (and very, very profitable) Oh yeah, other people have said this but for most of the public works projects to be unlocked, villagers have to run up to you and suggest them to you. I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing your town after another 265 days 👀
Great video! I have so much nostalgia for new leaf as it was my first ac game. I love this game to death, the music, the art style, the gameplay, even the villagers (even if they are not rude). This game is my most played 3ds and is still one of my favourite games of all time.
For me, the easiest way is, the island. I chopped down every tree.. i just left two coconut Palms standing on the opposite if the islands. I destroyed every flower, so nothing exept a few small insects are spawning on the Island and the valuble bugs on the palms. Takes me 30 minutes to fill the whole boxes.
I reset my animal crossing town a while back and I'm really happy to be experiencing the game all over again. Right now, most of the villagers I have I like. With the exception of two: Naomi, and moose. Also, just for the future, every day in new leaf there will be one rock in the town that gives a gemstone when you break it. You'll know which one it is, because it'll look out of place with the rest of the rocks placed in the town by default
😍 365 days.....let's go! I miss NL, even after a whole year it was still interesting. NH is a boring doll house for children. After a few months of NH I completed everything and never wanted to go back...but I still remember my villagers from NL. It even helped my daughter learn to read and write- I would make her write letters to her villagers.
new leaf has to be my favorite animal crossing game, sure wild world was my first AC game but i sunk thousands of hours in my NL town so watching u play it is giving me so much nostaglia, i would visit my gram a lot when this first came out so it brings me back to the days where i would sleep over and stay up super late playing this game
I also just recently started replaying New Leaf in March and honestly I love it even more than the first time I played it. In my opinion, it definitely has way more charm than New Horizons. Also, if you have a second 3DS and another copy of new leaf (or friends lol), traveling to other people’s towns adds way more gameplay element too like having one of their villagers randomly move into your town, train station upgrades, and multiplayer island tour mini games. Also, to get more public works projects, you literally have to wait till one of your villagers “pings” you for a request. One way to ensure they recommend a pwp instead of a random request is by walking around your town with an empty inventory(so they won’t try and buy something from you). Works like a charm after just walking a few laps around town.
Lets go, when i first got introduced to this channel, I loved the 100 days series, and I wanted to see how it goes for newer tittles but I saw there arent newer than city folk, but lets go this is a brand new one of new leaf 🎉
I really love playing New Leaf, been playing it actively for 9 months so far, I especially like interacting with the villagers, still working on obtaining all villager photos excluding the April Fools event (managed to get 8 unique), I've had the same 10 villagers for 7 months and yet to have one move out.
As someone who mostly played New Leaf when I was younger, I adored watching your video as it reminded me of when I first bought the game! I hope you continue to do the 365 day video!
I really missed all of the different upgrades you could get in New Leaf. Kinda sad you couldnt upgrade the Nook store in New Horizons past the first one.
This really made me want to play New leaf again! I didnt know like HALF the stuff this game offered as a kid, so id love to see a longer version exploring more!
New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game when I first got my nintendo 3ds All I remember is Penelope was first favorite villager and was devestated when Daisy moved away from my town 😭
I just touched my old save file just yesterday and the animals does count how many years you were gone for which was funny. for 10 years, based off the animals has told me. I haven't done much progress of collecting bells to pay off the home bills, K.K. song collection, museum, gyroid collections. I'll try to do that for this year
oh you're expanding this one? ok no worries, I don't mind learning more about AC games, you'll get to 100 days New Horizons eventually, no rush, just have fun man, that's what Animal Crossing is about, and adorable animals OwO
Honestly, I think you would have got their approval rating sooner if you'd just accept the goofy nicknames. I would think having a nickname for you would make them feel closer to you like you're their good buddy.
Detail about turnips, the prince has two values per day: one for the morning and one for the evening. I used an interesting web calculator to predict how soon you should wait to get the best profits, because catching beetles for profit the entire day was a road to madness. It was more fun to spend time helping Blathers and remodeling my city with road patterns and flowers than going back and forth to the island.
This was the video I’ve been waiting so long for you to do but you absolutely need to do a 365 day video next cuz there is so many things Left out which j shows how huge and detailed new leaf is and why it’s the best game in the whole series by far
I only got to own 3ds since early 2024. Nintendo was never big in my country. Quickly after me my girlfirend bought herself a 3ds. We played New Horizons for couple hours on switch and dropped it. However New Leaf is keeping us addicted for maaany hours now. It is wonderful.
Public work projects can be obtained when villagers walk up to you and ask. One will come up to you for example, they might suggest a spinx statue for public works project. They come around acassionly.
You do meet Blanca on April fools day in this game and you have to decide which animal villager is the real one and which is the imposter using clues. Once you did all of the villagers in your town you get to draw on its face. That's what I remember.
To make beetle hunting easier I chopped down the fruit trees so that way only the beetles would spawn on trees. I still had butterflies and other bugs show up but just have the palm trees made it a whole lot easier
Damn, I've never seen it take that long for someone to get a 100% approval rating. Were you not donating stuff to the museum? I'm pretty sure everything you donate gives you a point. Donating a lot to the museum should get you 100% in a day or two.
I remember how I used to go to the island for bugs, and would purposely not leave until the drop box only had Golden Stags. Would take breaks by doing the mini games on the island lol
You can buy each item in re tail and sell it for more than you bought it for! You can put items on the blue stands and villagers will buy your stuff for 4 times what Reese will buy them for minus one bell. 🎉
I don’t know if you’ve ever told us but where the heck did you get that synthy remix of the NH theme? Did you make it yourself?? I want to listen to it so bad
The only reason it's easier to grind bells in nh vs nl is with all the (admittedly now desolate) communities around turnip trading, you're pretty much guaranteed to make a nice roi every week
Honestly, if you could choose where your villagers lived in New Leaf, it would absolutely be my favorite animal crossing. That is literally the only factor why I don't play new leaf anymore. I don't like new villages wrecking my decorating efforts.

With the exception of two: Naomi, and moose. Also, just for the future, every day in new leaf there will be one rock in the town that gives a gemstone when you break it. You'll know which one it is, because it'll look out of place with the rest of the rocks placed in the town by default
your playstyle infuriates me hahahahaha yet i keep coming back to this video
so excited for this video! i’ve been waiting for it for a while. great video as always. keep it up!
omg!!! i just started new leaf on wednesday and i LOVE IT .. amazing upload
I just revisited my animal crossing new leaf town, and I have already found that it is more fun than new horizons.
Naming a horse Elmer (as in Elmer’s GLUE) is wild
On the island, if you cut down all the trees in the middle and keep just the palm trees, you’ll have more chances of catching rare beetles ❤
I’ve been waiting so long for another one of these thank you 😭😭😭
i started watching the others a few weeks ago and i fell in love and ive been waiting for this and im so glad it dropped!!!
So glad you're continuing this game on :).
So glad I you uploaded this I’ve been waiting and hyped for months ever since November when I first got new leaf also love you videos keep it up 👍
omg. I literally found your 100 days series a few days ago and was wishing you made a New Leaf one. Literally my first game ever
Im hyped for the 365 days video, it's gonna be awesome!!
YES ITS HERE!!!!
1:13:50 He said the thing! Absolutely incredible work, 10/10
New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game when I first got my nintendo 3ds
All I remember is Penelope was first favorite villager and was devestated when Daisy moved away from my town 😭
New horizons will happen eventually!
@@RocketElijah I guessed so, so take your time and have fun, I wanna see what you'll do next
@@RocketElijah no worries
I love watching these 100 days in animal crossing that you do, its like we're time travelling
Honestly, I think you would have got their approval rating sooner if you'd just accept the goofy nicknames. I would think having a nickname for you would make them feel closer to you like you're their good buddy.
Hooray it’s here!!! I love this series so much!!!!
its good to see you acknowledge you have a gambling addiction
Detail about turnips, the prince has two values per day: one for the morning and one for the evening. I used an interesting web calculator to predict how soon you should wait to get the best profits, because catching beetles for profit the entire day was a road to madness. It was more fun to spend time helping Blathers and remodeling my city with road patterns and flowers than going back and forth to the island.
babe wake up, rocket Elijah just posted
9:45 hahaha I always used Space Truckin' for my town tune
This was the video I’ve been waiting so long for you to do but you absolutely need to do a 365 day video next cuz there is so many things
Left out which j shows how huge and detailed new leaf is and why it’s the best game in the whole series by far
I only got to own 3ds since early 2024. Nintendo was never big in my country. Quickly after me my girlfirend bought herself a 3ds. We played New Horizons for couple hours on switch and dropped it. However New Leaf is keeping us addicted for maaany hours now. It is wonderful.
21:25 a dictator 😂😂😂
YESSSS i’ve been waiting for this one!!
Can’t wait for part 2! I’m playing new leaf again too 😃
I legit love the fact the homeless looking mouse "moved" out of the village but just relocated to the back of nooks
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISS!!!! Lets go
I’m so excited for this!
Yesss!!! I’m so glad you’re doing 365 days in new leaf
Public work projects can be obtained when villagers walk up to you and ask. One will come up to you for example, they might suggest a spinx statue for public works project. They come around acassionly.
Wait did you go to even one comedy show?? I was so looking forward to your reaction to it and what it gets you
This is my favourite animal crossing game by far
As someone who has only played New Leaf and New Horizons... I stan New Leaf, I love it.
I'm still mourning the loss of the Dream Suite service 😭
You do meet Blanca on April fools day in this game and you have to decide which animal villager is the real one and which is the imposter using clues. Once you did all of the villagers in your town you get to draw on its face. That's what I remember.
I remember destroying the trees and flowers on the island for beetle hunting. I also moved the beach trees for the least chance to scare the beetles.
To make beetle hunting easier I chopped down the fruit trees so that way only the beetles would spawn on trees. I still had butterflies and other bugs show up but just have the palm trees made it a whole lot easier
Seeing him not use the bell boom ordinance is so infuriating T-T
It absolutely kills me you only got like 70K from the island, I get over 300K per trip
Just remember it's actually 366 days because of the leap year!!
That moment when you can get 100% approval in a single day by talking to people more than once.
I’ve been waiting for this video for whole life
Damn, I've never seen it take that long for someone to get a 100% approval rating. Were you not donating stuff to the museum? I'm pretty sure everything you donate gives you a point. Donating a lot to the museum should get you 100% in a day or two.
I remember how I used to go to the island for bugs, and would purposely not leave until the drop box only had Golden Stags. Would take breaks by doing the mini games on the island lol
fishing for a dab in the river? silly elijah!
This game was my childhood, it was amazing. So lich content too !
You can buy each item in re tail and sell it for more than you bought it for! You can put items on the blue stands and villagers will buy your stuff for 4 times what Reese will buy them for minus one bell. 🎉
oh god big yes to the pt 2 of this video i seriously cannot wait!
These are my favorite types of videos I’d love to see 365 days!!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSSSSS
Honestly, if you could choose where your villagers lived in New Leaf, it would absolutely be my favorite animal crossing. That is literally the only factor why I don't play new leaf anymore. I don't like new villages wrecking my decorating efforts.
What’s crazy to me is he never used the big bell ordinance
